John Sidney McCain III and George Walker Bush both represent the third generation of American dynasties. Both were born into positions of privilege against which they rebelled into mediocrity. Both developed an uncanny social intelligence that allowed them to skate by with a minimum of mental exertion. Both struggled with booze and loutish behavior. At each step, with the aid of their fathers' powerful friends, both failed upward. And both shed their skins as Episcopalian members of the Washington elite to build political careers as self-styled, ranch-inhabiting Westerners who pray to Jesus in their wives' evangelical churches.
Rolling Stone Link: http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/make_believe_maverick_the_real_john_mccain

Also On: http://www.thethinkingblue.com/MCPAIN.html

Clip Source: thinkingblue.blogspot.com

Is there a skeleton in John McCain's POW closet?

The Rolling Stone has an article called "Make-Believe Maverick"

<A

(Huh?)

The shortness part,
isn't why I am blogging this. Because I could care less if McCain is touchy
about his lack of tallness. What I did find interesting was in the comment
section, at the bottom of the webpage. A comment made by an ex-Air Force
officer, who remarked about John McCain's POW HERO status and lack there of. Now
I don't know if this ex-Air Force officer knew John McCain or not. But
never-the-less, it raises a lot of suspicion about Maverick McCain's Hero Rank.
I can't help but wonder, why the Obama Camp doesn't seem interested in using it,
the same way the NASTY ONES, on the other side of the political arena would...

He destroyed 5 airplanes, admitted that he was a "gambler" when he flew; went in alone on a Hanoi target when the bombing run was being called off; and then tried to "outrun" a SAM missile. Things got SO bad that none of his fellow officers wanted to fly with him and he was being re-evaluated for removal from flying status when he was shot down. Words like "reckless", "intemperate" and "lacks common sense" were part of the lexicon of John McCain, naval pilot. I don't mind the "confessions" while he was a POW, that was pretty much SOP, but what I DO mind is that his so-called "selflessness" when he "refused" to accept early release was anything but...he WAS offered early release because of his family connections, but was ORDERED not to accept it! And now, his never-ending use of his "heroism" as if he'd actually been one.
A new Rolling Stone article demolishes John McCain's self-anointed maverick
status. He was a bad pilot who benefited greatly from his family's Navy lineage.
As a POW, he confessed to his torturers. He cheated on both wives and has an
uncontrollable temper. Also, John McCain is touchy about his small stature.
Sayeth the Stone:

"McCain is sensitive about his physical appearance, especially his height. The

Some people speculate that McCain is actually five-feet-seven, <A

I wonder why that is...? OK, he was a POW, captured by an "enemy" of our government. But why should that give him a one-upmanship over Obama... as far as fair reporting is concerned? Maybe corporate media has more to gain under republican rule or maybe it's just that they fear a McCain attack because they've taken note of how McMean and his Cold-Hearted-VP pick's, mean-spirited, hateful innuendoes launched against Obama have stirred the "Republican base of loathing", to get "physical" with any contrived foe. I believe it's both but they've got the case of the willies when it comes to the ornery right-wing mentality, knowing they might band together and threaten not to buy the goods their sponsors hawk!

Clip Source: mediamatters.org

Media Matters: The media's enduring pro-McCain double standard

wisdom is that the news media have turned on Sen. John McCain. After all,
decades of attacks from conservatives have conditioned reporters to believe that
they are biased against Republicans -- even when there is scant evidence in the
reporting to support such claims. And the McCain campaign has launched an
all-out assault on the media, complaining relentlessly about the coverage its
candidate has gotten.

McCain historically has been the recipient of the most favorable media coverage

She doesn't give them facts, she gives them the red-meat they lust for. I'm sure most, can remember people like Palin, in high school. The bubbly types, who dub anyone who doesn't fit their interpretation of what's "IN", a pariah. Yes, they have a blueprint of what is "IN", the right style, a snooty air, a superficial manner will get you, "IN". As bad as this exclusivity is, it could be tolerated if they also had a "live and let live" attitude. But unfortunately, anyone who crosses their path, who's not "IN" they will socially banish. They do this, by falsely labeling, and contriving suspicions of any non-"IN", creating an impression that something is shockingly wrong with anyone who, by their calculations, cannot be part of their "IN" crowd. But what's most perplexing is... It's one thing to behave like this in a state of childhood but carried into adulthood? Mind boggling!

Clip Source: seattlepi.nwsource.com

Palin's ascension shows GOP's lack of interest in governing

JAY BOOKMAN

Republican Party has held the White House for the past eight years and has

Her rallies are about hate and are beginning to show it. The Palin crowds are starting to shout ugly, disgusting verbalizations hurled towards Obama i.e. KILL HIM! OFF WITH HIS HEAD! HE'S TREASONOUS!

Palin and McCain should be arrested and put in prison for SLANDER because they are inciting riotous notions in their followers by advocating hate. today falling below 10,000 for the first time since 2004. So whatever
scare-tactic Sarah Palin used this past weekend telling those gathered that
Obama palled around with a domestic terrorist should and must fall flat on its
face as Americans are hit by a financial bomb that will affect each and everyone
of us.

A few weeks ago, John McCain said of the economy that it was
fundamentally strong and reading this report, I am left to ask: Is this the man
we need leading the country come November 4th? This personal terrorism we are
all feeling is one of his own making since he and Gramm set the stage for it and
I cannot stress that enough. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, McCain!

READ MORE HERE: <A

Especially, those who proclaim that their religion keeps them on the straight and narrow. Listening to the disgusting rhetoric these Shock Jockeys spew forth creates barbarity in those who refuse to think... When minds are so full of the nonsense from the right-wing creeps, who's only objective is to make money and control the masses, they tend to wreck havoc upon the innocent. (case-in-point, the pathetic nut who went on a shooting rampage at the UU church in TN.) We are all in the same boat. We love and want peace so why look upon each other as though we are just pockets of vermin. Haven't we had enough HATE? I guess there are some who would answer NO, because they live for aversion. Here's a little advice for DITTO-HEADS, you can live in peace, it's really quite simple, just turn your damn radios off and have a nice day.

Clip Source: www.youtube.com

The Right-Wing Talk Radio Hate Shows

This video was only a sample of the great Bill Moyers Journal show, Friday

I swear these people, the Republican people, who run elections have no soul. I know, sadly, there's enough dirty tricks to go around in all the political persuasions. But the Repubs really know how to pull off the dirtiest of dirty tricks, without blinking an eye! I wonder why that is? Is it because they believe rules and laws are meaningless when it comes to getting their party the winning prize? Or maybe they just have been mentally brainwashed and have become barbarian brutes, due to using, low blows for so long they can't tell RIGHT from WRONG any longer? I believe it's the latter, with also, quite a bit of truth in the former. Read about how they (repubs) wish to use the house addresses of those unfortunate individuals who have had their shelters, their family homes, confiscated by foreclosure, so they would be disqualified from voting because they no longer lived at such address. Calling it disgusting is way too mild.

Clip Source: www.crooksandliars.com

McCain Would Think The Voting Rolls Are Fundamentally Sound, Too…If They’re Purged Of Foreclosed Homeowners - UPDATED

 Michigan Messenger:

Last week we reported about Republican plans to use home foreclosure lists to block voters from the polls after James Carabelli, chair of the Macomb County Republican Party, told Michigan Messenger that on election day Republican volunteers will “have a list of foreclosed homes and make sure people aren’t voting from those addresses.”

the party would use returned mail to challenge voters based on residency

Allen Raymond

ran a phone-jamming operation aimed at blocking elderly people from arranging
