A PROP OF FEAR! This party of disservice has no shame and they will go on and on lying, misconstruing and whatever it takes to keep power. They care not for this land that so many have died for. They live, breath and sustain only with one objective, to stay on the course of power whether or not they destroy the very thing they wish to control. It's time for all who THINK, who truly want the best for our country because we know it will belong to so many who will come long after us, to say ENOUGH! If this actually does not happen this election time around we may be a country so weakened by the avaricious blunders of the right-wing, we will become easy pickings for the power brutes of the world. Our epitaph will read... HERE LIES A ONCE POWERFUL, PROUD COUNTRY, BROUGHT DOWN BY THE UNSCRUPULOUS, WHO LIVED UPON ITS VERY SOIL, WHILE TURNING IT TO STONE. thinkingblue.blogspot.com

Clip Source: thinkingblue.blogspot.com

<IMG

Here we are again being sucked into the McCain's version of this same Zone. Where the HELL is reality? McCain's pick of Sarah Palin is almost as troubling as a W. Bush second win. After proving himself totally incompetent with his first 4 years, the US people gave him the majority vote to rule for another 4 years. I know the rest of the world must think of us as Nut Cases. And we deserved the title! Sarah Palin is as nutty as a Jerry Falwell, the "man" who had babbled "AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals; it's God's punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals." AND, "The idea that religion and politics don't mix was invented by the Devil to keep Christians from running their own country." ALSO, "Good Christians, like slaves and soldiers, ask no questions." However, IT was an INTEGRAL PART OF A MONEY-HUNGRY WALL ST. CULTURE that helped build, oil and maintain the securitization and SPIN-OFFS, underlying the current mortgage-fueled problems.

The financial crisis has swirled around the White House in more violent waves. But each sign of economic trouble brought assurances from regulators, Mr. Paulson and others in the Bush adm. that the housing sector was experiencing a “CORRECTION” or a “REPRICING OF RISK” (ROVE-NEWSPEAK) that would work its way through the system without throwing the economy into a steep downturn. Each assurance soon ran aground as more bad economic news poured in.
(MOTHER OF ALL SELF-RIGHTEOUS QUOTES) "the real problem facing Wall Street was a welter of cumbersome regulations" - Henry Paulson (Yew recon HE LEARNED SOMEthang)

Clip Source: www.gainesville.com

Paulson Jr. hadn’t left Wall Street for Washington to become
Treasury secretary in 2006, he would still be making tens of millions of dollars
a year as the chairman of Goldman Sachs. He would be comfortably zipping around
the globe on a corporate jet.

He wouldn’t be at the center of the Bush administration’s struggle to contain a
potential financial meltdown the likes of which the world hasn’t seen since the
Great Depression.

Whether Mr. Paulson has actually done the right things during his two uneven
years in office has been a matter of intense debate in financial and political
circles

debate reached a boiling point last week as Congress moved toward approval of a
taxpayer-financed rescue package that Mr. Paulson advocated for Fannie Mae and

I thought, he's not just another crackpot trying to sell a crackpot book, he is serious. Bush lied us into an illegal war and thus far, nothing, but words has happened to him and his crew. Is this reality? A reality that allows Bush to go scot-free for so many crimes. With no one not one group to point a finger and demand he pay for his misdeeds. Without a doubt, Bush, appears to be one who IS above the law. Not only is he above the law, he gets help to get away with his transgression. (namely: the FISA vote).... We are, most of us anyway, holding our breaths to see this sad excuse for a man leave the highest office, once and for all. But is that enough? I hope Bugliosi, one of the greatest prosecutors of our time, will not rest until he sees justice served upon George W. Bush. While living through years of the worst president the US has had at the helm, I could identify the enemy or the Bush supporters by their Bush/Neocon fraternity pins. And I could direct my anger even before the Bushy sycophants opened their bombastic collective rhetorical pie-holes and blather the some ole, same ole. So the flag label pin had become a symbol of pretentious superciliousness to me. Of course, with Obama pandering to the "R's" and the "I's" who voted for Dubya and helped ruin our country and make us a laughing stock all over the world (Remember the headline from the UK’s Daily Mirror: How Can 1,230,065 People Be So Dumb?) may have a little to do with the Obama Fade From Grace. But that PIN is all I see when this eloquent orator takes center stage and its glare has a blinding effect on the reflection of the man behind that "R" studded brooch.

Clip Source: www.newsweek.com

Glow Fading?

Will we ever see the WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH again? I am hopeful we will if Obama is elected, but I will say a jubilant Good Riddance to them all, come January 2009, no matter who is elected! thinkingblue.blogspot.com

Clip Source: www.youtube.com

The Redacting Of Thomas Jefferson

It looks like The Bush Team (with a little help from the Neocon speech
writers) are Cherry Picking again.

This time it's Thomas Jefferson's words that are on the chopping block...
Bush sputtered, on the 4th of July, one of Jefferson's last quotes, to the few
who still think 'HE'S DOING A GOOD JOB'. But he left out the following passage:
"under which monkish ignorance and superstition had persuaded them to bind
themselves"...

Interesting, that he chose to leave out such words. I
wonder if he thinks, that's a bit too close for comfort, of what he thinks of
his unquestioning followers. We must redact the quote, don't want to hurt our
standings with the base... No big deal, after all that's what we do best...
Redact, remake, alter, amend, change, modify, overhaul, redo and revise, "THE
TRUTH", so it will fit nicely into our Neocon secret and devious plans.

Bush. I don't know what his strategy is all about but do we really want another term of the neocons and Bush? I think not! Perhaps, he is banking on another 9/11 or something to shock Americans into the same fear-hold Karl Rove and the rest of the neocon manipulators had on the people...You know that PNAC group (which has since shut down their site...hmmm I wonder why, does rats overboard mean anything?) But, the PNAC in order to unleash their foreign/military campaigns needed a catalyzing event like "a new Pearl Harbor". (neocon quote) 9/11 rode to their rescue. Now they were able to Pied Piper all the little frightened children into the black hole of hell. But their utopian plan did not work out so well. Maybe they need another Pearl Harbor because it seems the little children have lost some of their fear and may need a booster shot. How much more can we take? I considered him a real leader. So even though I disagreed with him on many issues, I saw in him somebody who genuinely wanted to bring about reform and somebody with a real independence streak. So it was really sad for me to see him be willing to sell his soul to become president of the United States. And the fact that he had told me at a dinner in 2000 in the presence of other people, who have corroborated, it seems, that he did not vote for George Bush, is really a perfect indication of who John McCain was in 2000 and why so many people, including so many in the media, fell in love with him. This was a man who was so independent and so abhorred George Bush, whom he described as dangerous... Well the 4 lackeys' did just that, 2 of which he appointed himself, the others, one his Daddy's choice and the other (he wished he was his daddy) Reagan's. Good ole Reagan appointed Anthony Scalia, (Scalia on capital punishment: "Death is no big deal" {unless of course it's his or his loved ones} - Hypocrisy to the highest degree!) did Bush's bidding just like a good little justice was suppose to do. But the tie breaker was Kennedy (Justice Anthony Kennedy acknowledged the terrorism threat the country faces — the administration's justification for the detentions — but he declared, "THE LAWS AND THE CONSTITUTION ARE DESIGNED TO SURVIVE AND REMAIN IN FORCE, IN EXTRAORDINARY TIMES!") Thank all that is good that Reagan slipped up on this nomination, when he nominated a THINKER to the Supreme Court.
