Herbarium Amoris is produced by Edvard Koinberg in collaboration with the Swedish Institute. The exhibition was first exhibit at Bergius Garden, Stockholm in 2003, and have since that been displayed in more then 20 places around the world.

The Swedish Institute is a public agency established to disseminate knowledge abroad about Sweden´s social and cultural life, to promote cultural and informational exchange with other countries and to contribute to increased international cooperation in the fields of education and research.

The exhibition Herbarium Amoris contains 38 pictures and 8 texts about and by Carl Linnaeus. Herbarium amoris is to be shown around the world during 2007, 300 years after the birth of Carl Linnaeus, and intil the end of 2008.

Washington - Gasoline-powered lawnmowers blamed for summertime air pollution will have to be cleaner under new rules from the Environmental Protection Agency.

The regulation issued Thursday requires a 35 percent reduction in emissions from new lawn and garden equipment powered by engines under 25 horsepower. It takes effect in 2011 and is expected to save approximately 190 million gallons of gasoline each year.

Environmentalists welcome the regulation. It had been delayed for years by opposition from small engine manufacturers and their congressional supporters.

who said she worked on the asbestos issue at the same time as Obama, said she doesn't know of any other work that Obama did at Altgeld Gardens aside from helping on asbestos.

"I like him, he is a nice, young intelligent man, but some of the things he said are not true," said Johnson. "I was organizing, doing that work before Obama even came to the Gardens."

Obama walks a fine line between putting himself at the center of the action at Altgeld Gardens and maintaining that he kept himself in the background

Peanut Butter Pasta

Adapted from The Garden of Vegan

Makes 2-3 servings.

Dry pasta (enough for 2 people)
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
1/4 cup hot water
1/4 cup soy milk or coconut milk (or more water)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp steak sauce or vegan worcestershire sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp cayenne (more if you like it spicy)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
3-4 cups veggies (broccoli, bell peppers, edamame, carrots, peas, corn, etc), cut into bite size pieces

1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Cook the pasta. While the pasta is cooking, whisk together the peanut butter, hot water, and milk (soy, coconut, rice - if using) until smooth. Stir in the soy sauce, steak sauce/worcestershire, garlic, cayenne, salt and pepper. When pasta is almost done, add vegetables and cook for another couple of minutes. Drain and return to pot. Pour in the peanut sauce and toss well. Garnish with chopped nuts, if using.

Why I love my home based business

This past week I have been thinkng about how lucky I am. I am on the phone talking with people that are looking to join Occupy the City while I am sorting seeds I harvested from my garden on the patio. Then we have a meeting and in between joking around we are discussing how to make pasta.

Mobile Searches Show Strong Demand for Pizza

Pizza grabbed four of 10 spots in a recent list of mobile-directory restaurant searches in US metropolitan areas, according to V-Enable, as reported by TechCrunch. Pizza Hut, Domino’s, Papa John’s and Little Caesar’s all made the top six.

Results of the study suggest directory-search trends point to evidence of the lagging economy. Sit-down, full-service restaurants such as Olive Garden, Applebee’s and Red Lobster have dropped in the rankings, while lower-priced, convenience-oriented operations have gained ground.

Some 380% more searches for Pizza Hut were conducted between October 2007 and June 2008 than previously, and searches for Domino’s Pizza have increased 980% during the same period.

U-Haul, which was never in the top 50, is now #23 in general search. V-Enable suggests this might be indicative of more foreclosures and the need to move.

122. What many here don't understand. It doesn't matter if it's true or not. RUMOR IS TRUTH.
The modern laws of media hype and political warfare have a useful tenet:
Repeat ANYTHING or raise false concern over ANYTHING and it is likely to be planted in the conscious/subconscious of many voters.
If people start to think that there might be something fishy with Palin's last kid (if hers), then that's FINE. One more doubt (whether tied to reality or not) is another hesitation at the ballot box.
GET WITH THE PROGRAM PEOPLE. The "rising above it" bullshit has served us so well in the past, hasn't it?
If you have problems with the story, then STFU and get out of the way of Dems who are engaged in MODERN POLITICAL WARFARE. Go tend your garden or some other pedestrian task, because the "concern trolls" are not helping shape the message.

Completed in 1930 to serve parishioners in central Phoenix before suburban expansion after World War II, this four-story church includes a roof-top garden, concrete and wood floors, diamond-patterned clerestory windows, Italian gothic motifs, three-pointed arch doorways, decorative cornices, stone columns, and a bell tower. August 2007 Update: Discussions continue between the property owner and other interested parties, including the City of Phoenix and Arizona State University, to find solutions to protect this site. A proposed new multi-story retail/residential development on the northwest corner of the block could impact the project.
