“WHY WAS THE ZIONIST JEW Philip Zelikow appointed as Executive Director of the 9-11 Commission?” many are now asking. Indeed, many are saying that Zelikow, with his close ties to Condoleezza Rice, Cheney, & President George Bush, could not conduct an unbiased investigation as Director of the Commission.

In his new book, The Commission: The Uncensored History of the 9-11 Investigation, Philip Shenon wrote: “The appointment of Zelikow to head the inquiry into America’s response to the September 11 terrorist attacks was akin to putting the fox in charge of the hen house.”

The Family Steering Committee for the 9-11 Commission repeatedly called for Philip Zelikow’s resignation. The families, citing Zelikow’s close connections to the Bush Administration, were concerned that Zelikow’s appointment made a mockery of the idea that the Commission was “independent.” But the Zionist controlled Bush Administration ignored their complaint.

(Newser Summary) – President Obama confounded Hugo Chávez’s attempts to implicate Washington in the Honduran coup by calling for President Manuel Zelaya’s reinstatement, Simon Romero writes for the New York Times. When the coup was announced, Chávez immediately suggested that the US was financing Zelaya’s opponents or, as happened during a coup against Chávez himself in 2002, knew of the coming putsch and did nothing to stop it.

Chávez seemed to be expecting Obama to express support for the coup while hotly denying the Venezuelan president’s charges. Instead, Obama called the Honduran coup “illegal” and urged that the president be reinstated, neutering Chávez’s accusations without mentioning his name. Furthermore, he turned to the Organization of American States for help resolving the issue—a stark contrast to the Bush administration’s unilateralism.

Even at that early date, the message from Bush was "find a way to do this," according to O'Neill, a critic of the Iraq invasion who was forced out of his job in December 2002.

The New Yorker's Jane Mayer later made another discovery: a secret NSC document dated February 3, 2001 - only two weeks after Bush took office - instructing NSC officials to cooperate with Cheney's task force, which was "melding" two previously unrelated areas of policy: "the review of operational policies towards rogue states" and "actions regarding the capture of new and existing oil and gas fields." Eager to Tap Iraq's Vast Oil Reserves, Industry Execs Suggested Invasion

Two years before the invasion of Iraq, oil executives and foreign policy advisers told the Bush administration that the United States would remain "a prisoner of its energy dilemma" as long as Saddam Hussein was in power.

That April 2001 report, "Strategic Policy Challenges for the 21st Century," was prepared by the James A. Baker Institute for Public Policy and the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations at the request of then-Vice President Dick Cheney.

In retrospect, it appears that the report helped focus administration thinking on why it made geopolitical sense to oust Hussein, whose country sat on the world's second largest oil reserves.

A Focus on Oil

But Bush's first treasury secretary, Paul O'Neill, later described a White House interest in invading Iraq and controlling its vast oil reserves, dating back to the first days of the Bush presidency.

Here's an intriguing detail from the new 685-page tome on Donald Rumsfeld, Bradley Graham's By His Own Rules: The Ambitions, Successes, and Ultimate Failures of Donald Rumsfeld: Several Rumsfeld associates say the defense secretary didn't order any cuts of major weapons programs early in his tenure because of financial stakes he held in the defense business.

Rumsfeld valued his personal fortune at between $50 to $210 million at the beginning of the Bush Administration. The problem was many of the securities he held were in companies that did business with the DOD, which could put Rumsfeld in violation of government ethics rules

So Rumsfeld had to divest some of these assets -- a whole lot of them, it turned out. And during that process, which went "slowly," Graham reports, Rumsfeld simply put off canceling any major weapons programs, a move some on his staff apparently expected him to make. Rumsfeld's specific thinking is unclear.

A herd of Texas Jersey milk cows which Gov. Palin will soon be shooting from a helicopter.

WASILLA, Alaska - Governor Sarah Palin and her husband Todd, The First Dude, have just purchased President George Bush's Texas Ranch.

The 1,583 acre ranch, was originally supposed to have been bought by England's Queen Elizabeth, but apparently there was some little problem with her credit.

Governor Palin said that as soon as she found out that 'English Liz' would not be buying it, she had her finance manager make some calls to Texas.

Governor Palin had been wanting to buy the ranch ever since she first saw it on eBay back in November. The ranch house has eight bedrooms, four bathrooms, a red phone, a four truck garage, a butter churning room, an industrial cornbread dispenser, and a helicopter hangar.

"Snowflake" Sarah told reporters that her and her husband plan to rename the Bush ranch "Rancho Saracuda."

The Obama administration has yet to hold accountable those who authorized torture -- torture that killed at least 100 people.

Today, several prominent bloggers are writing about detainees who died in U.S. custody, using documents released through the ACLU’s Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. We’re not talking suicide, or death by "natural causes." No, this is death as a result of torture and abuse while in custody. This effort comes on the eve of the release -- we hope -- of the CIA Inspector General’s report on waterboarding. (You might’ve heard last Friday that the release was delayed.)

Stop the presses and shut off the RSS feeds: the bashiest of the Bush-bashers is starting to appreciate the Exile of Crawford.

I haven't forgiven George W. Bush for stealing two elections, starting two wars, bankrupting the treasury and doing his damnedest to turn the U.S. into a fascist state. He deserves one of hell's hottest picnic spots for refusing to lift a finger to bring the 9/11 murderers to justice. Bush was stupid. He was vicious. He should be in prison.

