Authorities have been examining whether Fort Hood massacre suspect Nidal Malik Hasan wired money to Pakistan in recent months, an action that one senior lawmaker said would raise serious questions about Hasan's possible connections to militant Islamic groups.

Hoekstra, the ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, would not identify the sources. But he said "they are trying to follow up on it because they recognize that if there are communications – phone or money transfers with somebody in Pakistan – it just raises a whole other level of questions."

Consequently, I have purchased other laser printers, both color and monochrome, recommended to business products made by HP. However, in July of this year, all that changed and I no longer will praise Hewlett Packard.

I have owned a number of HP products over the years, dating back to my first laser printer in 1993. That product was finally donated to a local charity organization in perfect working order with never a problem in all the years I owned it. Consequently, I have purchased other laser printers, both color and monochrome, recommended to business associates, family and friends products made by HP. However, in July of this year, all that changed and I no longer will praise Hewlett Packard, but find every opportunity to make sure these individuals steer clear of your company. It is not the products which are under fire, but your service or lack thereof, which I have now named Customer Careless, rather than Customer Care.

Bollywood star to sing on Mumbai attacks tribute

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan is to lend his voice to a song commemorating those who died in last year’s Islamist militant attacks on Mumbai, a report said Wednesday.

The actor, who has attained megastar status in his 40-year career in the Hindi-language film industry, said the song would be “on the spirit of Mumbai, its resilience and its character of being able to withstand all storms”.

What is a cleft lip and cleft palate?

A cleft is an opening in the lip, the roof of the mouth or the soft tissue in the back of the mouth. A cleft lip may be accompanied by an opening in the bones of the upper jaw and/or the upper gum. A cleft palate occurs when the two sides of a palate do not join together, resulting in an opening in the roof of the mouth. A cleft lip and palate can occur on one side or both sides. Discrimination is one of the greatest evils to have ever beset mankind. Use of terminology such as "mankind" is sexist, and constitutes hate speech.

Kids think Hitler was a football coach

One in 20 British schoolchildren thinks Adolf Hitler was a German football manager, according to a new survey.

One in six youngsters believed Auschwitz was a theme park - and one in 12 thought the Blitz was a European clean-up operation following World War II.

The embarrassing findings are contained in a poll for the veterans' charity Erskine, which asked 2,000 kids aged nine to 11 about the two world wars.

One in four said they did not think about soldiers who died then, and 40% had no idea when Remembrance Day is.

Erskine chief executive Major Jim Panton said: "Some answers to this poll have shocked us and show we have a part to play, not just in caring for veterans but in educating society.

"Children are the future of the country. It is important we help them learn about our history."

The Erskine charity, which provides nursing and medical care for veterans, will now take part in a national scheme to educate kids about the world wars.

They did this in both playoff and non-playoff cities - so it was really targeted toward the hard-core fan who just enjoys the sport.

When I was with Flying Dog Brewery, we had good success creating tweetups to build stronger awareness and relationships with our consumers. But the cool thing is that loyal consumer who would come to the event would almost always bring someone who was less familiar with the brand, so we got to talk to a partially new audience.

The great thing about tweetups is that you can really build the event around any theme because the objective is to come and meet like-minded people. Whether it's the love of hockey, beer or charity event if you get the word out to the right people and throw out an interesting offer for their attendance, people will come

Big in-person attendance. More than 1200 people attended tweet-ups in 23 cities (including events in New Zealand and Northern Ireland) for the opening night of the playoffs. Many fans organized further tweet-ups as their teams progressed through the playoffs as well

Bigger online chatter. Those attendees talked a lot about the events on Twitter: On the opening night of the playoffs, the term "NHL" was mentioned on Twitter more than twice as often as on a normal day. And #NHLtweetup became a trending topic for the day.

Enormous total reach. According to the league's research, as many as 240,000 people could have heard about the event on Twitter. And the tweet-ups also generated press coverage that reached millions, including a story in USA Today.
