In his State of the Union, the President asked Congress for $300 million for poor kids in the inner city. As there are, officially, 15 million children in America living in poverty, how much is that per child? Correct! $20.

Here’s your second question. The President also demanded that Congress extend his tax cuts. The cost: $4.3 trillion over ten years. The big recipients are millionaires. And the number of millionaires happens, not coincidentally, to equal the number of poor kids, roughly 15 million of them. OK class: what is the cost of the tax cut per millionaire? That’s right, Richie, $287,000 apiece.

Of course, there’s an effective alternative to Mr. Bush’s plan – which won’t cost a penny more. Simply turn it upside down. Let’s give each millionaire in America a $20 bill, and every poor child $287,000.

A year ago, he was a cute and cuddly ball of white fur who captured the hearts of millions worldwide.

Knut now weighs 22 stone and has six-inch claws and a fearsome set of fangs to match.

And he seemed to be particularly keen to test them on the three-year-old boy lying on the ground next to his enclosure.

Knut was rejected by his mother at birth in December 2006.

But his days of being picked up and cuddled are long gone.

He is, after all, a wild animal and now not even the keeper who raised him by hand dares to get close.

I boarded the bus and sat at the front, as I usually do. An ultra-Orthodox man that followed behind me told me to move to the back of the bus. Why? I asked. Because this is what the rabbis and their congregation decided, men sit at the front, while women sit at the back

An ultra-Orthodox group of people, possibly with the support of their rabbis, decide to turn to the Egged bus company in order to regularize segregated sitting arrangements between men and woman

Egged, which is a public company, is not allowed to order such discrimination

Yet the Orthodox proposed that they would merely ask women to sit at the back – not demand and certainly not force them to do so

The Orthodox are trying to present the situation as if they have an agreement with Egged that orders the segregation

This is misleading and fictitious

There is no agreement and there can be no such agreement

Created by Oded Ezer, Typosperma is the second experimental typo project in his 'Biotypography' series.
As a paraphrase on the biotechnology definition, 'Biotypography' is a term that refers to any typographical application that uses biological systems, living organisms, or derivatives thereof, to create or modify typographical phenomena. The main idea of the 'Typosperma' project was to create some sort of new transgenic creatures, half (human) sperm, half letter. These imaginary creatures are cloned sperms, that typographic information has been implanted into their DNA.
