But neither he nor anyone else present seemed to want to discuss the camel in the room, which is terrorism.

It may be hard to comprehend the twisted logic that led to this tragedy. But this much we do know: no faith justifies these murderous and craven acts; no just and loving God looks upon them with favor. For what he has done, we know that the killer will be met with justice–in this world, and the next.

Obama did say one correct thing in the above paragraph: that no just and loving God looks with favor on acts of this kind. A careful read of the Koran and the Hadiths shows that the Allah of Islam is anything but loving, and that Allah’s idea of justice is simple: Follow My law, or My servants will make sure that you die slowly and painfully.

This statement, however, is incorrect: that no faith justifies such acts. Wrong, Mr. President. Classical Islam not only justifies such acts; it commands them.

Tags: fort hood, islam, military, white house, terrorist, treason, jihad, brother mujahid, quran, allah is great

<clipSource>http://merriemarie.amplify.com/2009/11/12/the-camel-in-the-room/</clipSource>

Rome Sightseeing: a day trip to Rome

clipped by: otison
clipper's remarks: Rome

Clip Source: www.summerinitaly.com

Rome Sightseeing: a day trip to Rome

by Erica Firpo, author of "Little Black Book Rome"

    So
you’ve just arrived in Rome for the day as one of many stops on your cruise
around the Mediterranean or before you start a two-week wine tasting vacation in
Tuscany.

What to
do?

As a
private tour guide, I have often been faced with this question. “Where do we
go? What do we see? We don’t have much time but want to see everything. Is
that all there is?” To really visit and know Rome takes more than a few hours,
days, months or even years. I stand to sound cliché but Rome truly wasn’t built
in one day. In fact, it’s several eras of history sandwiched together, and
every day I find something I haven’t seen before or knew existed. It’s
impossible to see even a fraction. But what is feasible is to immerse yourself
in Roman culture, classical to modern, so that you come out soaked with
history. And hopefully, some of it will be retained…

<clipSource>http://www.summerinitaly.com/planning/rome_sightseeing.asp</clipSource>

New quantum algorithm helpes solving big problems.

clipped by: dopesick
clipper's remarks: “Large-scale linear systems of equations exist in many fields, such as weather prediction, engineering, and computer vision”, says Harrow. “Quantum computers could supply serious improvements for these and many other problems. For example, a trillion-variable problem would take a classical computer at least a hundred trillion steps to solve, but using the new algorithm, a quantum computer could solve the problem in just a few hundred steps”.

The solution could also be applied to other complex processes such as image and video processing, genetic analyses and even Internet traffic control.

Sounds pretty good to me!

Clip Source: www.physorg.com

One of the most basic problems in maths is solving very large linear equations. There's nothing mysterious about them, they simply take time and the more variables there are, the longer it takes. Even a supercomputer would struggle to solve a system of equations that has a trillion variables.

Aram Harrow at the University of Bristol and colleagues from MIT in the United States have discovered a quantum algorithm that solves large problems much faster than conventional computers can.

To understand how the quantum algorithm works, think of a digital equaliser in a stereo CD player. The equaliser needs to amplify some components of the signal and attenuate others. Ordinary equalisers employ classical computer algorithms that treat each component of the sound one at a time.

By contrast, a quantum equaliser could employ a quantum algorithm that treats all components together at once (a trick called 'quantum parallelism'). The result is a huge reduction in the difficulty of signal processing.

Tags: algorithm, computers, mathematics, mit, quantum, science, technology

<clipSource>http://www.physorg.com/news177011105.html</clipSource>

Trans-Siberian Orchestra Tickets Salt Lake City

clipped by: joel372

Clip Source: upcoming.yahoo.com

However, in stressful situations, more neurons fire and time seems to slow down. Cosmologists Andrei Linde and Vitaly Vanchurin at Stanford University in California calculate that the number dwarfs the 10500 universes postulated in string theory, and raise the provocative notion that the answer may depend on the human brain.

<img src="http://content6.clipmarks.com/image_cache/celestialdancer/512/8479F9ED-424A-418B-9968-048C7B954480.jpg" alt="Seeing double. With a large number of universes, there is bound to be one that has a dark energy value like ours.

It might be, however, that this number is irrelevant, and that in a world ruled by quantum physics what matters is how many universes a single observer can distinguish. "Before quantum mechanics," says Linde, "we thought that 'reality' was a well-defined word." In classical physics, observers are irrelevant - we simply want to know how many universes exist.

<clipSource>http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg20427323.700-multiplying-universes-how-many-is-the-multiverse.html?DCMP=OTC-rss&nsref=space</clipSource>

Chanel Reissue 2.55 Chain Red Bag with Rectangular Shape Mademoiselle Lock 36015

clipped by: lusily
clipper's remarks: GUARANTEE

We Guarantee our Products!

EuropeHandbag.com guarantees to deliver all products defective-free. Americans, as they’re known to do, have taken the ball and run with it. Below is a list of some of the most famous, classic symbols that represent the holiday known as Halloween.

Clip Source: www.dotellall.com

Bram Stoker's Dracula vs. Sparkling Tween Vampires : The Halloween Paradox

Witches:

extremely recognizable Halloween symbol is that of the witch, a practicioner of evil magic called ‘witchcraft.’ Witches come with several recognizable visual attributes, one being the ability to fly on a broomstick using their dark magic and wearing a pointy, black hat. While witches are portrayed as a ficticious symbol of evil, real witch hunts took place in Salem, Mass., in the late 1600’s. Women accused of practicing witchcraft were hunted and imprisoned, or even worse, killed. This is part of what led to the evil stigma surrounding the witch, which can be seen floating around neighborhoods in abundance on Halloween collecting candy, as it is a very popular and very easily-created costume.

Jack-O-Lantern:

Vampires:

Werewolves:

Tags: halloween, halloween costumes, witches, ghosts, vampires

<clipSource>http://www.dotellall.com/article/halloween-characters.html</clipSource>

Travel: 36 hours in Sacramento

clipped by: Lexica
clipper's remarks: Too long to clip – click through for the rest, including shopping, dining, wine tasting, at least one bar that serves absinthe, farmers' markets, and bicycling.

Clip Source: travel.nytimes.com

Sacramento has no deficit of quirky cultural offerings.
