Some of Hillary Clinton's most fervent supporters are taking their enthusiasm – and their campaign contributions – to John McCain.

More than 85 of Clinton's fundraisers, including Donald Trump, Univision chief executive Joseph Uva, cable mogul Charles Dolan, philanthropist Norma Hess and one of Florida's biggest lobbyists appear to be skipping Barack Obama when it comes to writing checks for the general election, according to an ABCNews.com review of campaign finance records.

These Clinton donors have contributed at least $200,000 to McCain's campaign in the last few months, an amount which doesn't include larger contributions to the Republican joint fundraising committees.

The defecting donors, along with a significant segment (20 percent) of Clinton fans who have expressed support for McCain in recent polls, could present a problem for Obama in the general election.

This is so interesting to me these women have had their vote stolen from them in Florida and Mich.. They saw Hillary pushed aside by the media and Obama and they are angry.

He could have stopped the votes from being stolen and he said nothing, so much for respecting a persons vote

Trump to buy McMahon's home, let him live there

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Donald Trump will soon be Ed McMahon's landlord.

Trump announced Thursday he would save the television personality's Beverly Hills mansion from foreclosure by buying it for an undisclosed amount and leasing it to McMahon.

The developer told the Los Angeles Times he doesn't know McMahon personally, but acted out of compassion because helping out "would be an honor."

McMahon, 85, who was Johnny Carson's sidekick on the "Tonight" show for three decades, has not worked for about 18 months because of a neck injury. He defaulted on $4.8 million in mortgage loans with Countrywide Financial Corp.

McMahon's spokesman, Howard Bragman, told The Associated Press that paperwork on the sale had not been completed but that McMahon was "very optimistic" the deal would go through.

A gust of wind gave Trump's iconic 'do a shake-up while he was visiting his late mother's former residence on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. Trump was there to propose a golf resort full of hotels, private houses and golf villas, but Aberdeenshire counselors refused his plans. Looks as if it was more than just a bad hair day for the real estate mogul.

Comedian Lewis Black is dismayed by the number of American landmarks that have been falling into foreign hands due to the country's economic problems. In a segment on Tuesday's Daily Show, Black complained that "America's gone from a beacon of hope to a beacon of insane deals. It's the End of an Empire sale -- and everything must go!"

"We're so hard up for cash, we're dismantling America and selling it for scrap," Black lamented. "The Chrysler Building -- going once, going twice, sold. Abu Dhabi bought the skyscraper for $800 million."

As his second example, Black pointed out that "this $95 million oceanfront mansion once owned by Donald Trump was just bought by a Russian fertilizer mogul" -- who may tear it down to build something else. "Wow," Black exclaimed. "Trump's design esthetic is even tacky to a guy who sells shit for a living!"

"It's a little sad that Americans don't come through and buy things like this," was Trump's own comment on the sale.

Rep. Charles Rangel, chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, says he plans to file an ethics complaint — against himself.

The move comes after a Washington Post reporter wrote a story raising questions about the New York Democrat’s efforts to raise money for an academic facility in Harlem that will bear his name.

The story suggested that Rangel violated House rules by sending out letters bearing an official congressional letterhead seeking funds for the Rangel Center, to be located at the City College of New York, from Donald Trump and other wealthy individuals.

At a press conference on Thursday morning, Rangel urged the Post reporter to have his paper request an investigation with the House Ethics Committee. He said if the paper does not make such a request, he will personally request an investigation. But under House rules, only lawmakers can file an official ethics complaint against another legislator, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Louise Benson says that allowing people to sell their transplantable body organs would result in poor people being "enticed by the money" to become suppliers; she thinks this outcome would be "sick" (Letters, May 31). Ignore Dr. Benson's questionable presumption that her personal cultural aesthete should trump the freedom of other adults to make such choices. Focus instead on the economics. If organ sales were liberalized, the availability of organs would rise and their prices would fall. Transplant surgery would become more affordable and, thus, more lives - not only of the rich but of all classes - would be improved and saved.

What's truly sick is government's continued prohibition of organ sales.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Television network NBC on Thursday dismissed speculation that O.J. Simpson, who was acquitted in 1995 of murdering his ex-wife, would appear on an upcoming version of its reality TV program, "The Apprentice."

"NBC representatives have never considered O.J. Simpson for the next season of 'The Apprentice,' nor will," NBC spokesperson Amanda Ruisi said.

Media reports this week have speculated that business mogul Donald Trump, who is the show's host and executive producer, had been approached by Simpson to participate in a new season of the show in which contestants compete against each other in a series of business endeavors.

Ruisi said Trump and Simpson had spoken, but she did not know the outcome of the conversation. A spokeswoman for Trump said he was not considering Simpson, but she declined to provide further details.
