15-Year-Old Boy Starts Own Chocolate Making Factory

A 15-year-old boy with dyslexia has set up own chocolate making factory to meet increased demand for his sweet creations.

After being diagnosed with dyslexia dyspraxia, Louis Barnett left school at the age of 11 for home tutoring and in the process discovered a passion for chocolate making.

This turned into a business opportunity as Louis started receiving contracts from major supermarkets in England.

From humble beginnings in the family garage the company has now moved to a full-fledged factory which employs his parents and home tutor along with three full-time and two part-time staff.

The young chocolatier, who is gaining qualifications in chocolate making, has also been nominated for a young entrepreneur award in a national competition.

The name of his firm, Chokolit, is how Louis used to spell chocolate because of his dyslexia.

Babies used as mops could save money

With global financial markets in turmoil parents looking in to firing their cleaners and using their babies as human mops.

Parents fed up of the take, take, take attitude of babies are turning them into human mops so they can learn a 'healthy work ethic' early by cleaning the floor as they crawl around.

Michael Phelps Returns To His Tank At Sea World

ORLANDO—Fourteen-time Olympic gold medalist and SeaWorld main attraction Michael Phelps returned to his seven-million-gallon water tank Wednesday to resume his normal schedule of performing in six shows a day for marine park crowds every day of the week.

Phelps, the 6'4", 200-pound aquatic mammal, and the first ever SeaWorld swimmer to be raised in captivity by foster swimmers (Mark Spitz and Dara Torres), was recaptured by trainer Bob Bowman in a hoop net baited with an entire Dutch apple pie following Phelps' final Olympic event last Sunday. Phelps was then tethered to the rudder of a container ship bound for St. Petersburg, guided down local waterways, and introduced back into his home habitat, the tank in SeaWorld's 5,500 seat stadium, known to park officials and visitors alike as "Phelps' Happy Harbor."

In a shipyard in New Orleans, survivors of one disaster are building a monument to another

Bringing together America’s two great calamities of the 21st century, the USS New York is being built in New Orleans with 24 tonnes of steel taken from the collapsed World Trade Centre.

There is no shortage of scrap metal in New Orleans these days, but the girders taken from Ground Zero have been treated with a reverence usually accorded to religious relics. After a brief ceremony in 2003, about seven tonnes of steel were melted down and poured into a cast to make the bow section of the ship’s hull.

Some shipworkers say the hairs stood up on the backs of their necks the first time they touched it. Others have postponed their retirement so they can be part of the project.
