Then they have a chance to use the toilets, before heading off the first classes of the day.

Kampang is proud of its toilets. Spotless, and surrounded by flowering tropical plants, they have won national awards for cleanliness.

But there is something else about them too. Between the girls' toilet and the boys', there is one signposted with a half-man, half-woman figure in blue and red.

This is the transsexual toilet, and outside, in front of the mirrors, some decidedly girly-looking teenage boys preen their hair and apply face cream.

The headteacher, Sitisak Sumontha, estimates that in any year between 10% and 20% of his boys consider themselves to be transgender - boys who would rather be girls.

Vichai Saengsakul, 15, agrees.

WASHINGTON - The bimonthly US international affairs journal Foreign Policy has just published a survey of the world’s top 20 public intellectuals and the first 10 are all Muslims.

Fethullah Gülen, who heads a network of schools and media that is probably the world’s largest moderate Muslim movement, came first.

Other Muslim religious personalities made the top 10 — weekly preacher on al-Jazeera satellite television Youssef al-Qaradawi (3rd), popular Egyptian television preacher Amr Khaled (6th), Iranian reformist theologian Abdolkarim Soroush (7th), and Swiss-born scholar Tariq Ramadan (8th.

Second was Muhammad Yunus, the Bangladeshi economist who won the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for the microcredit project run by his Grameen Bank.

Several top-tenners besides Yunus made the list for their secular work.

<clipSource>http://www.topix.net/world/philippines/2008/06/survey-finds-world-s-top-10-intellectuals-are-muslims</clipSource>

Kristol: Bush Might Bomb Iran If He 'Thinks Obama's Going To Win'

clipped by: xpersianx
clipper's remarks: YEs , he is crazy enough to start the 3rd. world war for such a nonsense reason !

Clip Source: www.huffingtonpost.com

On Fox News Sunday this morning, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol said
that President Bush is more likely to attack Iran if he believes Sen. Barack
Obama (D-IL) is going to be elected.

However, "if the president thought John McCain was going to be the next
president, he would think it more appropriate to let the next president make
that decision than do it on his way out," Kristol said, reinforcing the fact
that McCain is offering a third Bush term on Iran.

"I do wonder with Senator Obama, if President Bush thinks Senator Obama's
going to win, does he somehow think -- does he worry that Obama won't follow
through on that policy," Kristol added. Host Chris Wallace then asked if Kristol
was suggesting that Bush might "launch a military strike" before or after the
election.
