as wood, as durable as wood and often even looks just like wood. The
truth is, it is a grass, but don't let that put you off. Bamboo is
one of the wonders of nature that is being put to great use as, yes
you've guessed it, bamboo wood flooring.

The bamboo is harvested and then goes through a process to rid it
of starch and bugs and to turn it into small squared off wooden like
strips. The small strips are then laminated into one of two types of
bamboo flooring planks, namely horizontal or
            vertical. The planks
make ideal flooring for homes and offices alike and a range of

The publishing of billions of thoughts, opinions and experiences online in the form of blog posts, videos, ratings, reviews and photos is fundamentally changing the way everybody online sources opinions on products, brands and services when they buy something.

This has huge impacts on the way that advertisers and brands have to think about social media - moving involvement from a “nice to have” to an “essential to have.”

In fact, it has become so easy to influence that we can now consider everyone, well certainly everyone online, an influencer to some degree.

The number 1 reason that consumers review a product is a good experience, or a friend having a good experience. Sony have unveiled the world's thinnest television, the Sony Bravia ZX1, which
has a screen as slim as a CD case.

Impressive it may be but anyone wanting one will have to deep dig into their

As I've said, the problem here is that (1) The FairTax act was introduced by a Republican; and, (2) it would constitute the most massive transfer of power from the government back to the people in the history of our Republic. The thinking in Washington is that our economic problems can only be solved through the enhancement of government power.

Clip Source: boortz.com

Several listeners alerted me to this bit that appeared on
Kiplinger.com written by Knight Kiplinger, the editor of the Kiplinger Personal
Finance magazine. In the article Kiplinger is proposing fixes for some of our
current financial problems. This section dealt with tax reform:

Reform the tax code. The best thing Washington could do to supercharge
private savings would be to tax consumption rather than income. The Byzantine
U.S. tax code (all 60,000 pages of it) should be scrapped. All present federal
taxes -- on personal and corporate income, capital gains, estates, even payroll
taxes (FICA) -- should be gradually replaced by a new, national consumer sales
tax, collected by the states at the point of purchase and forwarded to
Washington.

At every income level, big spenders would pay a lot of taxes, super savers
much less. Poor people would get all their sales taxes rebated. (For more
information on one version of a consumption tax, visit
	www.fairtax.org.)

Tags: reform the tax code, supercharge private savings, federal taxes -- scrap personal and corporate inco, capital gains, estates, (fica) payroll taxes

<clipSource>http://boortz.com/nuze/index.html</clipSource>

US gas prices still going down, might go below $3

clipped by: Farvyoo
clipper's remarks: Americans have been hitting the road less faced with the country's current economic situation. NEW YORK (Reuters) -
The average price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States recorded its largest drop ever as consumer demand continued to wane and oil prices slid, a prominent industry analyst said on Sunday.

"Plummeting oil prices and caving gasoline demand have combined to bring the biggest retail gasoline price cut in the history of the market," Trilby Lundberg, who compiles the survey, said in an interview. "We've been doing this 58 years. This is truly the biggest price drop."

Meanwhile, travel on all U.S. roads fell 3.6 percent, or nearly 10 billion vehicle miles in July, compared with the same period last year, according to the most recent figures provided by the Transportation Department. It was the ninth straight month of declining driving activity.

Tags: fuel crisis, us recession, wold oil crisis

<clipSource>http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20081012/us_nm/us_gasprices_lundberg</clipSource>

Countries which speak French

clipped by: BitterSwett77

Clip Source: learnfrench.elanguageschool.net

She tells The Times of a two-year strategy to get her company, owner of consumer UK magazine publisher IPC Media, through the downturn—which will look to address its nine percent Q208 drop in ad revenue. Digital revenues grew 73 percent in 2007 and now make up 15 percent of the group's total ad revenue. Moore considers Time not a magazine publisher but a "content company" But as The Times's Dan Sabbagh writes: "Nevertheless, print magazine advertising is heading south this year, and digital growth in 2008 will miss the previous 53 per cent target".

I can't speak for anyone else but my own family, but the only thing that's been bothersome about our economy has been the increase in food prices. Lower gas prices should help...maybe...considering the transportation of food to local markets. Now if we can get rid of that dumb ethanol idea, pursue our drilling options and encourage the movement towards our alternatives, we have a go! The worse thing we can do is tie ourselves to the "global" financial option being proposed in Europe.

Clip Source: www.reuters.com

U.S. gasoline price marks biggest drop ever: survey

The average price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States recorded its largest drop ever as consumer demand continued to wane and oil prices slid,

It was the lowest national average price since March 21, 2008.

"Plummeting oil prices and caving gasoline demand have combined to bring the biggest retail gasoline price cut in the history of the market,"

Lundberg said the average gasoline price could fall below $3.00 a gallon as early as December.

<clipSource>http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSTRE49B38D20081012?feedType=RSS&feedName=domesticNews&rpc=22&sp=true</clipSource>
