Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat at 10,582 km²

The salt is over 10 meters thick in the center. In the dry season, the salt planes are a completely flat expanse of dry salt, but in the wet season, it is covered with a thin sheet of water which makes the most beautiful reflections.

You can see every mountain and every cloud reflected in the salar and you can't tell how far away they are or where the sky starts and ends [1].

Due to its large size, smooth surface, high surface reflectivity when covered with shallow water, and minimal elevation deviation, Salar de Uyuni makes an ideal target for the testing and calibration of remote sensing instruments on orbiting satellites used to study the Earth.

In addition to providing an excellent target surface the skies above Salar de Uyuni are so clear, and the air so dry, that the surface works up to five times better for satellite calibration than using the surface of the ocean.

Crayola Artist - Don Marco

Don Marco was born in Northern Minnesota in the late 1920's. His interest in art was evident even before starting school. As a young adult in the Army Air Corp, he began his life's career in Air Traffic Control, which continued until his retirement from Honolulu International Airport in 1973. Much of his spare time was spent as a professional artist.

Before retirement, Don started developing a technique to create fine art using Crayola Crayons. Shortly after retiring he published his first print. Living in Southern California, his work was in demand including commissions from Burt Reynolds and a one-man show at his Dinner Theater in Florida.

A monkey and a lizard

One day there was a monkey hanging out in a tree smoking some real good weed. A lizard near by could smell the delicious aroma and decided to find out where it was coming from. After a few minutes of searcing he found the monkey. The monkey looked down at him and asked the lizard if he wanted to hit some of this good marijuana. The lizard obliged and climbed up the tree. After a few passes of the joint the lizard had some terrible cotton mouth and decided to walk down to the river and get something to drink. He told the monkey he would be right back for some more weed. While the lizard was gone getting a drink an alligator near by could smell the aroma and decided to find the source. He found where it was coming from and when he looked up he saw the monkey. The monkey looked at him in amazement and said "Damn Lizard how much water did you drink?"

Colors inserted into the skin’s dermis are known as tattoos or dermal pigmentation.

A practice traced back to Neolithic times, tattooing remains popular worldwide for body decoration, initiatory rites, religious observance, love vows, and identification, to name but a handful of uses.

Tattoo inks comprise of a variety of pigments in carrier solutions. The pigments may be organic-based, mineral-based, or plastic-based.

The plastic-based pigments offer the most vibrant colors.

the FDA has not attempted to regulate the use of tattoo inks and the pigments used in them and does not control the actual practice of tattooing

Even severe burning often fails to obliterate them. However, tattoo pigments can fade over time, especially red and yellow.

At present, no one laser can remove all tattoo colors well.

Red inks are not well absorbed by red or infrared light lasers, but are well absorbed by green light lasers
