on 2nd June 2009 i paid for the product 999 SR + 144 SR for 4 years service from the EXTRA UEC, and on 6th June 2009 i received the product.

i had problem with the machine immediately so i tried to call them through toll free number but no response, but they were prompt in attending the calls and collecting data’s.
in my bussy schedule i manage to go to the show room in person on 7th July 2009 and asked for replacement for the machine they refused,

Message from the Gyre

These photographs of albatross chicks were made just a few weeks ago on Midway Atoll, a tiny stretch of sand and coral near the middle of the North Pacific. The nesting babies are fed bellies-full of plastic by their parents, who soar out over the vast polluted ocean collecting what looks to them like food to bring back to their young. On this diet of human trash, every year tens of thousands of albatross chicks die on Midway from starvation, toxicity, and choking.

To document this phenomenon as faithfully as possible, not a single piece of plastic in any of these photographs was moved, placed, manipulated, arranged, or altered in any way. These images depict the actual stomach contents of baby birds in one of the world's most remote marine sanctuaries, more than 2000 miles from the nearest continent.

1 Million Spiders Make Golden Silk for Rare Cloth

clipper's remarks: Peers came up with the idea of weaving spider silk after learning about the French missionary Jacob Paul Camboué, who worked with spiders in Madagascar during the 1880s and 1890s. Camboué built a small, hand-driven machine to extract silk from up to 24 spiders at once, without harming them.

To produce this unique golden cloth, 70 people spent four years collecting golden orb spiders from telephone poles in Madagascar, while another dozen workers carefully extracted about 80 feet of silk filament from each of the arachnids. The resulting 11-foot by 4-foot textile is the only large piece of cloth made from natural spider silk existing in the world today.

“Spider silk is very elastic, and it has a tensile strength that is incredibly strong compared to steel or Kevlar,” said textile expert Simon Peers, who co-led the project. “There’s scientific research going on all over the world right now trying to replicate the tensile properties of spider silk and apply it to all sorts of areas in medicine and industry, but no one up until now has succeeded in replicating 100 percent of the properties of natural spider silk.”

If not for the dichotomy of the overbearing plantation-owner attitude both she and Barack Obama demonstrate–Michelle Obama’s inspiring roots would otherwise be compelling.

Obama’s approach toward government indicates that he identifies with the slave owners not with the slaves who reside in Michelle’s family tree. Obama should hearken to the words of Abraham Lincoln who poignantly expressed in an April 1859 letter, “…he who would be no slave, must consent to have no slave. Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.”

APO Philatelic Society

The Amateur Philatelists Organization or APO (forerunner of the APO Philatelic Society) was organized on May 28, 1950 by the triumvirate of Messrs. Francisco Arcebal, Carlos Licup, and Mamerto Gallardo. The APO was founded on the paramount objective of bringing the hobby of stamp collecting into the consciousness of beginners and amateur philatelists by motivating them, educating them with proper guidance in the different aspects of philately, and rearing them to be responsible and competitive stamp collectors.

The first issue of the APO Newsletter came out in March, 1954. Carlos Reyes was the editor; Teresita del Fierro and Bernardo Sembrano, managing editors. On January, 1969, the club published its official organ, APOSTAMPS, with newly-elected President, Epifanio Paras, as editor.

How many times have we parents purchased a toy hoping it would be one that our kids would enjoy over and over again, only to find it collecting dust within a week. An international seed bank has reached its target of collecting 10% of the world's wild plants, with seeds of a pink banana among its latest entries.

The wild banana, Musa itinerans, is a favourite of wild Asian elephants.

Seeds from the plant, which is under threat from agriculture, join 1.7 billion already stored by Kew's Millennium Seed Bank partnership.

The project has been described as an "insurance strategy" against future biodiversity losses.

The seed bank partnership, which involves more than 120 organisations in 54 countries, is now aiming to collect and conserve seeds from a quarter of the Earth's flowering plant species by 2020.

A wild banana has been chosen as a flagship species

All the seeds are kept both in their country of origin and in Royal Botanic Gardens Kew's premises at Wakehurst Place, West Sussex, where they are stored in underground vaults that are kept at -20C.

Cops lose 2-gram bag of cocaine used to train dogs

NAPLES, Fla. – Police in Naples are on the lookout for cocaine. Somehow, they lost their stash. A 2-gram packet was discovered missing this summer from a narcotics kit used in training. Two officers lost it in April, but they're unsure where. It could've been the police parking lot or an airport rental car, but the likely spot was a hotel.

The veteran pair checked out the kit to train their police dogs, but the one who usually handles the drugs was called to a scene. By the time she returned, the dogs were energetic and destroying the room.

The officers said they were focusing more on straightening up the hotel room than collecting the drugs, so the bag probably got left.

They weren't reprimanded — supervisors say it was an honest mistake.

MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho — Marion Lewis says if he had his way, he’d take Washington, D.C.-area sniper John Allen Muhammad into the Idaho desert near his home and kill him slowly, over three days.

“He would be screaming the whole time. That’s why I can’t claim to be a good Christian,“ said Lewis, whose 25-year-old daughter was killed in Maryland in the 2002 sniper spree.

He doesn’t have the money for the trip to see his daughter’s killer breathe his last breath. The 57-year-old construction worker says he has been waylaid by the recession, hasn’t held a steady job for two years and has been collecting unemployment on-and-off since 2007. He’s trying to unload a house near Boise in a short sale.

The only thing better than being in the death chamber Nov. 10 would be to personally execute Muhammad, he said.

“Pushing the button, yeah,“ Lewis said. “During the trial, I never went to the court because I didn’t figure I needed to end up in jail. His guards wouldn’t have been able to keep him from me.“

What is it about scrapbooking that can be helpful for the individual with early Alzheimer's disease? It's the activities involved in it, such as collecting old photos and keepsakes. While patients often have problems with short-term memory, they may be able to recall past experiences. Scrapbooking for Alzheimer's patients can lead to a conversation about people and events. For instance, one lady who lived to be 104 years old could be encouraged to talk about her experience with the Titanic. If these memories had been scrapbooked, how interesting that would have been. For the Alzheimer's patient, the point is the interaction between him or her and those caring for them, whether family or professional or both.
