The War on Terror is failing. The U.S. citizens are losing. From the Patriot Act to mother's having to drink their own breast milk in order to board planes, the so-called "War" has been a miserable defeat to the citizens of the United States.

We are living in a reactionary period and the U.S. government has invoked and provoked more fear into the hearts of their citizens more so than any act of terror from foreign hostiles have. Humans have this wonderful capacity to forgive and forget but since that seems to be apathetic to the plight of those who have lost loved ones due to foreign enemies let's try a rephrase: Time is a magic pill.

Running from looks exactly the same as running toward but in the difference, there is a world. "I don't know where I'm going but I need to get away." versus "I am running toward something I want." Fear versus Freedom. The government is counting on your fear-based beliefs to not know the difference.

“Zero Calorie” Myth

Bad news for those that think they can slurp down "calorie free" drinks and not gain any weight from it. Scientists at Purdue University have discovered that lab models actually end up consuming more calories when artificial sweeteners are consumed than when natural sweeteners are consumed. In a series of experiments, scientists at Purdue University compared weight gain and eating habits in rats whose diets were supplemented with sweetened food containing either zero-calorie saccharin or sugar.

"The studies suggest artificial sweeteners somehow disrupt the body's ability to regulate incoming calories. It's still a bit of a mystery why they are overeating, but we definitely have evidence that the animals getting artificially sweetened yogurt end up eating more calories than the ones getting calorically sweetened yogurt."

Paolo Pellizzari, a Belgium-based Italian, made a name for himself with his panoramic work on India « A billion Indians » published by 5 Continents in Milan in 2000.
He subsequently travelled the world in search of « Human landscapes » whose portfolios
are distributed by Vu in Paris, Grazia Neri in Milan, and Polaris in New York. In 2004 he was awarded the Sportel Prize for the best sports book of the year for « Les Tours du Monde » (Tours of the world) in which he photographs the most exotic cycling races on the planet.
His work is regularly displayed in galleries in Turin, Milan, Paris and Brussels

Sheriff Dumps Quadriplegic From Wheelchair

The Hillsborough Co. Sheriff's Office held a press conference at 10:30am regarding the deputy who can be seen on video dumping a man in a wheelchair onto the ground.

They've announced that Deputy Charlette Jones has been relieved of her duties without pay pending the outcome of an investigation. She has not officially been terminated.

Jones has been employed by the Hillsborough Co. Sheriff's Office since 1996.

Chief Deputy Joe Docobo watched the video for the first time last night and said he found himself in "disgust" and was "appalled at every level."

Brian Sterner broke his neck almost 14 years ago and is a quadriplegic.

Sterner, who can drive, was arrested on a traffic violation. When he was booked into the Orient Road Jail last month, Sterner couldn’t believe what happened.

He says a deputy looked at him and didn’t believe he was a quadriplegic. She walked behind him, took the handles on the back of the hospital-grade wheel chair and dumped it forward.
