Gah! The most powerful earthquake in Australian history—December 28, 1989, magnitude 5.6, epicenter Newcastle, New South Wales, killed 13 people, $3.5 billion damage—was caused by human beings! Too much coal mining (coal..Newcastle...heh) which apparently uncorked a local fault line. Salient bits from Richard A. Lovett's interesting article at National Geographic Online:

Tags: environment

<clipSource>http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/2007/01/people_can_caus.html</clipSource>

70 million people in one place.
Over 70 million people are expected to attend a Hindu spiritual event in northern India called the Maha Kumbh Mela. The pilgrims gather at a sacred location on the Ganges River, 15 kilometres from Allahabad, for more than a month of bathing rituals. The activities are intended to wash away their sins and hasten the Hindu people's progress toward nirvana.

Good if it happens.

Clip Source: syncmycal.blogspot.com

Here is a list of upcoming features/changes that we are currently working on:

Increase the limit of the Sync window in SyncMyCal Lite from 3 to 6 - yes, we figured 3 days is way too little for proper usability, so now in the Lite version, you can Sync up to 6 days. Of course, if you want to sync without a limit, you can buy the professional version.

Syncing with PDA/Phones with Windows Mobile on them.

Better Installers - we feel the current ones are not good enough, and the install should really be just One-Click

Also, we might begin working on allowing SyncMyCal to integrate with 30Boxes. So, when we release that, you will be able to use the same tool with two of the most popular online calendar services: GCal and 30Boxes.
