Here are the steps you should follow if you want to upgrade one Fedora Core release (for example Fedora Core 3 to Fedora Core 4).

# Make sure all repo files(base, updates, extras) are in place
# Make sure all repositoryes are reacheable
# Download & install the new fedora release files

# Upgrade the system with Yum

Google Toolbar 3.0 For Firefox Released-Adds Great Features

Last night Google released a new version of its toolbar for Firefox users. The update, still in beta status, brings the same functionality found in the Internet Explorer version of the Google Toolbar to Firefox users.

Some of those features include:

Access bookmarks from any computer
Add custom buttons to the toolbar
Share webpages via Blogger, Gmail, or SMS
Feed subscription
Search suggestions
Spell-checker for web forms
Translation
Search term highlighter
Form autofill

In addition, a new feature unique to the Firefox version of the toolbar lets you open documents and files online in Google Docs & Spreadsheets with a single click. No more having to download files and upload them to Docs & Spreadsheets to view them.

The toolbar is available for Firefox 1.5 or higher and works with Windows XP/2000 SP3+, Mac OS X 10.2+, and Linux. An Internet Explorer version is also available but lacks the new Docs & Spreadsheet feature.

For $10 per year, the price of a domain via Google Apps includes private registration to protect your personal information. Google’s new domain service automatically configures everything so your domain name instantly works with all of the services available through Google Apps for Your Domain, and offers full control of your domain settings, so you can use your domain for other services not provided by Google.

Google has kept its focus on effective communications over a variety of options. They have noted ever since the launch of the Apps service that a premium version will become available in the future. And this domain registration too is very good-

You get Gmail web email(2 GB, 200 aliases), Google Calendar shared calendaring, Google Talk instant messaging, Google Page Creator web page creation tools, and the Start Page feature for creating a personalized home page for users on your domain-Google Apps for Your Domain.
You domain is registered as private meaning your contact information won’t be available on the whois public database. Other companies charge upto $8 for this feature alone.

In case of domains, the companies tempt you to buy extra email / private registrations / yearly renewals, etc. A non-techie person can easily be confused with these options and may end up paying $100 for something which we could have otherwise purchased for $9.99.

Enter Google, they have made the whole process of web domain registrations as simple as the layout of their search homepage. And yes, French Fries are automatically included with the order at no extra cost.

Okay peeps, I’m sure most of you know how to use Limewire and Bittorrent these days. But, I’ll bet you haven’t used Google to perform a quick Mp3 search for the nagging song that’s been stuck in your head all day. The truth is that Google can be used to conduct a search for almost any file type, including Mp3s, PDFs, and videos. This functionality has been available for a long time, but most users haven’t caught on to it. So here’s a quick example of how to use Google to search for Mp3s. It’s like turning Google into the Napster of 2000.

The following is a Google search string for searching open web directories containing downloadable Nirvana music files. Substitute the term Nirvana in the search string for any other band of your liking. You can always bookmark the search result for future use.

With some very slight modifications the same search string can easily be used to search for ebooks in DOC and PDF format:
