To delete folders in Clipmarks go to your main profile page which will look like this (with your username before the .clipmarks) http://destiny911.clipmarks.com

While you are logged in you will see a small X to the right of your folder names in your profile under ClipCasts. The X allowed me to delete each folder one at a time.

I never did find any help out there and accidentally discovered it when clicking every link available in my account until I found it. There may be a better way - but that got it done for now.

<clipSource>http://destinydawnmarie.com/how-to-delete-folders-in-clipmarks/</clipSource>

Clipmarks - Supergranular Version

clipped by: invictus
clipper's remarks: More reviews of clipmarks: One from Yahoo Finance (via Business Wire) and one from Webware. Previously, the service made it possible to snip paragraphs and pictures from Web pages and save them. Today, the service launches its new, supergranular version, which lets you clip out sentences or phrases--or, if you want to be silly about it, single words or letters.

The visitor data is combined with information about number of links that point towards the site, country, Alexa ranking and other data that is available on-line. All this information has been used to make a formula that uses the information that is available on-line to estimate the number of pageviews, its worth and possible daily incom that the site has.

How accurate is WebsiteOutlook?

It is not an exact science, but it does give you a very good picture of how many pageview, daily ads revenue a website has.
I know I have not been using Clipmarks much lately (the clipdaddies wants me to use Amplify and the Clipmarks' original steam has been stolen by Twitter, two big distractions, but no love has been lost no matter how many old timers have jumped off the boat). But there's a lot going on here on daily basis (minus the spammers) and I'm sure you must have your list of things you like to see CM implement or change.

I feel Clipmarks needs rebranding and relaunch with more focus on social-networking aspect. Off top of my head, I can't think of anything new I wish to see here except perhaps the landing page for visitors should be their My Guides' Mix page.

More through the comments .... you add yours as well.

Clip Source: clipmarks.com

Tags: clipmarks

<clipSource>http://clipmarks.com/</clipSource>

Clipmarks has been downloaded how many times?

clipped by: arifsali
clipper's remarks: I was pretty surprised to see these numbers. This free software offers tabbed browsing (where you can open multiple web pages in the same browser window and flick between them), RSS feeds (which stream news and updates from your favourite sites), and a host of extensions that improve surfing, such as Clipmarks, which allows you to bookmark only the most interesting parts of a web page, rather than the whole thing.

Tags: clipmarks, firefox, browser, web, extensions

<clipSource>http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/main.jhtml?xml=/connected/2007/06/14/dlapple14.xml</clipSource>

Clipmarks for Firefox

clipped by: achorew

Clip Source: addons.mozilla.org

Instead of copying and pasting links, Clipmarks is like adding a pair of scissors to your browser, letting you capture exactly what you want others to see (text, images or video). Your clips are saved on clipmarks.com and can easily be syndicated to FriendFeed, Twitter, Facebook or other sites. You can also post anything you clip directly to your blog (supports Wordpress, Blogger, Typepad and more) or send it directly to friends or co-workers via email. Clipmarks also gives you a way to help the environment by printing only the parts of a page that you need. By printing just what you need, you'll save ink, paper and trees, thus making a contribution to a cleaner environment.

Your clip collection is accessible from any computer with an internet connection, including your iPhone, Blackberry, or other mobile device.

<clipSource>https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addons/versions/1407#version-3.5.1</clipSource>

A Positive Example suitable for Clipmarks Devotees

clipped by: NonStatQuo
clipper's remarks: I have often used clipmarks as a sounding board, to flesh out my own premature ideas in the delightful cloak of semi-anonymity. Not everything that I say I fully mean. Some thoughts are sounding boards to my own opinions until I firm them up and watch them gel in my own head while my fingers are flying across the keyboard.

In the beginning, I spent every day reading comments people left behind mine, opening them up like christmas presents.

For awhile, I left clipmarks because the animosity became so acrimonious that I suffered indigestion along with the cup of coffee and cookie I was enjoying while I read CM in the late morning.

I have enjoyed clipmarks and enjoy reading the clips from people I don't necessarily agree with as well as those of whom I do agree.

I hope in the spirit of the late Ted Kennedy we can take his example of leadership and disagree without rancor and argue passionately with tolerance for an opposing view.

Thank you for reading. Good Day.

Clip Source: campaignsilo.firedoglake.com

He drew them toward him, invariably against their own habits, not by selling out his progressive goal, but by appealing to the decency he perceived in them.

Joe Conason has a good piece in Salon on Edward Kennedy's liberalism, his backing of the public option, and his talent for true bipartisanship -- in other words, how Teddy could get even the most conservative Republicans to back his legislation on occasion without selling himself and us out. The piece ends thus:

Tags: ted kennedy, politics, humanity, kindness, peace, love, conversation, manners, polite discourse

<clipSource>http://campaignsilo.firedoglake.com/2009/08/27/more-on-teddy-wheel-dealing-and-the-public-option/</clipSource>

Another nice review of Amplify

clipped by: egoldstein
clipper's remarks: We haven't been seeking out the reviews, but nice to see Amplify getting noticed. I clipped this paragraph because it speaks to one of the reasons we created Amplify as a separate service from Clipmarks. We really didn't want to disturb the user experience or community on Clipmarks.com, but we wanted a way to better support Twitter and Facebook users as well as groups. We felt the best way to do this would be to create Amplify as a separate service from Clipmarks, but giving Clipmarks users the option to sync the two.

Clip Source: www.appscout.com

In a way, Amplify is what I had hoped Clipmarks would be: in addition to giving you an easy way to take entire clippings of the Web that you can return to and review later, the service allows you to share those interesting tidbits with the world. This way you give other people a way to interact with you, comment on your clippings, and see what you're reading on the Web that you think is interesting and worth sharing. Since Amplify allows you to hook into your Twitter or Facebook account, the service doesn't have to compete with those networks for attention and can compliment them instead.

Tags: amplify, appscout, pc magazine, review

<clipSource>http://www.appscout.com/2009/06/collect_blog_and_share_clips_o.php</clipSource>
