One person had experienced a head ache for 10 years after a car accident. For each person, using 5-10 minutes of EFT, they were able to completely relieve the neck and back pain associated with the whiplash. (Bet the car and medical insurance companies want to know about EFT now!)

If you have ever experience a car accident or similar trauma to neck and spine be sure to apply EFT to the memory even if you have no obvious symptoms. Your body remembers the trauma and may still be compensating. They watch less television, says author Clay Shirky in a fantastic, brief talk at the recent Web 2.0 conference. Shirky makes a compelling case that people are just learning how to deal with the "cognitive surplus" of free time modern life affords us. We're waking up from the "collective bender" of mindlessly watching sitcoms and instead, we're choosing instead to spend our free time volunteering, interacting, and Web 2.0'ing online. Hit the play button to watch Shirky make his case for the full effect, or hit the link below to read the text transcript of his talk. Next time your TV-watching friends make fun of you for opting to blog instead, point 'em to this talk.

Tags: television, internet, social surplus

<clipSource>http://www.lifehacker.com.au/#</clipSource>

Clearing Allergies with EFT

clipped by: thetappingman

Clip Source: www.tap4health.com

Clearing Allergies with EFT

Allergies have been described as "a phobia of the immune system". Given how effective EFT is at clearing phobias, it's a small step to using EFT to clear allergies.

One of the best ways I know to clear an allergy with EFT is to have the thing your allergic to, the allergen, physically in your presence while tapping. With a client who was allergic to wheat, we used wheat flour and held it in a glass while they tapped. Remember, if you are allergic to the touch of the something, protect yourself from it initially until you feel comfortable testing direct contact.

I'll give a very basic procedure here. For more detailed information, the EFT DVD Set EFT Speciality Series 2 contains two in-depth presentations on using EFT for allergies.

Tags: allergies, food allergies, food, eft, tap4health, rod sherwin, emotional freedom technique

<clipSource>http://www.tap4health.com/news-archive/2007/allergies-eft-wheat-sugar-dairy.html</clipSource>

Striving: When is it enough?

clipped by: thetappingman

Clip Source: www.tap4health.com

Striving is that feeling that you have to have more, do more, or be more. It's that feeling that just over the hill is the pot of gold and if you can just push on for a little longer you will receive the rewards. We can end up striving because of delayed gratification. That principle that says you can't be happy until...

So when are you allowed to feel happy? When is it Ok to stop and enjoy the moment? When is what you've done enough? When are you allowed to feel that you are enough?

Self improvement can be a similar striving trap: "I just need to read one more book, attend one more seminar, learn one more technique and then I'll be ... enough? For what?"

I found this feeling of striving manifested in my body with shin splints. That painful feeling in the front of your shins that makes it very painful to run and even walk. My brain wanted to go faster, to be somewhere ahead of me now, but my body wouldn't cooperate.

Here's how to apply EFT to the causes of striving.

Tags: striving, want more, be more, self improvement, eft, tap4health

<clipSource>http://www.tap4health.com/news-archive/2008/striving-eft.html</clipSource>

Autism: There is a cure!

clipped by: thetappingman
clipper's remarks: This story is amazing and should be headlines everywhere!

Clip Source: articles.mercola.com

How Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy's Son Recovered From Autism

Carrey and McCarthy’s son, Evan, has been healed thanks to breakthroughs that may not be scientifically proven, but have definitely helped, such as a gluten-free, casein-free diet, vitamin supplementation, detox of metals, and anti-fungals for the yeast overgrowths that plagued his intestines. Once his neurological function was recovered through these medical treatments, speech therapy and applied behavior analysis helped him learn the skills he could not learn while he was frozen in autism.

Tags: autism, alternative health, health, mental health

<clipSource>http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2008/04/24/how-jim-carrey-and-jenny-mccarthy-s-son-recovered-from-autism.aspx?source=nl</clipSource>

Anger Management with th Emotional Freedom Techniques

clipped by: thetappingman
clipper's remarks: Energy Therapist Rod Sherwin shares a personal story about using EFT to clear anger patterns.

Clip Source: www.tap4health.com

Anger Management with EFT

We all have a pattern of anger. Some of us express it when it is still small. Some of us suppress it deep inside fighting to maintain control of it, too scared to express it, and instead we experience it as disease.

And some of us, me included, bottle it up until it bursts out like a volcano surprising everyone around us with the intensity because we had not even given a hint that anything was wrong.

Here I present a longer EFT script that I hope will help you as it did me to change your anger pattern. After decades of repression, Tibetans are crying out to the world for change. China's leaders are right now making a crucial choice between escalating brutality or dialogue that could determine the future of Tibet, and China.

We can affect this historic choice -- China does care about its international reputation. But it will take an avalanche of global people power to get the government's attention. The Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, has called for restraint and dialogue: he needs the world's people to support him. Fill out the form below to sign the petition--and spread the word.

Tags: tibet, dalai lama, china, olympic games

<clipSource>http://www.avaaz.org/en/tibet_end_the_violence/</clipSource>

True cause of heart attacks: not what you think

clipped by: thetappingman

Clip Source: articles.mercola.com

Do you think you know what causes heart attacks?

In this video, Dr. David Holt, the leading U.S. physician in German New Medicine, explains that the conventional explanation for heart attacks may not be accurate at all. Conflicts involving territorial loss -- such as losing a family member, your home, or your financial stability -- cause changes in the coronary arteries of all animals -- including humans.

And as Dr. Holt explains, those changes very often lead to heart attacks -- days or even weeks after your conflict has been resolved.

prescribed in Australia found they worked no better than a placebo
for mildly depressed patients and most people suffering severe
depression. The study, which used research on drugs, including
Prozac, Efexor and Aropax, that drug firms had not previously
released, has been applauded by experts for its scope and
integrity.

Researchers, led by Professor Irving Kirsch from the University
of Hull in Britain, analysed 47 clinical trials using data released
under freedom of information rules by the US Food and Drug
Administration. Their research was published in Public Library
of Science (Medicine). It showed the efficacy of
antidepressants on some severely depressed people was only
demonstrated by their decreased response to a placebo, rather than
increased responsiveness to the drug.

Tags: depression, antidepressants

<clipSource>http://www.theage.com.au/news/health/antidepressants-ineffective-study/2008/02/26/1203788399749.html</clipSource>

Money problem? Sure I've change careers and my lifestyle is wonderful but in terms of actual balance sheet... no much change. Of course, I have done lots of processes around clearing limiting beliefs, past life vows, languages, incantations, affirmations, you name it.

So I asked myself a solution-focused question: "How would I know, even a little bit, that my financial situation was improving? Then a thought to the fish market that processed the catch. Then to the factory that canned the fish. Then to the truck drivers who tranported the fish to my grocery store. The shelf fillers who put the cans on the shelf. The check out attendant who served me.

Doing this appreciation at each meal, I have noticed two things. Firstly, I appreciate what I eat a lot more and feel connected to a much wider world around me. Secondly, I usually muscle test what supplements I need to take each day and I noticed a distinct drop in the amount of supplements that my body wanted now that I was appreciating my food.

Tags: grace, appreciation, thank your food, saying grace, tap4health

<clipSource>http://rodsherwin.gaia.com/blog/2008/2/save_on_supplements_thank_your_food</clipSource>
