Children develop along four streams: intellectual, physical, emotional (psychological) and social. In classrooms, the smartest kids tend to be left out of more activities by other children than they are included in. They are "odd," they are the geeks, they are social outsiders. In other words, they do not develop socially as well as they may develop intellectually or even physically where opportunities may exist for more progress.

Adults tend to believe that intelligent kids can deal with anything because they are intellectually superior. This inevitably includes situations where the intelligent kids have neither knowledge nor skills to support their experience. They go through the tough times alone. Adults don't understand that they need help and other kids don't want to associate with kids the social leaders say are outsiders.

I believe one of the odd things about clipmarks is that it is very misunderstood by the general web population. Unfortunately, I think that is mostly a product of me being unable to properly explain it. So, when i see a description that so totally nails it, i get such a rush of excitement.

Clipmarks is like a news 'paper', that is written by the readers. Better than being told what the news is. It is like an organic search engine, powered by imagination, curiosity, and the need for awareness, rather than an algorithm. It is amazing how interesting someone can become, when we find they agree with us. Other clips can make clear some of the things, (facts particularly). that we have believed in error. With clear references.
Then there are hundreds of clips that can give your mind a break or a laugh. If you are going to see the world the more angles the better.

It reminds me of Vietnam, the war which George Bush watched from the skies over Texas – which may account for why he this week mixed up the end of the Vietnam war with the genocide in a different country called Cambodia, whose population was eventually rescued by the same Vietnamese whom Mr Bush's more courageous colleagues had been fighting all along.

I am increasingly troubled at the inconsistencies in the official narrative of 9/11.

It's not just the obvious non sequiturs: where are the aircraft parts (engines, etc) from the attack on the Pentagon? Why have the officials involved in the United 93 flight (which crashed in Pennsylvania) been muzzled?

Why did flight 93's debris spread over miles when it was supposed to have crashed in one piece in a field?

I am talking about scientific issues.

If it is true

that kerosene burns at 820C under optimum conditions, how come the steel beams of the twin towers –

Their appearance was normal in all other areas. They spoke an unrecognized language and refused to eat anything other than pitch from bean pods. Eventually their skin lost its green color. You may have run the same route 50 times but you find yourself seeing something different each time. I ran by a tree than had grown over a fence and it got me to thinking, there are probably some cool picture of things “swallowed” by trees.

When he got it back, he discovered a GPS tracking device had been installed behind a panel. He put a SIM card from the device into his mobile phone, and found it was programmed to text a police detective's mobile with reports on his location. Williams then put the tracking device up for sale online, noting "No police to bid on this." Williams has not been charged in any crime. Tiny brain no obstacle to French civil servant

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A man with an unusually tiny brain managed to live an entirely normal life despite his condition, caused by a fluid buildup in his skull, French researchers reported on Thursday.

Scans of the 44-year-old man's brain showed that a huge fluid-filled chamber called a ventricle took up most of the room in his skull, leaving little more than a thin sheet of actual brain tissue.

Friday the 13th is not our lucky day

At around 9pm EST friday night we began to notice odd behavior on our servers. Shortly thereafter, our web site went down. It quickly became clear to us that this was a Denial of Service attack…meaning that someone was intentionally trying to take down the site. We have a very robust back-end, so we knew this had to be some massive attack to have this kind of affect. Well, it turns out that it was a distributed attack coming from many thousands of computers around the world that were all attacking the site simultaneously. Thankfully, we were able to isolate the source and begin to choke it off. This got the site back up and running.

I want to apologize to anyone who was inconvenienced by this. We don’t yet know who did this or why, but hopefully it is behind us.
