He’s serious.

According to Bebeacua, the church has a few hundred followers, and he hopes that registering the Madonna of Orgasm Church will get more people to consider the orgasm as God.

The church only has priestesses and its scriptures are called the Catechism of the Orgasm. The only gospel peached is the gospel of sex.

In case you’re wondering, they don’t have sex in church… they just preach a gospel of love.

Hardcore, orgasmic love.

The Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency in Sweden had denied the church’s application to become a registered religion (only because of its potentially offensive name), but Bebeacua won an appeal.

If there is no counter-appeal within three weeks, the church will be officially registered.

Wendy Whitaker (above) had consensual oral sex with her boyfriend when she was 17 and he was three weeks shy of his 16th birthday. She was convicted of sodomy in 1997 as a result, had to register as a sex offender for life, and can’t live within 1000 feet of schools or churches.
The Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta has filed a suit on her behalf to overturn parts of Georgia’s sex offender registry law, and she has just filed another suit to stop the state from evicting her from her home. She won’t be able to afford both a mortgage and a rent on a new home, so she would have to face foreclosure if she is forced from her house.
Whitaker’s case is reminiscent of that of Genarlo Wilson (r), a Georgia man who got 10 years for consensual sex he also had as a teenager. Wilson was finally freed after serving 2 years, and Whitaker is citing the cruel and unusual punishment in that case which will hopefully help her own cause.

Each year on the first Monday of Lent, the people of the tiny Greek town of Tyrnavos go crazy about penises, singing lewd songs and urging passersby to kiss their model phallusses.

Come prepared. Passersby tend to be grabbed and rocked over a pot of boiling "bourani" spinach soup while a ceramic penis is placed between their legs. They must kiss the phallus, then drink tsipouro -- a strong local spirit -- from its tip, and then stir the soup before they're let go.

The festival is in honor of Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, madness and ecstasy.

Until the 1940s, the penis party was reserved for the town's men folk. Over the years women gradually joined it and even children enjoy it these days, along with many tourists. But the local church isn't especially keen on it.

Paralyzed Man Speaks Again Using Brain Implant

Researchers implanted a special kind of electrode in his brain, one that's "impregnated with neurotrophic factors" that encourage brain neurons to grow into and around the electrode. Essentially this electrode forms a very strong connection with brain neurons, which results in a strong signal that reliably comes from the same part of the patient's brain over time.

Over a period of weeks, Guenther and his team worked to decode the signals coming from the man's brain. Eventually, he was able "to produce three vowel sounds with good accuracy," said Guenther. The man produces these sounds as quickly as he would normal speech, and Guenther added, "The long-term goal within five years is to have him use the speech brain–computer interface to produce words directly."

A man suffering from "locked in" syndrome, where a fully-conscious person is completely paralyzed except for some eyelid movements, is speaking again using a computer. Doctors report in Nature today that he's using a brain implant to control speech synthesizing software with his mind.

Though it is often difficult to tell when somebody with locked in syndrome is fully conscious, a team of doctors led by Frank Guenther of Boston University strongly suspected that the man was aware and longed to speak. They put their patient in an fMRI brain scanner and asked him to attempt to make vowel sounds. His brain showed the exact same patterns as an uninjured person making those sounds aloud.

The building was also the location of the famed "Scopes Monkey Trial" and is widely considered one of Darwinism's holiest sites. "Forgive me, O Charles, for ever doubting your Divine Evolution. After seeing this miracle of limestone pigmentation with my own eyes, my faith in empirical reasoning will never again be tested."

Mehndi is the application of Henna as a temporary form of skin decoration which is popular in South Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Somalia. Mehndi decorations became fashionable in the West in the late 1990s, where they are sometimes called henna tattoos. Henna is typically applied during special occasions like weddings and festivals. It is usually drawn on the palms and feet, where the color will be darkest because the skin contains higher levels of keratin which binds temporarily to lawsone, the colorant of henna. Henna was used as a form of decoration mainly for brides.

However, traditions in India, Bangladesh and Sudan sometimes expect bridegrooms to be painted as well. Yet that stance is one of the reasons that legislators are hampered in dealing with child deaths because parents, because of religious beliefs, refuse to seek medical help for treatable conditions in their children. My first reaction is to hell with them. Pass laws that force them to take proper care of their children. But doesn't that place me into the same sphere as the Evangelical who tries to pass laws to force prayer in public schools? Granted, no one dies from prayer. Except when that prayer is used in place of medical care for treatable conditions. Therein lies the rub.

Child deaths in Ore., Wis. revive concern on faith-healing exemption

EARLY WARNING Dr. Seth Asser, of Rhode Island, published a study 10 years ago concluding many such deaths could have been prevented.

OREGON CITY, Ore. - When Dr. Seth Asser saw row after row of flat headstones marking children's graves in a small cemetery not far from the end of the historic Oregon Trail, he knew many of these early deaths should not have happened.

The children's parents relied on faith healing, instead of doctors.

The pediatrician published a landmark study concluding many of the deaths could have been prevented if the children had received medical care.

"What struck me was the fact that it was obvious from the expressions on the headstones that the children were loved," Asser said. "So it was especially troublesome they were not afforded the care that most parents would give their children."
