Use IP address - This is the simplest way to bypass domain name based access restrictions. Instead of the domain name such as www.webstuffscan.com use the direct IP address. To find the IP address use one of the free host to IP online conversion tools such as this.

2. Use Google cache - If you are not bothered whether the content is latest on a site, Google cache is best. Do a Google search for the site and then click on the cached link below the search results.

3. Use an Anonymizer - In this method you access a third party site which in turn routes your request to the required server. Some services provide URL encryption also. The problem is that most of these servers are no longer free. Do a google search for the latest list as this is a very dynamic area Following are some services which still works(free!),

Proxify - Hides original URL and provides an array of access of options. The is one of the best free servers.
Block Stop - New guy in the town!
Anonymouse - This works, but URL is visible and hence may be blocked by the filtering software.

4. Use Online Translation Tools - In this method, we can use the translation service as a web proxy. Following are the best links I know of. Again Google is your best friend for more resources.

Altavista Babel fish - In the above replace www.webstuffscan.com with the site you want. You can also visit Babel fish site.
Google Translate - Similar to Babel fish.

5. Use Google Mobile search - Google mobile search works, but output may not be optimal. This is very similar to using a Web proxy.

6. Use a public Proxy server - There are many free proxy servers out in the Web. Note that in order to use these you have to change internet connection settings in Internet Explorer or whatever browser you use. This is one such list.

7. Get web pages via email - This is useful if you need a single Web page. Obviously accessing large files is not possible. Given below are some examples.

Tags: web, internet, bloked, websites, technology, tips

<clipSource>http://www.webstuffscan.com/2006/11/23/how-to-access-blocked-websites-top-10/</clipSource>

Google my way

clipped by: juliapatriciaroy
clipper's remarks: This is slick-- customize your google page to say whatever you want. Rupert Murdoch, chairman and chief executive of News Corporation, is

Mr Murdoch, who has been vocal with his negative views of Google and its
effect on the newspaper industry, said his stable of newspapers, which
include The Times and The Sun, could be taken off Google’s
search index when his plan to implement paywalls comes into effect.

It’s my to-do list of choice for its simplicity, portability, and (of course) integration with Gmail. If you’re a fan of Google Chrome, you can also easily add Tasks as an application directly on your desktop.

Enable Gmail Tasks

First things first, if you have not already enabled Tasks in Gmail, it’s time to do so. Within Gmail, go to Settings –> Labs. Scroll down until you find Tasks, and switch it to Enable.

You will now find a Tasks link near your Contacts. This is all fine and dandy, but now let’s see how you can quickly make it a stand-alone application.

Integration with Google Chrome

Here’s how to do it: Launch Chrome and go to https://mail.google.com/tasks/ig. If it asks for a username and password, check the box to remember it. You should now see a full-browser version of your Tasks, but we’re not finished yet!

Go to the Page Dropdown Menu and click Create application shortcuts.

A Google Gears window will spawn.

That’s it!

More about

Tags: gmail task, google chrome

<clipSource>http://www.tipsfor.us/2009/02/18/get-gmail-tasks-on-your-desktop-with-google-chrome/</clipSource>

Come get your google wave invitation now!

clipped by: ewanani
clipper's remarks: Google has just released wave and we have invitations to spare, come get some while you still can!

Clip Source: zonfar.emenace.com

As you know there are a lot of people waiting for an invitation from Google Wave.

Tags: google, wave, invitation, invite, adwords, adsense, de mo

<clipSource>http://zonfar.emenace.com/wave/</clipSource>

My Take on Google Wave

clipped by: ncoutlander
clipper's remarks: Let me know if you are on Wave and if not let me know if you are interested.

If I could describe Google Wave in 2 words I would use the words "Live EMail" . Because basically that is what it is. The beauty of a "live email" is that it eliminates a lot of unnecessary emails you deal with now. Those you communicate with on wave will get your messages instantly. They can even reply live when you are typing. Contacts can even edit what you write. From the business perspective you will be able to collaborate and share information on "real time on projects". People will be able to have access to instant video conferencing to aide in their planning. The wave you help create can be for fun, business or even help solve world problems. The ability to talk live to other nationalities without knowing their language will indeed be priceless. Wave has a great future and will bring the world and it's people a little closer.

Tags: google wave, google wave invite

<clipSource>http://ncoutlander1.blogspot.com/2009/10/my-take-on.html</clipSource>

How to get a Google Wave Invite

clipped by: merrie
clipper's remarks: Invites are being given out in small batches- if someone says they have 1,000 invites, beware!

Tips & Warnings

* If you get an invitation and go to sign up, and are presented with anything that tries to sell you something, back away as it's probably a scam.
* Be careful! As with any big thing, spammers and scammers are trying to take advantage. If in your quest for Google Wave you're asked to scan for viruses or provide financial information, turn around- you're being scammed.

6

Search eBay for an invitation. A few Google Wave invite owners are selling on the site. online directories but doesn't actually exist, has puzzled internet experts.

The town appears on Google Maps in the middle of fields close to the M58
 motorway, just south of Ormskirk.

Its 'presence' means that online businesses that use data from the software
have detected it and automatically treated it as a real town in the L39
 postcode area.
