That meant a switch to using freons.

Einstein and Szilard's idea avoids the need for freons. It uses ammonia, butane and water and takes advantage of the fact that liquids boil at lower temperatures when the air pressure around them is lower. 'If you go to the top of Mount Everest, water boils at a much lower temperature than it does when you're at sea level and that's because the pressure i

Clip Source: www.guardian.co.uk

That meant a switch to using freons.

It uses ammonia, butane and water and takes advantage of the fact that liquids boil at lower temperatures when the air pressure around them is lower.

<clipSource>http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2008/sep/21/scienceofclimatechange.climatechange</clipSource>

For Sale: Albert Einstein's watch

clipped by: infopunk

Clip Source: www.antiquorum.com

Clip Source: www.antiquorum.com

Antiquorum Auctioneers is actively preparing for its fall auction that will take place on October 16 at its’ US headquarters on Madison Avenue in New York City.

For the Einstein fan, we have a Longines that was owned by the scientist himself.

It is a unique and historically important wristwatch, made in 1930.

The watch was presented to Professor Albert Einstein on February 16, 1931 in Los Angeles.

It is a fine, tonneau-shaped, 14K yellow gold wristwatch accompanied by various photos showing Prof. Einstein wearing the watch.

Americans were with their lives over a nine-year period. To test this idea, the
researchers conducted two surveys, the first in 1995-1996, and the second nine
years later, between 2004 and 2006

The results suggest that there are age-related differences in how we view the

present as being equally satisfying

but believed that the future would be less satisfying than the present

Americans younger than 65 viewed the present as more satisfying

more optimistic about the future

Older adults

were more realistic and gave accurate predictions about how satisfied they would

disrupting nature on an unprecedented, massive scale causing birds and bees to
lose their bearings, fail to reproduce and die, according to controversial
research by Dr. Ulrich Warnke, a lecturer at the University of Saarland, in
Germany, who has been studying the effects of man-made electrical fields on
wildlife for more than 30 years. Warnke believes that "an unprecedented dense
mesh of artificial magnetic, electrical and electromagnetic fields" is being
generated, disrupting the "natural system of information" on which the species
rely. Bees are able to change the polarity of their antennae at will, which
enables them to navigate using the Earth's magnetic fields.

fundamentally changed the natural electromagnetic energies and forces on the
