Spooky lights spotted over Teignmouth have freaked out some locals.

There were dozens of reports about the strange, whitish-coloured shapes moving up and down the estuary early on Monday evening.Was it extra terrestrials, or did the objects in the sky have a simpler, down-to-earth explanation such as lasers?

"The white lights changes shaped, moved very fast and would suddenly disappear, only to return a few minutes later.

"I don't believe in UFOs or flying saucers, but this was very strange, and made me feel a little bit uneasy.

The Lost Gold of Devils Tower

Legend tells of a cavern filled with gold.

Near the northeast corner of Wyoming is a striking mountain of igneous rock that looks like a gigantic tree-stump.

Because it is so unusual in its appearance the tower has figured into many Native American legends and in 1977 it was used as the location for the finale of Steven Speilberg's film Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Years ago a resident

showed a picture of Devils Tower to some elderly Sioux Indians he met. One of them got very excited when he saw the picture.

"Has a passageway been found at the base of the tower?" he asked.

Many years before three braves had been hunting near the tower. While exploring the rocks at the base of the mountain, they discovered a passageway underneath it.

Singapore (AHN) - The strange exorcism case of Madam Amutha Valli, part-time tutor, former national athlete, will resume six more weeks of hearings in April after a 12-day marathon trial that ended Friday and has gripped Singapore's imagination for over a week.

Valli, 51, is seeking compensation from two Redemptorist priests and six church members for an alleged exorcism ritual she claims was forced on her at the Novena church in 2004.

Confronted with medical records and doctors notes that suggested that Valli was unhappy with her family, spouse Suppiah Jeyabal, a taxi driver, insisted his wife may be under the influence of "mind-altering" drugs that were being tested on her to treat her trance, and that doctors could have misinterpreted what she was saying, Channel News Asia reported.

Valli had told doctors Jeyabal had asked her to pretend to have gone mad to get early retirement benefits

Mexican jumping beans are about the size of a kernel of corn or a small bean. They do not wear sombreros. They do not jump into the air. They rock, or, on occasion, scoot a millimeter or two. Imagine a kernel of corn that scoots a millimeter in one direction every 15 seconds or so -- that's about as exciting as jumping beans get.

The thing that makes these beans jump is a tiny moth larvae that lives inside the bean. The moth lays its eggs in the flower of the plant, and the eggs are incorporated into the seeds. The larvae then eat out the interior of the bean and live there. When the larvae move, so does the bean. Eventually, the larvae turn into moths that emerge from the beans to repeat the cycle.
