November 12, 2009 (by Horatio Algren) According to reports former boxer Mike Tyson was arrested after an airport scuffle.

Tyson was arrested after a scuffle with a photographer at the Los Angeles International Airport according to police. The incident occurred when the photographer attempted to take a picture of Tyson on Wednesday in the United Airlines terminal according to Sgt. Jim Holcomb.

In one reported version of the incident the photographer was said to have struck Tyson to get a reaction, and in another, the photographer stated that Tyson punched him in the face and tried to remove the film from the camera. Obviously, Los Angeles criminal defense attorneys want this case.

GRIFFIN, Ga. - Police say a pilot tried to hit officers with his plane at a small Georgia airport.

Griffin police investigator Bryan Clanton tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the 48-year-old Gryder was driving his car across the runway at Griffin-Spalding Airport. Officers tried to issue him tickets, but he boarded the small plane without signing.

A United Airlines pilot was arrested on suspicion of being drunk on board a plane at Heathrow Airport on Monday, a Scotland Yard spokesman has said.

The plane's departure to Chicago was "imminent", with 124 passengers and 11 crew members on board, when the arrest took place, a Heathrow spokesman said.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "At 12.30pm on 9 November we attended a flight at Heathrow Airport and arrested a 51-year-old man.

Police are awaiting the outcome of further tests on the man.

"He was reported to police by United Airlines staff, said a BAA Heathrow spokesman.

A United Airlines spokeswoman said: "Safety is our highest priority and the pilot has been removed from service while we are cooperating with authorities and conducting a full investigation.

"United Airlines' alcohol policy is amongst the strictest in the industry and we have no tolerance for violation of this well-established policy."

An angry aide to Rep. Ron Paul, an iPhone and $4,700 in cash have forced the Transportation Security Administration to quietly issue two new rules telling its airport screeners they can only conduct searches related to airplane safety.

In response, the American Civil Liberties Union is dropping its lawsuit on behalf of Steve Bierfeldt, the man who was detained in March and who recorded the confrontation on his iPhone as TSA and local police officers spent half an hour demanding answers as to why he was carrying the money through Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.

The new rules, issuedin September and October, tell officers “screening may not be conducted to detect evidence of crimes unrelated to transportation security” and that large amounts of cash don’t qualify as suspicious for purposes of safety.

TSA had earlier defended the search, though it had criticized officers’ abusive behavior.

There is an interesting piece by Charles Krauthammer in today's Washington Post, in which he claims Tuesday's results blow the theory that the 2008 presidential election signaled the creation of a grand new ideological alignment.

This theory has been promulgated by a number of Democratic strategists who have peppered Borders, cafes and airport waiting areas with literature that proclaims an era of dominance akin to that initiated by FDR's handsome victory in 1932. Mouse grounds second flight

A mouse is believed to be responsible for two transatlantic flights being cancelled in less than a month.

Pest control experts are to overhaul the Delta Air Lines Boeing 767 after the most recent incident, reports the Daily Telegraph.

A flight from New York to Heathrow was delayed after the mouse was spotted in the cabin and passengers were transferred to another plane.

The 147 passengers on the Boeing 767 were told that the mouse's presence meant that the plane had to be evacuated.

They continued on to London in another jet after airport officials told them that a mouse could create a safety hazard by crewing through electrical wire and hydraulic lines.

Delta confirmed that the rodent alert occurred on the same plane that was evacuated less than three weeks ago after a mouse was spotted just before it took off on the same New York to London journey.

The airline said it was "working with pest control experts in case remedial action is needed".

A manager at a Massachusetts retail store claims he was unjustly fired after he told a colleague he thought her impending marriage to another woman was wrong.

Peter Vidala, 24, told FoxNews.com he was terminated in August from his position as second deputy manager at a Brookstone store at Boston's Logan Airport after a conversation he had with a manager from another Brookstone store who was visiting the location.
