Genetically modified corn is used to create high fructose corn syrup, flavors, starches, flours, proteins, sugars and most of the other ingredients which make up our processed foods. The US refuses to allow the labeling of foods which contain genetically modified ingredients (like corn) to be labeled to indicate that fact so we are looking at the possibility of undeclared birth control “foods” rendering whole populations sterile. The US Government, starting with George Herbert Walker Bush, has adopted the policy that genetically modified foods are the same as unmodified ones. The sterility corn is therefore, under this policy, the same as natural corn.

If the US has its way, all such products will be acceptable for international trade without any labeling.

Military prostitution has long been seen around U.S. bases in the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, and other countries. But since the U.S. has begun to deploy forces to many Muslim countries, it cannot be as open about enabling prostitution for its personnel. U.S. military deployments in the Gulf War, the Afghan War, and the Iraq War have reinvigorated prostitution and the trafficking of women in the Middle East.

Another major change has been the reliance of the U.S. military on private contractors, who have now surpassed the number of soldiers in Iraq.

During the brief Gulf War, the U.S. military prevented prostitution for its troops in Saudi Arabia

The U.S. invasion of March 2003 brought prostitution back to Iraq within a matter of weeks.

The rebirth of prostitution has generated fear that permeates all of Iraqi society.

The war has created an enormous number of homeless girls and boys who are most vulnerable to the sex trade.

White House Homeland Security Advisor Fran Townsend was asked at a press conference earlier this week what evidence she had that Osama Bin Laden was still alive, considering the fact that he has been gravely ill and on a kidney dialysis machine while traversing the harsh terrain of the Pakistani border region. Townsend's response was to refuse to discuss the matter and immediately leave.

Poll on Cheney -- Critical Mass on Impeachment?

WASHINGTON - JULY 11 - A new poll by the American Research Group shows a majority of the U.S. public in favor of the House beginning impeachment proceedings against Vice President Cheney by a 54 to 40 percent majority. The same poll found a near tie on President George W. Bush and impeachment, with 45 percent in favor and 46 opposed to the House beginning proceedings. See Election Central.

"The Congressional leadership cannot continue to say to at least half of America, 'sorry, impeachment is off the table.' The American people are putting it back on, and we're beginning to see Congress respond.

"When Nixon fired the Watergate special prosecutor Archibald Cox, the American people said, 'enough is enough; no President is above the law.' Well, we are nearing kind of critical mass again.

"The House Judiciary Committee passed an article of impeachment against Richard Nixon for refusing to comply with subpoenas [as Bush has also refused to do].

It is time to impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney.

But now - with scarcely eighteen months left - you have no choice but to impeach Bush and Cheney regardless of the cost, because it has become increasingly clear that the very foundations of this nation have been assaulted as never before in our history, and to let that record stand would be an act of cowardice on your part and a dangerous precedent to future presidents.

The commitment to basic civil rights inherent in Bill of Rights has been violated with a cavalier arrogance unprecedented in our Nation’s history. Both the First Amendment and the Fourth Amendment have been compromised.

This has all been done under cover of a never-ending “war” which this President and Vice-president lied the country into. Indeed, to this day, they cannot articulate a real reason for embarking on this war.

Finally, this administration has played fast and loose with the most fundamental principle in a democracy: the vote.

‘Supporting the Troops’ Means Withdrawing Them

Every step the Democrats in Congress have taken to force the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq has failed. Time and again, President Bush beats them into submission with charges of failing to “support the troops.”

No U.S. forces have ever been compelled to stay in sustained combat conditions for as long as the Army units have in Iraq.

There are only two ways to fix this problem, both of which the president stubbornly rejects.

The first solution would be to expand the size of the Army to two or three times its present level, allowing shorter combat tours and much longer breaks between deployments.

The second way to alleviate the problem is to withdraw U.S. forces from Iraq as soon as possible and as securely as possible. The electorate understands this. That is why a majority of voters favor withdrawing from Iraq.

Congress clearly and indisputably has two powers over the executive: the power of the purse and the power to impeach.

Colin Powell leaks real reason for SSN

Mr. Powell during the entire interview was very confident, and spoke without hesitation throughout the entire interview excluding for a one second period, after one specific statement made by him as he was talking about the Russian peoples. When he realized the consequences of making this disclosure indirectly to the American public, he froze for a second, his eyes rolled back as he realized what he had said, and then he continued without further pause for the rest of the interview.

The quote from Mr. Powell, per the Russian Scientists that every American "NEEDS" to hear immediately is as follows:

[Colin Powell] - "Finding the Russian scientists may be a problem being that Russia does not have a Social Security System, as here in America, that allows us to MONITOR, TRACK DOWN and CAPTURE an American citizen."

Status: True.

Origins: We don't know how severe the stolen sign problem there really is, but Austria is indeed home to a town called 'Fucking' (48' 03"N 13' 51"E). Here are a few photos of the reportedly hard-to-keep signs:

The second sign carries the hilarity even further: "Bitte — nicht so schnell!" is German for "Please — not so fast!" (Evidently this type of sign is a commonplace reminder in those parts for drivers to keep their speed down to protect children, but the unintended double meaning in this case is particularly amusing.)

Norman Mineta Confirms That Dick Cheney Ordered Stand Down on 9/11

Former Transportation Secretary Disputes 9/11 Commission Report Timetable for Dick Cheney and Reveals Lynn Cheney Was Also in PEOC Bunker Before Attack

Mineta says Vice President Cheney was "absolutely" already there when he arrived at approximately 9:25 a.m. in the PEOC (Presidential Emergency Operations Center) bunker on the morning of 9/11. Mineta seemed shocked to learn that the 9/11 Commission Report claimed Cheney had not arrived there until 9:58-- after the Pentagon had been hit, a report that Mineta definitively contradicted.

Norman Mineta revealed that Lynn Cheney was also in the PEOC bunker already at the time of his arrival, along with a number of other staff.

After no shoot down took place, it became clear that Cheney intended to keep NORAD fighter jets from responding-- evidence that Cheney is guilty of treason, not negligence for allowing the Pentagon to be hit.

LOS ANGELES — The U.S. Conference of Mayors endorsed a resolution Monday calling for the Bush administration to begin planning for the swift withdrawal of troops from Iraq.

WHEREAS, The United States Conference of Mayors completely and 110 percent supports those men and women that are defending, have defended and will defend our country,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that The U.S. Conference of Mayors calls for the Administration to begin planning immediately for the swift and prudent redeployment of the US Armed Forces; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that The U.S Conference of Mayors calls for full funding of services to the brave men and women returning after service in the United States Armed Forces, including medical, psychological, housing and other support services, and support to local governments funding such services.
