Gary Shiu, professor from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, proposes a model in which the shape of the extra spacial dimensions determines the properties of the universe, much in the same way the shape of a musical instrument determines its sound, meaning that string theory predicts that the particle masses and the forces exerted in the universe are in direct relation to the vibrating frequency of the string which, in turn, is given by the shape of the spatial dimensions.

We can normally see or experience only four of the dimensions of the universe, three spatial dimensions and a temporal one, but can we be certain that there aren't any others? Ever since

it was first constructed, the string theory model of the universe seemed to suggest that the world we live in cannot possibly exist in a four dimensional universe, thus theorists working on it started adding more and more spacial dimensions

By the time string theory was finally completed, it was already predicting the existence of six or seven spacial dimensions that are so small we cannot possibly perceive them. Nonetheless, physicists all over the world started looking for them by creating models of how one could get evidence of their existence. They predict that signatures left behind by a new class of particles could prove the existence of extra spatial dimensions and could even provide with a rough description of their shape.

It does include connection to the internet any is the chance of getting little sleep through watching movies or just being online all night.

"No one in the bedding industry has ever put so much technology into a bed or sleep system. It's a first for us and a first for the industry," says Mark Quinn, from the US company that markets the bed.

Why scratching is so relieving

In the first study to use imaging technology to see what goes on in the brain when we scratch, researchers at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center have uncovered new clues about why scratching may be so relieving – and why it can be hard to stop.

“Our study shows for the first time how scratching may relieve itch,” said lead author Gil Yosipovitch, M.D., a dermatologist who specializes in itch. “It’s important to understand the mechanism of relief so we can develop more effective treatments. For some people, itch is a chronic condition that affects overall health.”

“To our surprise, we found that areas of the brain associated with unpleasant or aversive emotions and memories became significantly less active during the scratching,” said Yosipovitch. “We know scratching is pleasurable, but we haven’t known why. It’s possible that scratching may suppress the emotional components of itch and bring about its relief.”

New Squirrel-like Mammal Discovered

A new species of mammal has been discovered in the mountains of Tanzania, scientists report.

The bizarre-looking creature, dubbed Rhynochocyon udzungwensis, is a type of giant elephant shrew, or sengi.

They are so bizarre-looking and a lot of their behavioural ecology is so unique and interesting, you kind of get wrapped up with them

He said: "Elephant shrews are almost all distinguished by distinctive colour patterns, and this is especially true of the forest-dwelling giant sengis.

It has a grey face, a long, flexible snout, a bulky, amber body, a jet-black rump and it stands on spindly legs.

Despite its name, the creature, along with the 15 other known species of elephant shrew, is not actually related to shrews.

UFO's 'Down Under' - Mystery Revealed

In 1989 there was a huge and very similar story from Belgium. Giant triangles flying over Brussels, showing up on radar....huge as battleships or aircraft carriers. The Belgian Air Force called a press conference about it and showed the images and radar scans, with audio recordings of the pilots who were sent to intercept.

No one could offer an earthly explanation. The EU promised to look into it and then? Then the press died down and everyone forgot about it.

I'll buy the Min Min lights explanation. I have seen lights in the outback myself and this could very well have been what I saw too. As for the antenna facility? Okay, I'll go with that too, but what about the Belgian triangles and the Stephensville and Phoenix triangles? Back to square one, I guess. The mystery continues.
