Life can have its little irritations when you're cruising around the world on your £100million superyacht.

For example, the endless vista of clear blue sea fails to provide much greenery to ease the eye - apart from the odd tropical island.

For the owner of a forthcoming craft named WallyIsland, however, this will not be a problem.

For he, or she, will have a personal ocean-going garden.

The 325ft-long yacht is to feature a growing area with shrubbery and flower beds, kept healthy by an irrigation system.

It will also have a tennis court, pool and five accommodation decks including a main saloon, dining room, library, cinema, spa and fitness area.

The fuel tanks are so large that they allow for five years of cruising without having to stop for a fill-up.

it is believed that this industrial method of construction will bring the cost down to a "competitive" figure of around £100million.

A nail varnish that "vanishes" has been developed by a group of school pupils - offering girls the chance to beat bans on makeup.

The nail colour is a vivid red outdoors - but inside it transforms to a much paler shade which can hardly be seen.

The dramatic change is caused by a chemical reaction between the varnish and the ultraviolet light in natural sunlight.

The polish was devised by pupils from Albion High School, Salford, who thought the "vanishing" colour may help them beat the school's ban on nail polish.

They came up with the idea while working on an enterprise project with Paul Haywood and Sam Ingleson from Salford University's school of art and design.

The academics were so impressed with their work that they have continued to develop it.

It has long been thought that pain and disability are not only influenced by somatic pathology, if found, but also by psychological and psychosocial factors. However, only recently has the emotional dimension of pain gained salience in pain research (Chapman, 2001). This affective dimension of pain includes both the immediate feelings of unpleasantness associated with the painful sensation and negative emotions evoked by the pain itself (Price, 2000). The consensus that pain is a subjective emotional experience has instigated the study of pain within emotion research (Chapman, 2001). Researchers have since suggested a large overlap between those structures identified as being activated by pain and those associated with emotional responding (Chapman, Nakamura, Donaldson, Jacobson, Bradshaw, Flores and Chapman, 2001; Phan, Wager, Taylor & Liberzon, 2002).
