John Tabutt told police he seized his gun because he thought he heard someone in his Florida home.

Thinking his live-in partner was in bed, the 62-year-old fired at a figure in a dark hallway.

He discovered too late he struck Nancy Dinsmore, also 62, who he was due to marry the very next day.

Tabutt called 911 in the early hours of Friday, moaning and sobbing, according to local newspaper reports.

"I thought I had an intruder in the house," he told the emergency operator. "Honest to God, she looks dead."

A "distraught" Tabutt stood by while his fiancée was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, according to police.

He has not been charged with any offence and officers said everything pointed to a tragic accident.

When quiried abot the actual killing of the elusive Bigfoot and where the actual body was, Mr. Obama claims he really didn't 'kill' the Yeti, but wounded him in the arm. He tearfuly expressed his sorrow for wounding the beast as a camera crew from PETA caught the tearful confession.

When the animal extremist crew left, Obama turned his attention to the reporters who were setting up to record his hunting statements. Reporters pressed him for more details about his hunting exploits. Questions ranged from..."Where did you hunt in Chicago?" to... "What caliber bullets he used in his shotgun?"

Mr. Obama stumbled on the last question and had to ask an aide "what a shotgun was".

Speaking of being underwhelmed by the arguments, we've actually got people arguing for the existence of fairies and bigfoot. They even say they've got evidence: here's the Croydon photo:

Looks like an ugly flash artifact of an insect caught in flight.

Some guy in Kentucky had a video camera set up to monitor his backyard, and it caught this frame of a purported Bigfoot:

I have no idea what that blurry blob is…somehow, whenever one of these mysterious creatures is seen, the lucky witness is always either a really awful photographer or is using garbage equipment.

There are some real mysteries here, though. Why was that woman going out to take pictures of her ugly lawn furniture at night, and why does that guy need constant video surveillance of his weedy back yard?

On Sunday we think that the Cattoors will round up all the horses on the mountain-top-- Cloud's band included-- and drive them the 10-12 miles down the mountain. We are most concerned with the week-old filly and the elderly Bigfoot. There is no reason to bring these specific horses down the mountain and we are requesting that the roundup crew leave them alone.

There is an incredible public outcry for these horses and while the BLM is turning a blind eye to the public whose horses they are charged with managing, others are listening. Please continue to call and demand that your congressionals ask the Montana senators Baucus and Tester, as well as congressman Denny Rehberg, why they are allowing the destruction of this unique little herd on their watch. Tester and Baucus' offices have been telling us that this matter is in the BLM's hands-- this is unacceptable. Demand that fewer horses be removed. These horses are far too special to give up on.

First up, we have this Dogtown Bigfoot. It is in great condition, complete with Independent trucks and Kryptonics wheels. The Indys are early, stage I or stage IIs. Personally I would have removed the butt-ugly tailskids, but that’s just me. They look like big black sponges back there. The auction ended at $1,799.

Yes, it’s s Santa Cruz Salba Bevel. Credited with having the deepest concave of any board at the time, the Salba bevel quickly passed into legend status. Very few ever come up, but this one apparently isn’t a production model. The seller used to “build their decks” whatever that means, and this was a sample to proof the shape. Still, it is super-rare. The auction ended at $1,858.

I never rated this deck at all. It’s the Zorlac “devil fish”, with the original crap Satan graphic. The deck was big and ugly, just like the graphic, with the slightest hammerhead shape. This colorway doesn’t help either. Hideous, and I wouldn’t have featured it, but it went for $998. Wow.

This is one of two images currently available of a mysterious primate skull found yesterday just outside Dallas. I am waiting to see how long it will be before someone leaps upon it with glee, proclaiming it to be the skull of bigfoot.

It's not, because, although there is nothing in this picture for scale, the video embedded at http://www.nbcdfw.com:80/news/local/Its-a-Skull-But-What-Kind.html shows that it fits comfortably on the palm of the hand of the geezer who found it. It will, however, be interesting to see how the story unfoldS.
