I live in a western European country. We pay higher taxes, yes indeed we do! … BUT we ALL have healthcare. From cradle to grave, that is taken care of. You need, help? You’ll get it. From the homeless to the rich. Here, we are EQUAL in that regard. It CAN be done, to provide universal healthcare to your citizens, without that meaning you all of a sudden are “communists” and without necessarily affecting your quality of life, to the negative.

We ALL get free education. If you mind your schooling, even a pauper, can become a doctor. The deciding factor is not money. In fact, they pay US to go to school. (Higher education is encouraged) We live longer. Our infant mortality rate is lower. We are all-round healthier.

Get yourselves together with all that healthcare shit. It makes America look bad, so many of your citizens are homeless, living in poverty and dying from lack of healthcare. It’s just not…civilized.

People in Central America were drinking beverages made from cacao before 1000 BC, hundreds of years earlier than once thought, a new study shows

People were enjoying chocolate 3000 years ago, but in the form of alcoholic brews or beers drunk at births and weddings

early cacao beverages were probably alcoholic brews, or beers, made from the fermented pulp of the cacao fruit

These beverages were around 500 years earlier than the frothy chocolate-flavored drink made from the seed of the cacao tree that was such an important feature of later Mesoamerican culture

in brewing this primitive beer, or chicha, the ancient Mesoamericans may have stumbled on the secret to making chocolate-flavoured drinks

"In the course of beer brewing, you discover that if you ferment the seeds of the plant you get this chocolate taste," says John Henderson, a professor of anthropology at Cornell University

Having a beer after exercise could do you more good than drinking water, a new study suggests.

Beer can help someone who has sweat regan liquid better than water, the bubbles help to quench thirst and the carbohydrate in beer help replace lost calories, Spanish researchers say.

The study results came from testing 25 college students asked to do strenous exercises in 104-degree temperatures. They were then split into two groups, one given beer and other water to help them recover. The tests were conducted over several months.

The hydration effect in those who drank beer was "slightly better" than those who drank water, said study leader, professor Manuel Garzon of Granada University.

The results have been met with some scepticism as previous studies have shown most alcoholic drinks increase the amount of liquid lost through urination.
