Not exactly pretty in pink ... the stonefish has spines along its back which inject potent venom into anyone unfortunate enough to stand on one. The pain is terrible.

A WOMAN named Jesus Christ has been kicked off a court jury because she was "disruptive" and "asking too many questions".

We couldn't find a picture of Jesus Christ of Birmingham, Alabama, so here's one of her namesake.

Court officials in Birmingham, Alabama, say the woman who changed her name to Jesus Christ didn't live up to it when she reported for jury duty this week.

The woman, previously named Dorothy Lola Killingworth, was sent to Judge Clyde Jones's courtroom for a criminal case Monday.

Court officials told The Birmingham News that the 59-year-old was excused because she was disruptive and kept asking questions instead of answering them.

Court administrator Sandra Turner said people there were shocked when the woman insisted her name was Jesus Christ and some potential jurors laughed out loud when her name was called.

Stealth boat to fight whalers

IT may look like the Batmobile, but the Ady Gil is the latest weapon in the fight against Antarctic whaling.

Two weeks from now, deep in Antarctic waters, the Japanese whaling fleet will encounter a new and terrifying adversary.

Bearing down on them at 40 knots will come a 24-metre carbon fibre stealth boat blaring Maori-inspired war cries through a 9000 watt speaker system.

The "amazing boat" is the latest addition to the Sea Shepherd Society's protest fleet, thanks to a $1 million donation from US multi-millionaire Ady Gil.

"In the past the Steve Irwin has only been fast enough to keep up with the processing ship the Nissan Maru but not the harpooners, we can keep up with the harpoon vessels," he said.

"It's effectively a stealth boat. Made of carbon, with carbon flecks in the paint - you can have a big boat with a 20 kilowatt radar 400 metres away and they won't see you."

A RECENTLY divorced woman was stunned when she spotted Jesus - on her IRON.

Mary Jo Coady spotted the image last week while doing a load of ironing.

And she says the stunning resemblance to Jesus Christ has reassured her that "life is going to be good."

The 44-year-old Catholic said the image looks just like Jesus and proves "he's listening."

She said she won't be using the iron any more and plans to purchase a new one.

Robbie Williams wants NT property so he can hunt UFOs

BRITISH pop god Robbie Williams is on the lookout for a new property in the Northern Territory Outback so he has a good base to hunt Unidentified Flying Objects.

The global megastar arrived in Sydney this week with his actress girlfriend Ayda Field.

Williams - a noted UFO buff - has hinted he is keen on a property in the Outback and last month revealed Field had a "premonition" she would end up in Australia.

Lew Farkas, the owner of the Holiday Park in Wycliffe Well in Central Australia - a world-famous UFO hotspot - said an associate of Williams' had visited his park.

Mr Farkas said his property - on the market since last year - would be perfect for Williams.

Williams claims to have seen UFOs at least three times.

Territory UFO spotter Alan Ferguson said Williams would have a field day in the NT.

A KIWI mum has entertained a court room by admitting she played Bach to her cannabis plants to help them grow.

The mother-of-four grew 20 dope plants in a specially-decorated secret den that was decked out with pretty pictures of shiny plants and a stereo playing "nice classical music".

Zarah Murphy, 29, from the North Island town of New Plymouth, told the court through her lawyer that the photographs and soothing sounds were designed to help "nurture" her crop.

Commenting on the unusual set-up, Judge Allan Roberts told the court: "She must be smoking a hell of a lot," to chuckles from those in court.

But the judge appeared to take pity on the single mother, who suffers post traumatic stress disorder, saying it was not his job to lecture Murphy about her responsibilities as a mother.

She was sentenced to 250 hours' community work for her crimes, the Taranaki Daily News reported.

Lovers caught romping in clock tower

WELL, it's one way to get noticed on Broadway: Two daring young lovers have been caught having sex at the top of Sydney's historic clock tower.

Extraordinary pictures obtained by the Daily Telegraph show the couple apparently giving each other a number of very special hugs against the balcony underneath the giant clock across the road from Broadway Shopping Centre, near the University of Sydney, at 3.30pm on Friday.

The pair were in full view of the busy street below and almost seemed to be deliberately on display, soon attracting a crowd of onlookers.

The pictures were taken by a bystander from a bus stop across the road, where people were pointing and laughing at the twosome.

"From the looks of it, the couple did seem to know they could be seen and seemed complete unfazed."

It has been suggested that the two may have been students staying at the UniLodge below and gained access via the roof - however their identity remains a mystery.
