I'm afraid I'm having trouble forwarding links on my computer now, so Maria if you are still the computer wiz of your family just go to www.wikimapia.org, in the upper right you will see a search box just type in Hahn and then click on the first or top reference. Near the bottom of the screen you will see alot of little and not so little boxes each represents a different locations at Hahn just click on them. Some will have pictures others not, but you can zoom in on the locations to see it from a closer birds eye view.

Urban wind power inspired by ancient Persia

A new wind-power machine has been inspired by a centuries-old idea: Persian "wind catchers."

Windation Energy Systems, a Menlo Park, Calif.-based start-up, has developed a wind appliance that looks more or less like the modern heating and cooling equipment you see on flat corporate building rooftops.

There's a 8-by-8-foot frame around a 10-foot-high cylinder. Wind blows in the top and is directed to the bottom where the wind turns a turbine to make up to 5 kilowatts of electricity. A single unit wouldn't generate enough power for an entire office building but could offset a significant portion, the company says.

pet

measuring tape

scissors

grocery bag (for pattern)

1 or 2 towels

durable canvas (for bottom)

polyfill (about 20 oz)

*you can also use regular cotton fabric, fleece, flannel, whatever!

i like to use the towels cuz there snuggly and you can find some really great coordinating prints for cheap at the discount stores.i also like them because they are macine washable. you can just stuff the whole darn thing in the washer.

i have grouped the tutorial into 3 parts

onto the next part...

...we're almost there...

so there you have it...one cozy pooch!

This is similar to the previous footage they put on YouTube below in 2007, which I've posted at the very bottom of the page. I know they claim that it's not a hoax but it's almost too good to be true. This appears to be the same UFO but a little different. I think we need to give it another chance. I just got done mentioning to someone that we've seen so much in the way of CGI and hoaxes that we've become numb to something such as this and because of that, we wouldn't know a real UFO if it bit us in the be-hind. I've re-written some of his explanation below due to broken English. There is more than one date on this video and it's explained here below.

We have enlarged the video images of the footage and performed a detailed analysis and checked their pixels and went through the all of the footage frame by frame. After doing all the necessary analysis which went on for several weeks, we came to a definite conclusion, with no doubt, that this is 100% genuine footage!

I was reminded yesterday that the vast bulk of “wealth” created during the Greenspan/Bernanke bubble years accrued to the very top percentiles of population – with many in the OECD middle class and lower class either stagnating or getting poorer as they mired themselves in unsustainable debt. While opportunity and employment grew strongly in emerging countries, there too the elites gained disproportionately as income inequalities surged. The crash of global financial markets therefore will have disproportionate effect on the elites, impoverishing them to a far greater extent, although it will be felt throughout society as employment, pensions, investments and public services contract.

Once we hit bottom of this downturn, some years hence in all probability, we may experience a democratisation of wealth and opportunity like none seen since the end of World War II when education reforms and unionisation laid the groundwork for the rise of the American and OECD middle classes

Stocks drop for 6th session on recession fear

NEW YORK (Reuters) -Stocks fell for a sixth straight session on Wednesday, as a coordinated worldwide cut in interest rates failed to alleviate fears about a global recession.

It was a session of wild swings, with no clear direction determined until the final minutes. Wall Street's favorite measure of investor fear, the Chicago Board Options Exchange Volatility Index, hit a record intraday high.

The Nasdaq has lost 16.81 percent in the last six days -- its worst six-day percentage loss since April 2001.The Nasdaq has dropped 351.55 points in the last six days -- its worst six-day point loss since December 2000.

Bank of America's shares fell 7 percent to $22.10 after it was forced to price a $10 billion stock offering at below Tuesday's closing price.
