For those who say that my remarks are fundamentally racist, I say that these are events that have happened, and when I say to my younger relatives that I fear for the future of this once Great Island Nation, they too cannot see what I fear is happening around us. Whilst politicians blindly walk into a hostile future, there is a total reluctance to listen to those who have already been through these events. If you want a more graphic example just look at the Armed Services in Iraq and Afghanistan being sacrificed on the altar of political vanity by a few political egos.

The Bulawayo Chronicle reported on Saturday February 12 1983 that Sydney Sekeremayi, Minister of State (Defence) in the Prime Minister's Office, had said that 5 Brigade was going to operate in Matabeleland for a long time. The headline was "Five Brigade here to stay".

Events chronicled were far, far worse than I could ever have imagined. It seemed that state armed forces -- whether only 5 Brigade or others too -- had gone berserk in an orgy of violence against defenceless civilians.

Picture it. A series of pools anchored out in the middle of Berlin's Spree river. Sounds hot? Well its warm actually, a comfortable 24 degrees celsius for one in particular. The other pool is freezing cold and punters are encouraged to experience the adrenalin rush of jumping from the extreme heat to the cold. The ex river cargo container is 32.5 meters long by 8.2 meters wide and two meters deep. Surrounding areas include a sandy deck and bar area, a dance floor as well as a spa which is scheduled to ward off the winter chill.
