Dunn county deputies say the driver of this SUV was driving on 970th Street South of Elk Mound when they think he swerved to miss a rabbit, hit a culvert, went airborne, crossed the road and rolled three or four times.

The driver sustained minor injuries, much to the chagrin of the evil rabbit who tried to kill him. This is a warning people. It’s the beginning of the end. The rabbits are coming, and they are pissed.

Their hometown of Fort Atkinson was devastated by the loss of the father and son Saturday after a man accused of drunken driving smashed into their car while they were on their way to a Milwaukee Bucks game. They died at the scene.

"I wish there was a bigger, badder word for devastated so you could understand," Wermeling said, struggling to speak through her sobs.

But the profile of hunger in America is multifaceted, as diverse as the nation itself, especially in these times of economic hardship.

Advocates for the poor, as well as those on federal assistance, hope President Obama's economic stimulus plan will increase food stamp payments. Found myself amazed by the size of my house, for example. There are a lot of people in China, and they live, on the whole, in much smaller places than mine. (Actually, that's probably true of most of the world: it takes a certain idiocy to want to live in an Addams Family House in the first place). But having, over the last month, met a number of families in which several generations lived in one apartment, spread over -- or squeezed into -- a couple of rooms, it seems really strange to have so much space.

Almost one-third of U.S. parents have a surprisingly low-level knowledge of typical infant development and unrealistic expectations for their child's physical, social and emotional growth, according research from the University of Rochester.

Moms and dads often misinterpret behaviors -- some parents expect too much of babies too soon and grow frustrated; others underestimate their child's abilities, preventing them from learning on their own.

Still, even when controlling for maternal age, education, income and mental state (e.g., depression), low-level knowledge of infant development still significantly and independently predicted parents being both less likely to enjoy healthy interactions with their infants during learning tasks and less likely to engage their children in regular enrichment activities

ATLANTA - The U.S. breast-feeding rate has hit its highest mark in at least 20 years with more than three-quarters of new moms nursing their infants, according to a government report released Wednesday.

Experts attributed the rise to education campaigns that emphasize that breast milk is better than formula at protecting babies against disease and childhood obesity. A changing culture that accommodates nursing mothers may also be a factor.

In Kalish's initial sample of 1,000 lost-and-found lovers, ages 18 to 95, nearly three-quarters remained together after a decade of study.
