JUST WHAT IS THE SUGAR CONTENT OF FRUIT JUICE?
We’ll use orange, apple, cherry and grape juice as examples. Even with
no sugar added, fruit juice contains about the same amount of sugar
as the same amount of soft drink.
Because apples, oranges and grapes are naturally full of sugar.
(No surprise there: Processed sugar comes from plants, usually corn
or sugar cane or sugar beets.) The table below compares the sugar in
12 ounces of juice (no sugar added) with 12 ounces (one can) of
Coca-Cola. If you look at the nutrition label on a can of Coke or
fruit juice, the “carbohydrate” is mostly sugar. Four grams of
sugar carbs equal approximately 1 teaspoon of
 sugar.

12

Rather than becoming inured to all the extra fees, passengers are becoming more and more incensed. Just take a look at a sample of comments posted by readers of the Consumerist blog in reaction to the latest Delta announcement:

In all seriousness, what can airline passengers do in reaction to all the fees? Are there any avenues left, short of not flying?
I find this stuff fascinatin'! Well worth looking at the BBC videos! I'm not so sure about the text from LJ--kind of a dilletante, that one...
Bein' an old Hippie who did a lot of psychedelic drugs (a long time ago--and I'm alive and well 'cuz I avoided Coke and other dumbass drugs) ...so the value of my "spiritual" experiences may be directly correlated with the types of "divine" chemicals i took like psylocibin, peyote, LSD and the good herb Pakalolo---or as the guy says in the last video--it may be God's way of giving us an antenna towards the Divine and doesn't make the experience any less real or important. Developing a Spiritual consciousness rather than the mundane, everyday patterns of thought is quite important, neh? I find that I can get some of the same results by meditating (if I do it with regularity and depth, losing the "I")...of course it's not as much fun without the colors and stuff but just as meaningful, if not more. But then I didn't use drugs as recreation b

Clip Source: community.livejournal.com

The BBC recently aired a documentary about how faith can be swayed by the activity residing in the temporal lobe, a center for brain activity; one most commonly paired with certain epileptic activity.

Scientists have debated for years about the role of the temporal lobe on religious activity; one noted change is the correlations between heavy drug/alcohol usage and increased religious activity afterwards. (George W. Bush is one person who springs to mind; spare the jokes, they already have been made.)

(Ironically a majority of conservatives have dealt with heavy drug usage in the past , and currently continue to do so as a side note.)

Thanks in part to anthropomorphic polar bears and overcaffeinated graphic designs, "Coke's identity had become cluttered, uninspiring and easy to ignore." But with the help of "identity and package design firm" Turner Duckworth, the world's most recognizable sugar water brand received a fresh and clean new look that won a first ever Design Grand Prix award at Cannes Lions. The firm's "iconization of heritage" concept included a streamlined aluminum bottle that were based on Coca-Cola's signature glass bottles, a redesign of the cans, new signs/POS, and even graphics for delivery trucks.
