Pandora’s Jar does not come with much documentation and it is not the most intuitive application to use. Fortunately, it is fairly easy to use if you carefully follow this step by step tutorial. Once you get the hang of starting Pandora’s Jar, you will soon have nicely labeled mp3 copies of everything you listen to on Pandora filling your hard drive. This program’s “low” rating is solely because it is hard to use, if I were just rating it’s ability to do what it claims, it would be at least a 4.5.

Beware of studying in bed – always better to sit up (otherwise it is too easy to fall asleep while reading or studying).
Eat healthy and exercise, even and especially during preparation for exams or papers.
Eat breakfast.
Watch your sleep – get enough.
Value friendships.
Attempt to develop at least one ongoing dialogue with a professor, assistant professor, instructor or graduate assistant.
Get to know the community.
Be aware of your surroundings.
Keep Greek or independent life in perspective.
Give yourself a break once in awhile and don’t be afraid to admit mistakes.
Use college/university to explore intellectually as you may discover interests and talents you never knew.
Vary where you study, don’t always study in your room, use the library as well.
Remember careers can change and so can majors.
Be positive and use the value of humor.

I discovered arbitrary code execution holes in Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera that involve human reaction time. One version of the attack works like this:

The page contains a captcha displaying the word "only" and asks you to type the word to verify that you are a human. As soon as you type 'n', the site attempts to install software, resulting in a security dialog. When you type 'y' at the end of the word, you trigger the 'Yes' button in the dialog. I made a demo of this attack for Firefox and Mozilla.

Another form of the attack involves convincing the user to double-click a certain spot on the screen. This spot happens to be the location where the 'Yes' button will appear. The first click triggers the dialog; the second click lands on the 'Yes' button. I made a demo of this attack for Firefox and Mozilla.

These types of attack work on any security dialog that can be triggered by untrusted content. The attack is most useful in a dialog where one of the buttons means "Yes, let this untrusted content run arbitrary code". Firefox has such a dialog in the form of the extension installation (XPI) dialog. Similarly, Internet Explorer has the ActiveX installation dialog and Opera has an "Open" button for downloaded executables. Programs other than browsers might also be vulnerable.

Like a computer booting up its operating system before running more complicated programs, the nitric oxide triggers certain functions that set the stage for more complex brain operations, according to a new study.

In these first moments of the day, sensory information floods the system—the bright sunlight coming through the curtains, the time on the screeching alarm clock—and all of it needs to be processed and organized, so the brain can understand its surroundings and begin to perform more complex tasks.

"The thinking part of the brain is applying a sort of stencil to the information coming in and what the nitric oxide is doing is allowing more refinement of that stencil," says Dwayne Godwin, an associate professor at Wake Forest University and lead author of the study, which was funded by the National Eye Institute.
