Despite Ms. Boxer’s cries of alarm, even Arctic temperatures have been relatively stable since the 1970s, according to Mr. Taylor.

Greenland just had its two coldest decades since the 1910s, and “recent temperature readings indicate the cold spell is continuing,” Mr. Taylor says. While Greenland is losing ice at lower elevations, it’s gaining ice inland, more than offsetting the losses.

Tags: heartland institute, environment, james taylor

<clipSource>http://www.vvdailypress.com/opinion/sen-15429-barbara-boxer.html</clipSource>

OrlVegetarian Restaurants Examiner - A Vegetarian Diet: Could it be the Answer to our Environmental

clipped by: heartlandinstitute
clipper's remarks: Examiner.com/Internet/Mention

Clip Source: www.examiner.com

A Vegetarian Diet: Could it be the Answer to our Environmental Problems

Opposition is abundant when it comes to the subject of vegetarianism as a way to fight global warming. There are those organizations which primarily oppose the notion of global warming, calling it climate alarmism and claiming that the earth’s climate is in constant fluctuation. Organizations such as the Heartland Institute support what they call a common-sense approach towards environmental issues. Furthermore, they state that the issue of global warming is not urgent and that climate change reports are being sensationalized by the media. They don’t even try to measure the massive reduction in our economic output as energy costs double and triple with scarcity.

Tags: dennis avery, environment

<clipSource>http://www.cgfi.org/2009/11/03/what%e2%80%99s-the-real-cost-of-global-warming-taxes-by-dennis-t-avery/</clipSource>

Top 10 GOP Moderate Moments (via Rush)

clipped by: jatfla
clipper's remarks: As I was in the car I switched him on and he was just beginning his countdown.

Yes. Either the 'moderates' form their own party or the true conservatives must. I'm tired of voting for the lesser of the 2 evils and violating my true convictions. While these 'moderate' Republicans may be very nice people with good intentions...few actually shared my values. And he's right! The #1 'moderate' revealed so much about himself.

Clip Source: www.rushlimbaugh.com

Top Ten GOP Moderate Moments

RUSH: I'd like to share with you what I think,

are -- and it was tough to limit this to ten -- the Top Ten Republican Moderate Moments.

Number ten: Newt Gingrich does a PSA on global warming with Nancy Pelosi in 2008.

Number nine moderate moment in GOP history: Bush-Quayle '92.

The number eight moderate moment GOP history: Dole-Kemp '96.

number seven most moderate moment in Republican history: Ford-Dole '76.

number six: Jumpin' Jim Jeffords jumps from the Republican Party.

: Arlen Specter switches parties.

four: Richard Nixon resigns in disgrace.

number three: Dede Scozzafava endorses the Democrat, Owens

number two: The McCain campaign of 2008.

The number one top ten moderate moment in Republican history: Colin Powell endorsing Barack Obama, the Democrat, for president in 2008!

Every one of them took us where? Backwards!

<clipSource>http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_110309/content/01125112.guest.html</clipSource>

GOP uses Amplify to focus the health care debate

clipped by: egoldstein
clipper's remarks: One of the greatest challenges of our time is trying understand the complex issues being debated in Washington. Whether it's regarding the Swine Flu, global warming or in this case, the proposed health care bill, people need a better way to understand it all. I am incredibly excited that the House Republicans are using Amplify to take transparency to a whole new level in regards to the legislative process. Forgive me for sounding a bit corny, but i think this is truly a great thing for our democracy.

Clip Source: healthcaretruth.amplify.com

As House Republicans continue to battle Speaker Pelosi’s $1.3 trillion government takeover of health care, they’re using a new tool - Amplify.com - to engage the American people in a section-by-section dialogue scrutinizing all 1,990 pages of PelosiCare. Republicans hope the new site will provide the American people with an unfiltered online clearinghouse for emerging information about the Pelosi bill as Democrats attempt to bring the massive legislation to a vote.

The idea is simple. As House Republicans pour pore through the Speaker’s health care monstrosity and uncover harmful provisions not being disclosed to the American people by the majority, Amplify allows House Republicans to clip specific portions and explain what they mean in plain English.

Tags: gop, health care

<clipSource>http://healthcaretruth.amplify.com/</clipSource>
