The new Reyes generation — soon to meet and join up with three guitar-playing brothers from the Baliardo family — began creating more pop-oriented songs. They played at roma parties and at street corners until they got their chance to record under the group's new name, Gipsy Kings.

Sharp-eyed individuals might have noted that all the left-handed members of the group play guitars strung upside-down; this is usually as a result of the individuals' not having their own guitars when growing-up. Borrowing and playing a right-hander's the wrong way up was the only way to learn.

Clip Source: en.wikipedia.org

Gipsy Kings

Gipsy Kings are a group from Arles and Montpellier (specifically from a cité outside of Montpellier called Phobos) in France. Explanation: This moon is doomed. Mars, the red planet named for the Roman god of war, has two tiny moons, Phobos and Deimos, whose names are derived from the Greek for Fear and Panic. These martian moons may well be captured asteroids originating in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter or perhaps from even more distant reaches of the Solar System. The larger moon, Phobos, is indeed seen to be a cratered, asteroid-like object in this stunning color image from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, recorded at a resolution of about seven meters per pixel. But Phobos orbits so close to Mars - about 5,800 kilometers above the surface compared to 400,000 kilometers for our Moon - that gravitational tidal forces are dragging it down. In 100 million years or so Phobos will likely be shattered by stress caused by the relentless tidal forces, the debris forming a decaying ring around Mars.

Tags: phobos, mars, deathspiral, ring, 100million years

<clipSource>http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0804/phobos2_hirise_big.jpg</clipSource>

Stickney Crater

clipped by: amgumen

Clip Source: apod.nasa.gov

<img src="http://clipmarks.com/image_cache/amgumen/512/E78083A4-A711-4C42-A93D-605EF5345F18.jpg" alt="See Explanation. Stickney Crater, the largest crater on the martian moon Phobos,
is named for
Chloe
Angeline Stickney Hall,
mathematician and wife of astronomer Asaph Hall.

Asaph Hall discovered both the
Red Planet's moons in 1877.

Over 9 kilometers across, Stickney is nearly half the
diameter
of Phobos itself, so large that the
impact that blasted out the crater likely came close
to shattering the tiny moon.

This stunning,
enhanced-color image of Stickney and surroundings
was recorded by the HiRISE camera onboard the
Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter as it passed within some
six thousand kilometers
of Phobos last month.

Even though the surface gravity of
asteroid-like Phobos
is less than 1/1000th Earth's gravity, streaks suggest loose
material has slid down inside the crater walls over time.

Light bluish regions near the crater's rim could indicate
a relatively freshly exposed surface.

The origin of the
curious grooves along the surface is
mysterious

Tags: space

<clipSource>http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap080410.html</clipSource>

Phobos in 3D (grab those glasses!)

clipped by: mariana3
clipper's remarks: An anaglyph of Mars' moon Phobos.

Clip Source: www.spaceweather.com

Tags: phobos, astronomy, mars, out of this world, solarsystem, science

<clipSource>http://www.spaceweather.com/swpod2008/10apr08/redblue1024.jpg?PHPSESSID=78kcvauva2aifjlg7s8d60uuq2</clipSource>

3D Moon of Mars - New pictures of Phobos

clipped by: invictus

Clip Source: spaceweather.com

3D MOON OF MARS:

Glasses on? Behold.

The 2D view is nearly as good:

Long ago, something struck Phobos and almost shattered the tiny
moon. The scar of that impact, 9km-wide Stickney crater, is located
at the top of the image. Color filters in MRO's camera reveal a
              blue
splash of material around Stickney's rim. What is it? No one
knows. Equally striking are Phobos' many long grooves and crater
chains. Although these seem to radiate from Stickney, recent studies
show that most are not related to the crater. Instead they
come from the planet below; when asteroids hit Mars, debris flies
up and scores Phobos. The grooves seem to emerge from Stickney only
              because the crater faces Mars.

Tags: mars, phobos, moon, 3d image, nasa, space

<clipSource>http://spaceweather.com/</clipSource>

Stickney Crater

clipped by: tismesara
clipper's remarks: the largest crater on the martian moon Phobos

Clip Source: antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov

<img src="http://clipmarks.com/image_cache/tismesara/512/0E050CB5-B755-467A-BA83-1C24FCD02B5F.jpg" alt="See Explanation. It comes from the Greek word kolobathristes meaning one that goes on stilts and phobos meaning fear (the Greeks didn’t have a word for clown - the closest thing was those on stilts, i.e. circus performers).

Clown phobia is quite common in small children, but in some, the fear persists well into adulthood. I’ve read that up to 1 in every 7 people have it to some degree

it can be quite a dramatic and overpowering fear in adults. Like this lady who is scared to death of clowns

Most phobia started in childhood, but in some, fear of clown is sparked by reading about one

or watching one

Perhaps some clowns are truly evil. Like serial killer John Wayne Gacy [wiki] aka The Killer Clown.

People are apt to overanalyze coulrophobia, though they can come up with interesting reasons. Kathryn Cillick at Phobialist came up with this explanation:

<clipSource>http://www.neatorama.com/2008/01/13/coulrophobia-fear-of-clown/</clipSource>

D Installer

clipped by: ylodi

Clip Source: dsource.org

Welcome to D Installer ¶

This is a package to install DMD, DMD with DSSS, DMD with Tango only and DSSS, and the option to install from preloaded Tango(with included DMD binaray) and DSSS. Currently it is at version 1.002 with all the above supported. Soon Mingw and GDC will be supported. Also Tango and Phobos will soon be able to be installed alongside each other. Custom install support along with predownloading DSSS packages and installing them from D Installer will be supported. If you have any questions you can contact me on the forums. The latest version is available from DInstall:http://www.lester-martin.co.nr/projects. When possible I will add the source to this project to dsource. I will also allow downloading it from dsource as soon as possible.
