Every 6 minutes a new text message is sent. Most will count down from 9,999.
The person getting the text messages won't know how many text messages they will be getting. So for 10 text messages over an hour
they will know they are about to get 9,999 more text messages. Because the service is free and I'm not dumb enough to give this type
of power to EVERYBODY, I have decided on the limit of 10 text messages. Also you will need to return after the current TextBomb has
completed before you can start a new one on the same person. Happy bombing, and make sure you don't make the mistake of ending up on
the recieving end of this service. This year, the robust note-taking software Evernote is your answer. Let's take a look at how you can use your computer, cellphone, and digital camera in conjunction with the free, cross-platform application Evernote to remember everything for the rest of your life—or at least until the end of the semester.

Verizon obviously didn't plan for this flyer--essentially a list of anti-iPhone talking points for its employees--to become public. While the specifics are interesting--there are a lot of exclamatory points!--it's not surprising that the company drew up such a list. I'm sure plenty of consumers walk into Verizon stores inquiring about the iPhone. It's sound business to prepare your employees for such conversations.

Clip Source: gizmodo.com

Oh, deary deary me... Verizon's tactics to combat the JesusPhone 3G now include briefing its employees about the iPhone's failings, so they can answer customer questions about why it doesn't carry the device. There are four big "myths" about the cellphone apparently, ranging from "twice as fast" to "iPhone data plan covers all data," there's even a dig about the lack of audible turn-by-turn GPS navigation. Hasn't Verizon worked out that that's just an app, and is a facility that may yet be added in the future?

My fave "mythbusting" point has to be that the iPhone 3G "will be twice as fast only where AT&T has 3G coverage!" No shit... like, you can only run trains on train tracks? OK, so it's really a dig at AT&T's 3G coverage, but you get my point.

This has apparently been distributed within Verizon, and though there's the possibility that it's not quite legit, it certainly seems the real deal to me.

Tags: verizon, at&t, iphone, apple

<clipSource>http://gizmodo.com/5041213/leaked-document-shows-verizons-psyops-anti+iphone-propaganda</clipSource>

iBasket Laundry Concept is Clothes Hamper, Washer For The Lazy

clipped by: FidoDido78

Clip Source: gizmodo.com

Like most New Yorkers, my building has no laundry facilities of its own and, in order to get clean clothes, I have to summon the willpower to drag my brimming bag three blocks. Oh, if only I had this automated washing machine basket instead. Designed by Guopeng Liang and one of the finalists in Electrolux's Design Lab '08 contest, the iBasket is a space saving clothes hamper and washing machine in one.

The device sports an all clear body and is programmed to begin the wash cycle once your clothes pile up to a certain weight. After giving your unmentionables a good rinse down, it sends a message to your PC or cellphone via its integrated wi-fi. Other than the annoyingly unimaginative name (trust me, iAm as iSick of iThis and iThat as you guys are), this gadget idea seems pretty golden. "Um... what?" you may be now thinking... but that's exactly the design, even though it sounds like the disposable cameras of yesterdecade. The lab either wipes the cam and resells it, or breaks it down for parts—the 2.4-inch screen could go into a cellphone, for example. They're cheap, at around $12 in Japan, and the waterproof version could be fun, and I can see the sense in forcing you to recycle, since it's better than tossing a disused camera in the trash. But it's so bizarre a concept it's difficult to understand without a good long think.

Tags: cameras, photography, recycling

<clipSource>http://gizmodo.com/5038720/digital-camera-forces-you-to-recycle-by-witholding-your-photos</clipSource>

LG KG290 Rhino Cell Phone & Accessories

clipped by: lixjannet

Clip Source: jaxboo.com

LG KG290 Rhino Cell Phone & Accessories

The LG KG290 Rhino mobile phone with a 262,000 colour screen, ideal for playing Java games, can send images and sounds. It's is about getting the latest cellphone (with web browser capabilities), downloading the right software (QR Reader) to read those pixelated bar codes that you can scan with a mobile phone, and training your fingers for a quick browsing between the latest items. In fact it's so new and sophisticated that Polo Ralph Lauren, the very first luxury retail brand to launch the mobile shopping site in the US, had to include FAQs section on its homepage.
