Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Reid promised so much...but the final number says it all. Most of us believe that Congressmen & women are more interested in promoting their careers rather than dealing with issues. No one called me, but I couldn't agree more. I saw Sen. Warner talking about lowering the speed limit to 55mph again. What an embarrassment!

Clip Source: rasmussenreports.com

Congressional Performance

The percentage of voters who give Congress good or excellent ratings has fallen to single digits for the first time in Rasmussen Reports tracking history. This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. Most voters (52%) say Congress is doing a poor job, which ties the record high in that dubious category.

Voters hold little positive sentiment about the future. Just 41% find it at least somewhat likely that Congress will address important problems facing our nation in the near future, while 55% find this unlikely.

Most voters (72%) think most members of Congress are more interested in furthering their own political careers. Just 14% believe members are genuinely interested in helping people.

McGovern back in March:

The Reyes hard drive reveals an ardent effort to do business directly with the FARC by Congressman James McGovern (D., Mass.), a leading opponent of the free-trade deal. Mr. McGovern has been working with an American go-between, who has been offering the rebels help in undermining Colombia's elected and popular government.

Mr. McGovern's press office says the Congressman is merely working at the behest of families whose relatives are held as FARC kidnap hostages. However, his go-between's letters reveal more than routine intervention.

Now, today we find out who was directing Rep. McGovern--
Speaker Pelosi!

Mary Anastasia O'Grady at The Wall Street Journal reported:

FARC's 'Human Rights' Friends

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121538827377131117.html?mod=todays_columnists

Clip Source: gatewaypundit.blogspot.com

New information reveals that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was indirectly sending messages to the FARC. The Marxist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) is designated as a terrorist group by the US government. Speaker Pelosi was doing this while at the same time she refused to bring a free trade agreement with Colombia up for a vote in the US House. In fact, Pelosi took extraordinary steps to block this trade agreement with America's closest ally in South America.

Clip Source: bp3.blogger.com

Clip Source: gatewaypundit.blogspot.com

Cordoba-Pelosi-McGovern

Colombian Sen. The CPD reports officer told Committee staff that the former ambassador's wife "offered up his name" and a memorandum to the Deputy Chief of the CPD on February 12, 2002.

Clip Source: gatewaypundit.blogspot.com

It's been a rough go for the "so covert they know not if she is covert" Plame-Wilsons ever since her husband started hustling for the democrats and giving speeches on his African poolside adventures...

Plame also testified that she played no part in deciding to send her husband, former ambassador Joseph C. Toddlers who say "yuck" when given flavorful foreign food may be exhibiting racist behavior, a British government-sponsored organization says.

The London-based National Children's Bureau released a 366-page guide counseling adults on recognizing racist behavior in young children, The Telegraph reported Monday.

The guide, titled Young Children and Racial Justice, warns adults that babies must also be included in the effort to eliminate racism because they have the ability to "recognize different people in their lives."

The bureau says to be aware of children who "react negatively to a culinary tradition other than their own by saying 'yuck'."

"Racist incidents among children in early years settings tend to be around name-calling, casual thoughtless comments and peer group relationships," the guide says.

Staff members are advised not to ignore racist actions and to condemn them when they occur.

<clipSource>http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=upiUPI-20080707-122008-1071&show_article=1</clipSource>

Toddlers who dislike spicy food deemed 'racist'

clipped by: Smoke TNT

Clip Source: www.telegraph.co.uk

07/07/2008

Toddlers who turn their noses up at spicy food from overseas could be branded
 racists by a Government-sponsored agency.

The National Children's Bureau, which receives £12 million a year, mainly from
Government funded organisations, has issued guidance to play leaders and
nursery teachers advising them to be alert for racist incidents among
 youngsters in their care.

This could include a child of as young as three who says "yuk" in
response to being served unfamiliar foreign food.

The guidance by the NCB is designed to draw attention to potentially-racist
attitudes in youngsters from a young age.

Staff are told: "No racist incident should be ignored. When there is a
clear racist incident, it is necessary to be specific in condemning the
 action."

Nurseries are encouraged to report as many incidents as possible to their
 local council.

Tags: political correctness, liberals, totalitarianism, racism, children, government, schools, europe

<clipSource>http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/education/2261307/Toddlers-who-dislike-spicy-food-racist,-say-report.html</clipSource>

Catholic Church says true spirituality resides in the penis.

clipped by: boniface

Clip Source: edition.cnn.com

 Vatican 'regrets' female bishops decision

(CNN) -- The Vatican said Tuesday it regrets the decision by the Church of England's governing body to allow the ordination of women as bishops.

The move by the Anglican Church's General Synod "is a rift to the apostolic tradition" of ordaining only men as bishops, the Vatican said in a statement, and is another obstacle to reconciliation between Anglicans and Roman Catholics.

"This decision will have consequences on the dialogue which had brought good fruits," the Vatican statement said.

The General Synod passed a resolution Monday night that allows women to become bishops, acting over the objections of traditionalists who argued that Jesus only wanted men in leadership positions.

Some traditionalists have threatened to abandon the Anglican Church for the Roman Catholic Church if women become bishops. become blurred, a new logic is assumed: the more treatment there is, the better
are the results; or, escalation leads to success. The pupil is thereby
"schooled" to confuse teaching with learning, grade advancement with education,
a diploma with competence, and fluency with the ability to say something new.
His imagination is "schooled" to accept service in place of value. Medical
treatment is mistaken for health care, social work for the improvement of
community life, police protection for safety, military poise for national
security, the rat race for productive work. Health, learning, dignity,
