CANBERRA (Reuters) - An Australian holiday resort will hold a month-long, nude "anything goes" party to combat an expected economic downturn, media reports said on Thursday.

"Tough economic times call for stiff measures,"

"It will be a hedonism resort, where anything goes for a month. It doesn't take rocket science to work out what it means," Fox said, naming March as the risque party month.

The controversial "clothes optional" resort made headlines three years ago when police were called to end partner-swapping parties after a swathe of public complaints.

"You've got to wonder what sort of people go and why. Where is the moral code of behavior and how do you stop jealousies and fights?"

But local regional Mayor Val Schier said she was not opposed to the event as long as no laws were broken.

Fox said his resort was almost fully booked for the month-long rainforest party.

Controversial Sculptor Exhibits Oprah Sarcophagus

CHICAGO—Sculptor Daniel Edwards unveiled a half-scale model of his Oprah Sarcophagus at Gardenfresh Gallery in Chicago this week, courtesy of New York's Leo Kesting gallery. The gilded bronze coffin lid bears a nude full-figure likeness of the media mogul with vertical stripes and is being exhibited alongside the artist's Oprah Burial Mask.

Edwards says the sarcophagus was inspired by Oprah's account of mourning the death of her golden retriever, and he hopes it will act as a starting point for her to engage with recently retired baby boomers about considering their own funerals. "The Oprah Sarcophagus is the ideal visual aid for educating boomers about living wills, casket choices, and memorial service arrangements," said Leo Kesting co-director John Leo.

A mysterious blonde paid a visit to a petrol station shop in the small eastern German town

of Doemitz on Sunday -wearing nothing but a pair of golden stilettos and a thin gold bracelet.

The tall, slender woman strolled into the shop in the town of Doemitz on the warm afternoon and bought cigarettes, petrol station employee Ines Swoboda told Reuters on Monday.

"I wasn't surprised because she's come in naked before -- she's a very nice woman," Swoboda said, adding none of the other customers were bothered. The woman could have faced charges of creating a public disturbance if anyone had complained.

A quick-witted customer did, however, snap pictures of the woman believed to be about 30 years old as she walked back to a waiting Ferrari and climbed into the passenger seat. Several of those photos appeared in the German media on Monday.

A vicar claims a potato got stuck up his bottom after he fell on to the vegetable while hanging curtains in the nude.

The clergyman, in his 50s, told medical staff at Sheffield's Northern General Hospital that the accident was definitely not due to a sex game.

He had to undergo surgery to extract the spud from his backside, according to The Sun.

A&E nurse Trudi Watson told the paper: "He explained to me, quite sincerely, he had been hanging curtains naked in he kitchen when he fell backwards on to the kitchen table and on to a potato.

"But it's not for me to question his story."

She went on to reveal other objects removed from people's derriére, including a cucumber, a Russian doll and a carnation.

clipper's remarks: As a Flickr member I can opt out of seeing pictures by people who post nude or pornigraphic pictures...but I wonder, who else is looking at them? Should I worry that my granddaughter who is 13 years old may mosey on into one of these porn sites on what I thought was mostly used for sharing family photos, like new babies, picnics in the park and pictures you took during vacation....I also know that some pictures of children are being stolen and used in ads or blogs....I found one of my pictures of my 3 day old grandson on a wordpress.org blog where they talk about having cancer.

You can imagine my shock, when I saw his picture displayed (he was yawning and if you didn't know it, he looked more like he was crying in pain)....Evidently the author was trying to lure readers who want to see someone (in this case babies)
suffering and in pain...I immediately set the picture to private...when I last checked the image was gone, but my name over it is still there, with a link to my Flickr

Once inside Caliente Resorts and Spa, "...they take off their clothes and the only time they put their clothes back on is to go the grocery store. You can do just about anything at Caliente you want," explained the resort's spokeswoman, Angye Fox.

As Election Day rapidly approaches, there is one thing people who live clothing-free realize they can't do in the buff -- vote.

Now Caliente has asked the Pasco County supervisor of elections to establish a polling place at the resort.

Elections supervisor Brian Corley hasn't ruled out the request but adds a new polling place is established "on need and population."

Corley said the nude polling place request wouldn't be considered until 2010 at the earliest. He added that the full county commission must approve adding or changing precinct locations.

Nudibranchs belong to sea slugs. As all other gastropods, they are slow moving bottom dwellers. They have soft bodies and most of them lack an external protective shell. Their secondary gills are exposed outside, as reflected by their neo-latin/greek name "nudibranch" meaning "nude/naked gills". Some nudibranchs have numerous body projections (called "cerata") increasing the overall body surface and enhancing breathing. Nudibranchs carry a pair of horn-like cephalic tentacles or "rhinophores" at the front, that are used primarily as chemosensory organs (sensing chemicals). To protect themselves from predators many developed toxic or bad tasting glands in the skin, and their bright colors warn predators of their horrible taste.
