‘Air Tree’ Structures in Madrid produce Oxygen and Energy

The city of Madrid soon plans to add a striking new structure that will “climatically transform” its urban architecture. Designed by Urban Ecosystems, the Air Tree pavilion is to be built from recycled materials and will be 100% energy self-sufficient. Using photovoltaic cells, the Air Tree produces a substantial amount of energy, which is then sold back to the local electric companies, the profits being used for maintenance of the structure. The second byproduct is of course oxygen - hence the name ‘Air Tree’!

The surrounding environment near the air tree will be naturally conditioned, reducing the heat island effect found in most city centers. The air trees will be implemented city wide in the coming years.

Furthermore, the structure, made from lightweight recycled materials, can be easily disassembled and moved to another site when needed.

The trees will cool the surrounding environments and as a bonus generate clean electricity.

Genetically modified corn is used to create high fructose corn syrup, flavors, starches, flours, proteins, sugars and most of the other ingredients which make up our processed foods. The US refuses to allow the labeling of foods which contain genetically modified ingredients (like corn) to be labeled to indicate that fact so we are looking at the possibility of undeclared birth control “foods” rendering whole populations sterile. The US Government, starting with George Herbert Walker Bush, has adopted the policy that genetically modified foods are the same as unmodified ones. The sterility corn is therefore, under this policy, the same as natural corn.

If the US has its way, all such products will be acceptable for international trade without any labeling.

VETERANS DISARMAMENT ACT TO BAR VETS FROM OWNING GUNS

Hundreds of thousands of veterans -- from Vietnam through Operation Iraqi Freedom -- are at risk of being banned from buying firearms if legislation that is pending in Congress gets enacted.

How? The Veterans Disarmament Act -- which has already passed the House -- would place any veteran who has ever been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) on the federal gun ban list.

This is exactly what President Bill Clinton did over seven years ago when his administration illegitimately added some 83,000 veterans into the National Criminal Information System (NICS system) -- prohibiting them from purchasing firearms, simply because of afflictions like PTSD.

The proposed ban is actually broader. Anyone who is diagnosed as being a tiny danger to himself or others would have his gun rights taken away ... forever.

His Mom and Dad saw his potential early in his life and helped him live his possibilities, instead of impossibilities. It’s an inspirational story to remember, about how his parents helped Patrick turn his life’s lemons into sweet lemonade.

While sunscreens are generally effective at filtering out ultraviolet rays from the sun that cause sunburn (UVB rays), they don't work as well at filtering UVA rays, which penetrate the skin deeply and are more likely to cause skin cancer and wrinkles.

Misleading or confusing product labels are partly to blame for the widespread misinformation regarding sunscreens. In 1999, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said stricter rules for sunscreen testing and labeling would take effect in 2001, but this was put on hold indefinitely. In the fall of 2005, Congress ordered the FDA to produce the revised regulations within six months.

If you accept the premise that it is good to use sunblcok, which is typically not true, then many commercial sunblocks are not delivering what they promise.