He was the worst president the U.S. had ever had. Until this one.

On major issues and a lot of minor ones, Obama is the same as or worse than Bush. But Bush had an opposition to contend with. Obama has a compliant Democratic Congress. Lulled to somnolent apathy by Obama's charming manners, mastery of English (and yes, the color of his skin), leftist activists and journalists have been reduced to quiet disappointment, mild grumbling and unaccountable patience.

Obama's "good cop" routine has masked the reality that his administration has followed the same policy paths in finance and geopolitics as "bad cop" George W. Bush.

'I finally understand the fundamental analogy of American politics, and of course it's drawn from film/television: good cop, bad cop. You know the scenario: Bad Cop enters the room and recalcitrant suspect/perp gazes up in hostile, stony silence.

'Bad Cop "softens up" the suspect/perp with a "we're going to kick derriere and take names later" speech and then moves on to hardnosed "persuasion:" It'll be a lot easier on you if you cooperate, tough guy, but if you want to play tough, then fine, play tough; we'll play tougher.

During the election, many liberals complained that President Bush was running the national debt up too high and the Communist Chinese government owned too much of that debt. A lot of fiscal conservatives agreed with them on that. After the election, the fiscal conservatives stuck by their principles and most liberals abandoned theirs as our Dear Leader raised the national debt in six months an amount that it took GWB eight years to reach, selling most of that new debt to the Communist Chinese government.

One of the strongest factors in our Dear Leader’s election was that he was not George W. Bush. The far left really hated our former President and demonized him at every opportunity.

Many of those who voted for our Dear Leader did so in hopes that he would immediately reverse every policy of GWB and that unicorns would start pooping Skittles ™. Ya, ya. Obviously reality wasn’t their strong point, or checking up on our Dear Leader’s history.

Well, reality has reared it’s ugly head and not only has Barack Hussein Obama not closed the Islamofascist detention center at Gitmo, he’s announced that he, like President George W. Bush, plans on holding some of them indefinitely. A policy that made BDS sufferers foam at the mouth when GWB announced it.

Facts like these, are causing some honest liberals to describe our Dear Leader as “Bush on Steroids” or “George W. Obama“, and they don’t mean it as a compliment.

It’s a newly declared holiday in Iraq, and a new day as US troops pull out of the cities. Except to the extent they’ll need to be running around the cities training and advising Iraqi troops, and conducting hits on terrorists in the cities and out of them. Which sounds like a wide-open door you could fit a lot of troops through.

Noticed last night in the AP coverage a couple of things were missing. “George Bush” and “Surge,” which are directly responsible for the improvements in Iraq … no more Saddam and markedly better behavior among Iraq’s ethnic and political divisions.

Four American soldiers were killed in Iraq yesterday, but if no one could find a good excuse to bring up George Bush, Obama also gets a pass in every article I’ve read. Not his war, not his problem.

None of that in this NYT story or this Washington Post one, either.

It’s almost like Saddam self-deposed, Iraqi democracy and security just kind of happened, and the pullout negotiated itself.

Obama's attempt at secrecy, continued torture and repression of speech must be stopped.

It is more than coincidence that an HBO film on free speech, Shouting Fire, dealing with the Bush attempt to stop free speech is on tonight.

Obama's campaign promise was for a transparent government, yet this past Friday, after 3pm, hoping to avoid the weekend news cycle, his administration announced major events he hoped the public would not see.

Denying the public information, rejecting the public's free speech "right to know" has become a pattern of this administration. Obama has become radical in his commitment to secrecy, not totally unlike the Bush administration.

Obama's Attorney General again delayed release of a 2004 CIA report which paved the way for detainee waterboarding, sleep deprivation and physical abuse. An extraordinary article by Luke Mitchell in this month's Harper's Magazine shows we are continuing that torture.

Remembering Panama

Twenty years ago

After the invasion, billions of dollars were removed from the Panamanian banking system by federal mandate, just in time to help bail out the failed S & L industry which collapsed under the weight of corruption and "deregulation."

This involved him in Bush's Iran-Contra program, a triangular trade which involved selling arms to Iran (for a private profit), importing cocaine into the US (for a private profit) and delivering arms to the Contras (for a private profit.)

Deemed a "narco-terrorist," Noriega was the main banker for the cocaine trade.

The "surgical strike" designed to remove CIA partner Manual Noriega from office, killed an estimated 10,000 civilians.

The Road to Iraq and Afghanistan (and maybe Iran and Pakistan) started with the invasion of Panama under the direction of George H.W. Bush, the father.

You couldn't make up this stuff if you tried.

With events unfolding in Iran, we watch and wish for freedom for their people. But in thinking over their experience with a fraudulent presidential election and contrasting it with our own election scandals, perhaps we should cconclude that we are the ones who need the freedom.

I applaud the courage of the Iranians to stand up to a corrupt government and demand the truth as to who won their election. Some of them have lost their lives for holding the conviction that a life without the freedom to seek the truth was worth risking.

What about us?

Though there were demonstrations against the Supreme Court decision in Bush v. Gore, which decided the 2000 election, and the 2001 inauguration of President George W. Bush, they were nowhere near the scale of what Iranian reformers have amassed in size or passion. For the most part, we took a number of questionable decisions, all of which favored Bush, on the chin without any semblance of demand for our right to fair elections:
