There have been earlier stories of home flipping schemes that made liberal use of illegal aliens as straw buyers and the FBI has followed numerous cases to prosecution and conviction. But the Old Media have not done much with this story.

KFYI reports that these fraudulent straw purchases of mortgages by illegal aliens has affected every state in the union.

The problem began years ago when banks were forced to give mortgages without confirming social security numbers or borrower identification. As a result, illegal immigrants were able to obtain home mortgages which they could not afford.

Lax immigration laws have also helped make this crime easy to perpetrate.

In 1965 a Democrat Controlled Congress under President Lyndon Johnson passed the concept of “chain” immigration into law. A later commission named the Hesburgh Commission convened during Ronald Reagan’s first term, found that this concept statistically allowed each single immigrant to bring into this country 84 of his family members

Subjective Validation

Subjective Validation is also sometimes called the “personal validation effect” because it refers to a process by which people accept some claim or phenomenon as valid based solely upon a few personal experiences and/or subjective perception. In practice, this error is cited when a person perceives two independent events as having some sort of deeper, hidden relationship because of that person’s prior beliefs, expectations or hypotheses about the world.

According to the premises from which this person interprets the world, such a relationship must necessarily exist, and so the person will find a way to explain the data in terms of the assumed relationship. This subjective validation is often accompanied by Confirmation Bias whereby the person weighs the supporting data much more heavily than information which might cast doubt upon their beliefs.

This subjective validation is generally at the heart of people’s reports of the experience of paranormal phenomena.

When I saw this website, I laughed. I couldn’t help it; it’s a funny idea.

That webcam site is a joke. It’s not real, it’s a satire on people who think the LHC would cause the end of the world. I laughed when I saw it.

But I’m not laughing now.

In India the other day, a young girl, distraught with fear that the world was ending when the LHC turned on, killed herself. She died, because she didn’t understand the truth.

Now that site is less funny, isn’t it? All over the world, in all different countries, people are raised to believe in superstitious nonsense, and raised to believe with all their hearts that it’s real.

And when we do that, we do far more than remove people from reality. We leave them vulnerable to all manners of nonsense, from believing in fairies to truly and honestly thinking the LHC will destroy the planet

Children die

Question authority. Be skeptical of claims. Ask for evidence. Apply good logic. Avoid bad logic. Analyze the results. Look for bias.

And doubt. Doubt doubt

we don't know if the differences between AP-CfK's Sept. 5-10 and Sept. 27-30 results were created deliberately, but the results sure look suspicious

The more recent poll shows Obama with a 7-point lead among likely voters, both with and without leaners; the earlier poll showed McCain with a 5-point lead with leaners, and 4 points without.

Almost all of this 12-point swing (11 points with leaners) is more than likely almost completely due to major differences between the two polls' samples:

"Somehow," the sample make-up changed from 33-31 Democrat to 40-29 Democrat from the earlier to the latter poll -- a shift of nine points.

After correcting for differences in the samples, almost all of Obama's double-digit pickup disappears, leaving McCain with four- and three-point leads without and with leaners, respectively.

Either AP isn't supervising its GfK cooks properly, or it's directing them to poison discussions of presidential race

How the minority party in the house is responsible for the failure of a bill pushed by the majority even though quite a few of the minority voted for the bill. Pelosi couldn't (or more likely, wouldn't) reign in her own troops in support of the bill, so how is it the republicans are to blame?

Nearly 100 Democrats in the House of Representatives voted against the financial bailout bill yesterday. Fifteen Democrats in California from the home state of the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, even voted against the bill.

Thirteen Democrats on the House Financial Services Committee voted against the bill, too! And seven Democrats on the Homeland Security Committee voted against the bill, including its chairman!

Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., one of the main congressional negotiators, and chairman of the House Financial Services Committee failed to get his democratic team on his own banking committee on board with the bill!. Now that's telling.

Yet, all we hear the Democrats on TV do is to spew their partisan venom against the Republicans.

Aside from token mentions of Colin Powell, the excludes Codi Rice, Clarence Thomas, j. C. Watts, Michael Steele Alan Keyes, and other prominent conservatives. The book focuses on how African-Americans on the political left have benefited from the civil rights movement. As near as I can tell that translates to celebrating a presidential candidate who is the product of affirmative action while dismissing African-Americans on the political right as…what? Sell outs?

Gwen Ifill, a fixture on PBS’ Washington Week and News Hour, will moderate tomorrow night’s vice Presidential candidate debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden. But it will not be her biggest moment to shine. It is not because she already moderated the 2004 Vice Presidential candidate debate. It is because she has a book ready to be released on Inauguration Day entitled The Age of Obama. The book will discuss the impact of the extraordinary presidential campaign of Barack Obama on all aspects of life as we know.

Right now, one has to look askance at the author of such a pro-Obama book moderating a Veep debate. I have doubts ifill will fully disclose she is writing such a book. Considering she was PBS was swept with complaints regarding her dismissive attitude while commenting on air about Palin’s RNC speech, one already suspects her biases are going to show.

On its editorial page today The New York Times published a complete lie about Governor Sarah Palin from Alaska:

The editorial attacks Sarah Palin for a complete fabrication (while it props up Joe Biden):

This is completely false.

** There is not one single record of the Wasilla police department charging any rape victim for an examination.

Not one.

The Finance Department searched all financial records on our system for fiscal year 2000, 2001 and 2002. There are no records of billings to or collections from rape victims or their insurance companies in our system.

Bob Owens discovered this and also reported that these rumors began at an obscure liberal blog written by a man in LA after Sarah Palin was chosen as the Republican VP candidate.

By the way... Joe Biden met with the Georgian leader today without the press and guess what?

I caught a commercial teaser for the Charlie Gibson interview of Sarah Palin and something caught my attention as a Director immediately: The use of the position and choice of lenses to minimalize Governor Palin.

I immediately reviewed Mr. Gibson's interview with Senator Obama. Take a look below at how wide and then how even the heights are between the two.

Now take a look at Sarah Palin's interview below.

the deliberate choice of the camera's height, framing and the use of telephoto lenses all serve to make Mr. Gibson look overpowering and Governor Palin the weak prey. This is common shooting technique we use to make a villain appear more ominous.

To illustrate this further, I utilized some storyboarding software

by merely adjusting the height of the camera and using a telephoto lens we can manipulate the shot to make either subject we want larger or smaller. The characters themselves were not scaled up or moved at all.

College Probes Professor Who Assigned Students to ‘Undermine’ Palin in Essay

An English teacher at Denver’s Metropolitan State College is being investigated by the college for bias, bullying and harassment after he gave students in his class an assignment to “undermine” the Republican portrayal of vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

Metropolitan State College spokeswoman Cathy Lucas told FOXNews.com that the college has not received a formal complaint against Andrew Hallam, a professor who asked students to write an essay that would contradict the portrayal of Sarah Palin’s life as a “fairy tale,” but the school is asking students who know more to come forward.

Barber also accused Hallam of singling out Republican students and allowed other students to ridicule them.

the worst part of it is that the media just plays along. That's why I've never bought into claims that the media has an inherent liberal or conservative bias—it implies the media puts a lot of actual thought into its political coverage.

Most news outlets cover politics like a pack of dogs chasing a flashlight beam. They don't care where that bright spot on the wall is coming from. They see it and think, "Go get it!" Then it moves to the floor, and they run as a wild pack, barking at the top of their lungs, coming up with nothing. Over and over. Meanwhile, the guy sitting in the chair with the flashlight is doubled over in laughter at how easy it is to fool these simple beasts with such a basic tool.

Pollster Scott Rasmussen finds that 68 percent believe "most reporters try to help the candidate they want to win" and that 51 percent -- more than support McCain -- believe the press is "trying to hurt" Sarah Palin.
