- 1/3 cup canola oil

- 1/6 cup brown sugar

1. Mix canola oil, brown sugar and apple cider vinegar together.

2. Add ramen noodles with seasoning into the dressing for 2 minutes.

Apple's iPhone 3G apparently created a summertime switch itch: 30 percent of all the smartphone's buyers bailed on their existing carriers in order to purchase the device, according to an NPD Group report released Monday.

AT&T has been the iPhone 3G's exclusive carrier in the U.S. since the smartphone was released in June.

According to the report, which covers June through August, 47 percent of those switching to AT&T to get the iPhone 3G came from Verizon Wireless, 24 percent from T-Mobile, and 19 percent from Sprint.

"While the original iPhone also helped win customers for AT&T, the faster network speeds of the iPhone 3G (have) proven more appealing to customers that already had access to a 3G network," Ross Rubin, NPD director of industry analysis, said in a statement.

By contrast, about 23 percent of consumers overall switched carriers from June through August.

I had been hearing for sometime from experts that one must soak the fruit for a few hours in water to get rid of all the chemicals before actually eating it. This is especially true for fruits such as apples and grapes which are sprayed with chemical fertilizers for a good healthy crop.

It actually is a 115 gram portable eye wear that simulates a movie screen that is more than one meter wide at a two meter distance.

The TV signal is tapped from the integrated DVB-T receiver. Carl Zeiss has already introduced the cinemizer for the iPod.

This device is already a cult object among Apple fans. Carl Zeiss highlights that the cinemizer will work all current iPod models except the iPod Shuffle.

Here, Current refers to all modes that were purchased since September 2007.

In 2000, digital music players were either big and clunky or small and useless with equally terrible user interfaces. Apple saw the opportunity and announced the release of the iPod, their first portable music player on October 23, 2001.

At first, the reactions were confused and hostile, critics lambasted the $400 price tag, the unconventional scroll wheel and the lack of Windows compatibility. IPhone Steals Lead Over Kindle

It's official: The iPhone is more popular than Amazon.com's Kindle. And not just in the obvious categories like listening to music, browsing the Web or the other applications where Kindle barely competes. Now, the iPhone is also muscling into Amazon's home turf: reading books.

Stanza, a book reading application offered in Apple's (nasdaq: AAPL - news - people ) iPhone App Store since July, has been downloaded more than 395,000 times and continues to be installed at an average rate of about 5,000 copies a day, according to Portland, Ore.-based Lexcycle, the three-person start-up that created the reading software.

By comparison, Citigroup estimates Amazon will sell around 380,000 Kindles in 2008. Forrester Research analyst James McQuivey expects Sony's (nyse: SNE - news - people ) Reader will sell only a fraction of that number. In other words, Apple may have inadvertently sold more e-readers than any other company in the nascent digital book market.

I think Mr. Arthur is a bit too quick to be interpreting Steve's algorithm at this point. I find that the program is genius in large part because while Steve Jobs and Apple™ know the tempo of every song to a frightening accuracy. Five seconds of silent thought will tell you the reasons Mr. Jobs will not fill in a BPM (beats per minute) column. To truly understand the tempo manipulation: you;d need to see the algorithm itself! So said, knowing the speeds of the songs I play on drums (it's the drums or the treadmill - I'm doing the exercise thing), I find the program to be almost wildly genius. What's wildly evil os that
1) Apple knows but will not divulge BPM;
2) Apple uses the tempo element of you collection on playlists made for you that are so good that when I play I do not even look at what is coming next as iy has all been so

Genius. It's a word that Guinness seems to have abandoned in its advertising. So Apple, which can spot a vacuum as well as the next big company intent on world domination, has been quick to pick it up.

The "Genius" feature in the latest version of iTunes is getting a lot of attention: you pick a track in your iTunes library, and after a bit of munching away – and talking to Apple's online servers at the iTunes Store – it will come up with a list of 25 or more tracks that it thinks "go with" the track you selected.

This feature is probably the most valuable piece of coding that any group of people has ever written. By my calculations it's worth about $8.4 billion.

clipper's remarks: It is simply silly to decry "citizen journalism" because one "citizen journalist" got the story wrong, intentionally or otherwise. Actually, the term "citizen journalism" is silly. It is a way for big media to differentiate themselves from the "citizens".

People say things on the street. People say things in their home, at work, on the train, and in email, Twitter and on their blogs. This is all information. The fact that it continues to be necessary to think about what you hear and run it through filters is no different for any information source.

I certainly would never take a CNN, or Fox or MSNBC news story as gospel. Would you?

Keep iTunes 8 from Starting Filenames with Track Numbers

By default, when you have iTunes set to automatically organize your music library, it saves the files in an /Artist/Album/Track # Song Title.mp3 format. But, if you don't want that track number stuck in the beginning of your music file names automatically, a quick preference change in iTunes 8 will remove it. Macworld explains that you can fire up Terminal, and type the following commands:

defaults write com.apple.iTunes create-filenames-with-disknumber -bool FALSE
defaults write com.apple.iTunes create-filenames-with-tracknumber -bool FALSE

Then, uncheck iTunes' "Keep iTunes Music Folder Organized" preference, apply, and then re-check that option. At that point iTunes 8 will rename all your music files sans track number prefix. Of course, a backup to your collection before letting iTunes do its thing is prudent, just in case the big rename goes awry. How do you name and organize your music?
