The education system is biased towards linguistic, thinking, and logical thinking to a lesser degree. People with strengths in other fields, could be taught in a way more suited to their talents

Howard Gardner of Harvard has identified seven distinct intelligences. This theory has emerged from recent cognitive research and "documents the extent to which students possess different kinds of minds and therefore learn, remember, perform, and understand in different ways," according to Gardner (1991)

Visual-Spatial - think in terms of physical space, as do architects and sailors.

Bodily-kinesthetic - use the body effectively, like a dancer or a surgeon.

Musical - show sensitivity to rhythm and sound. They love music, but they are also sensitive to sounds in their environments

Interpersonal - understanding, interacting with others. These students learn through interaction.

Intrapersonal - understanding one's own interests, goals. These learners tend to shy away from others.

Linguistic - using words effectively. These learners have highly developed auditory skills and often think in words.

Logical -Mathematical - reasoning, calculating. Think conceptually, abstractly

How to Write Good

Always avoid alliteration.

Prepositions are not words to end sentences with.

Avoid cliches like the plague—they're old hat.

Eschew ampersands & abbreviations, etc.

Parenthetical remarks (however relevant) are unnecessary.

Parenthetical words however must be enclosed in commas.

It is wrong to ever split an infinitive.

One should never generalize.

Don't be redundant; don't use more words than necessary; it's highly superfluous.

It behooves you to avoid archaic expressions.

Exaggeration is a billion times worse than understatement.

Analogies in writing are like feathers on a snake.

Don't use commas, that, are not, necessary.

Never use a big word when a diminutive alternative would suffice.

Subject and verb always has to agree.

Be more or less specific.

Use youre spell chekker to avoid mispeling and to catch typograhpical errers.

Don't never use no double negatives.

Poofread carefully to see if you any words out.

Eschew obfuscation.

Don't indulge in sesquipedalian lexicological constructions.

Writing carefully, dangling participles must be avoided.

Avoid trendy locutions that sound flaky.

Take the bull by the hand and avoid mixing metaphors.

If you reread your work, you can find on rereading a great deal of repetition can be by rereading and editing.

For example the people who are dishonest, who have trained themselves, to maintain eye contact, and so inspire unfounded confidence. This tactic can be defeated sometimes by remembering the principle, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
I thought it was interesting that eyes up right was visualizing an image, while up left was remembering a sound. Sounds reasonable the way the brain is divided right/left, but I wonder if it is the same for left handers. Or somebody that is ambidextrous

Constructive Criticism:

Provides feedback that enhances job results
Leads to ongoing personal and professional development
Reduces stress and creates psychological security
Helps improve interpersonal relationships
Helps develop the ideal organizational climate

Golden Rules of Giving Criticism:

Give criticism in private.
Do not sound threatening.
Keep the criticism balanced.
Focus on the problem, not on the person's personality.
Don't overstate the problem by using words such as "always," "never" or "worst."
Give criticism soon after the event.
Pose questions that let the person do the work for you.
Stick to one subject. Don't string together criticisms at one sitting.
Don't remind people of previous instances that were resolved.
Use the "I" mode.

It birthed the web as we know it. But tomorrow, February 1, marks the demise of Netscape Navigator, the first commercial web browser.

Navigator will continue to function should you happen to have a recent copy stashed away. But American Online, which has been Netscape’s guardian during its long, downward slide in popularity, will no longer support the browser and will stop releasing updates. Support for all versions of the software will be off-loaded to the Netscape community forum. Netscape.com will continue to live on as a web portal.

How did it come to this? In two words, Internet Explorer.

When Netscape arrived back in 1994, the screeching wail of the dial-up modem was not yet a household sound. But the browser changed that and ignited the growth of the internet by making it easy for anyone to use.
