clipper's remarks: If you think they do here is why you are mistaken. But of course your local and MSM news parrot whatever the CDC says while this is a multi-million dollar industry that cannot prevent you from getting the flu. The logic in this article is plain enough.

Notice the emotionally charged, fear-mongering messages and ads used to press people into lining up, including many messages that say "they could save your life, or the life of your children or loved one". What absolute hype that plays on fear, when the shot cannot prevent getting the flu!

To see how profitable an industry this is read about Donald Rumsfeld and Tamiflu.

People feel safer with their placebo-type flu shot that cannot and will not prevent them from contracting the flu. The statements made by government and media on the subject are irresponsible hype and absolutely misleading about its effectiveness.

The question; Is flu shot vaccination really useful? Well, let's take a quick look from the source, in this case is the Influenza virus that cause flu in the first place. There are currently 2 types of Influenza viruses, Type A & Type B.

influenza viruses are constantly changing through a process called "antigenic drift". This is a continuous & spontaneous mutations process in the viral RNA.

a host infected with influenza virus develops antibody against that virus; as the virus changes, the "first" antibody no longer recognizes the "newer" virus and reinfection can occur.

So, what that really mean is flu shot cannot really prevent you from getting a flu because it depends what type of viruses you are infected with. In addition, the Influenza viruses changes very rapidly which makes the vaccination to be somewhat obsolete.

In fact, Sarah Palin does not think Barack Obama is a terrorist: She worries he doesn’t appreciate the greatness that is America, or he’d have better friends.

By late in the evening Olbermann had left no candidate’s mortality alone, saying that during the debate, McCain “did not look like a well man.”

If you watched Keith Olbermann’s Countdown earlier in the evening, you would believe that John McCain and Sarah Palin want you to believe that Barack Obama is a terrorist, by virtue of the fact Palin has been bringing up Obama’s association with Weatherman William Ayers. But you also would not be crazy if you walked away believing that John McCain wants to kill Barack Obama — or, at least, wouldn’t mind if someone did it on his behalf.

Underscoring how ridiculous he thought it as a campaign issue, Olbermann asked, “Shouldn’t [McCain] be refusing to share the stage with [Obama]?” He wanted to know if McCain should really be turning Obama in to law-enforcement authorities. That is, after all, what you do with a terrorist.

we don't know if the differences between AP-CfK's Sept. 5-10 and Sept. 27-30 results were created deliberately, but the results sure look suspicious

The more recent poll shows Obama with a 7-point lead among likely voters, both with and without leaners; the earlier poll showed McCain with a 5-point lead with leaners, and 4 points without.

Almost all of this 12-point swing (11 points with leaners) is more than likely almost completely due to major differences between the two polls' samples:

"Somehow," the sample make-up changed from 33-31 Democrat to 40-29 Democrat from the earlier to the latter poll -- a shift of nine points.

After correcting for differences in the samples, almost all of Obama's double-digit pickup disappears, leaving McCain with four- and three-point leads without and with leaners, respectively.

Either AP isn't supervising its GfK cooks properly, or it's directing them to poison discussions of presidential race

In other words get ready for a second hard sell since the first bailout bill was rejected (due to pressure from average citizens). How the minority party in the house is responsible for the failure of a bill pushed by the majority even though quite a few of the minority voted for the bill. Pelosi couldn't (or more likely, wouldn't) reign in her own troops in support of the bill, so how is it the republicans are to blame?

Nearly 100 Democrats in the House of Representatives voted against the financial bailout bill yesterday. Fifteen Democrats in California from the home state of the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, even voted against the bill.

Thirteen Democrats on the House Financial Services Committee voted against the bill, too! And seven Democrats on the Homeland Security Committee voted against the bill, including its chairman!

Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., one of the main congressional negotiators, and chairman of the House Financial Services Committee failed to get his democratic team on his own banking committee on board with the bill!. Now that's telling.

Yet, all we hear the Democrats on TV do is to spew their partisan venom against the Republicans.

John McCain got involved in the bailout negotiations after Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson told Sen. Lindsey Graham yesterday that the bailout plan would fail unless McCain came in and brought balky Republicans aboard. That's what Bob Schieffer reported on this morning's Early Show. Schieffer's account stands in stark contrast with the allegation by Dems like Barney Frank and their MSM cohorts that McCain's moves of yesterday were nothing more than a political "stunt."

Bob Owens discovered this and also reported that these rumors began at an obscure liberal blog written by a man in LA after Sarah Palin was chosen as the Republican VP candidate.

Hundreds of Economists Urge Congress Not to Rush on Rescue Plan

Sept. 25 (Bloomberg) -- More than 150 prominent U.S. economists, including three Nobel Prize winners, urged Congress to hold off on passing a $700 billion financial market rescue plan until it can be studied more closely.

In a letter yesterday to congressional leaders, 166 academic economists said they oppose Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson's plan because it's a ``subsidy'' for business, it's ambiguous and it may have adverse market consequences in the long term. They also expressed alarm at the haste of lawmakers and the Bush administration to pass legislation.

``It doesn't seem to me that a lot decisions that we're going to have to live with for a long time have to be made by Friday,'' said Robert Lucas, a University of Chicago economist and 1995 Nobel Prize winner who signed the letter. ``The situation may get urgent, but it's not urgent right now. Right now it's a financial sector problem.''
