What do you do when you can't fall asleep? Read a book? Go out and wonder around? Sit and relax? The Museum of Tomorrow (MOT) offers another choice for night owls--visiting a museum after midnight.

"Taipei residents have nowhere to go at night. In addition, most museums are too quiet and austere. Therefore, the goal of MOT is to create an exhibition space that is more relaxing and more welcoming. Hopefully, the environment will provide the visitors with a more positive outlook, allowing them to feel more hope for tomorrow,"

MOT is organized by Ppaper at the request of JUT Foundation (忠泰建築文化藝術基金會). The objective of the project is to provide a 24-hour museum that sows a seed for a better future by connecting creativity, culture, environment, and aesthetics in a more approachable and intellectual way.

The 24-hour museum offers free admission

Unlike standard museums, MOT is not designed to be a permanent establishment, but intends to move locations frequently.

In an anti-establishment movement that’s taking the art world by storm, 6 of the world’s most famous Street Artists whose work is intricately connected to the urban environment were commissioned to paint the iconic river façade of Tate Modern exterior walls with 45 foot (15 meter) high towering artworks for the first major public museum display of Street Art in London.

All 6 artists are represented in major collections around the world and regularly shown in gallery exhibitions but their work began in public urban spaces and remains indebted to Street Art and graffiti traditions.

Test tubes make lousy wombs. Now comes a device that nurtures embryos like the real deal

Since the 1978 birth of Louise Brown, the first test-tube baby, in-vitro fertilization (IVF) has produced approximately three million infants worldwide. Although success rates continually improve, the science of making babies in the lab is still hit-or-miss. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that less than 29 percent of IVF attempts result in the successful birth of a child.

Those rates could soon soar, thanks to an innovation by fertility researchers at the University of Tokyo. Teruo Fujii and his colleagues have invented a plastic chip-like incubator that nurtures early embryos like a real womb does. Currently, IVF eggs mature while resting on the floor of a petri dish, a very unwomb-like environment. "We wanted to culture embryos in an environment that is closer to what happens inside the body," Fujii says.

Pope Benedict reads Ecorazzi every morning, just bought a solar powered pontif’s hat, and thinks Victoria E is hawt. He also wants his flock to start caring for their home- or as we put it around the PS office- stop f*&$ing up the planet.

“We all see that today man can destroy the foundation of his existence, his Earth,” he said.

Last April the Vatican sponsored a scientific conference on climate change to underscore the role that religious leaders around the world could play in reminding people that wilfully damaging the environment is sinful.

Brazil will offer free satellite Internet connections to indigenous tribes in the Amazon according to a report from Reuters. It says that the plan will help reduce illegal logging by enabling natives to monitor and report on illicit activities.

"It's a way to open communications between indigenous communities, former slave villages, coconut crackers, river fishermen and the rest of society," said Environment Minister Marina Silva in a statement. "These communities are the true protectors of their areas."

The initiative will bring Internet access to 150 small communities in the Amazon and other remote parts of Brazil. The federal government will not provide computers -- this will be up to state and local governments.

Separately the Brazilian government has ordered more than one million low-cost laptops from the One Laptop Per Child initiative. It is unclear whether any of these laptops will end up in the hands of children in these communities.

Grammy-Nominated Artist's Musical Influences Span the Globe

Kidjo was born into the Petah tribe in July 1960. She grew up with eight brothers and sisters in a lively home environment. Her mother, Yvonne, was a famous choreographer who ran a theater troupe. When she was 6 years old, Kidjo made her public performance debut, substituting for an actress who fell ill in her mother's show. From that point on, she performed with the troupe all over West Africa.

"I grew up in a very poor country where you are joyful and positive, or you disappear," Kidjo said. "So, since I was a child, I always had that positive approach to life. I always give people the benefit of the doubt."
