Nine Inch Nails Releases Ghosts I-IV

Sometime yesterday Trent Reznor released his latest Nine Inch Nails album. According to everything I have read, Ghosts I-IV is an instrumental album and it is available on the NIN website as a free or $5 download. You can also order various cd packages ranging from $10 - $300. I ordered my copy for $10 and I also got the mp3 download with it. Unfortunately, my download never completely finished and I am still waiting for an e-mail from the NIN store that will hopefully give me access again. So obviously, I haven’t gotten a chance to listen to it yet. It will be interesting to see how quickly I get my issues resolved with the store!

Saturday, I got a new phone and I thought I would post some pictures of it. Its a shiny new Motorola Z6m ROKR phone. So far I absolutely love it. I was a little skeptical of getting a slider phone at first, but this phone had some great features that include ability to play music, a 2.0 megapixel camera, and animated wallpaper. So anyway here it is:

Hitman Is A Killer Hit!

On Saturday, I went with Jeff to see Hitman. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I thought Timothy Olyphant was awesome in this movie. Dougray Scott is also in the film, who played the main villian in Mission Impossible 2. The movie is based on the popular video game and is about a hitman that has a hit put on him while being chased by an Interpol inspector. This movie is filled with action and highly recommend seeing it. I give it 5 stars!

Flock Releases 1.0!

I have been keeping an eye on Flock for the 1.o release to give it a whirl. I am actually pleased with how well performance seems to be. It even seems better than Firefox to me. The theme looks great and works well for me. All of my extensions installed except for two older ones that still work in Firefox. Just about the only thing that still disappoints me is that there aren’t that many services built in. I wish Flock would put in MySpace, Buzznet, Last.fm, Picasa Web Albums, and more. I am sure that they are going to add more. Perhaps they should create extensions for the different services so that you can pick which ones you want to be built in. That way it can be customized for each user. Overall, I am pleased with Flock and it is now my default browser until I find something wrong with it. Maybe I won’t. I am actually posting this entry from Flock right now! Flock on, people!

Dancing The Night Away At The Van Halen Chicago Reunion Show!

Thursday, I saw Van Halen live at the United Center in Chicago. Jenny and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Its no secret that this time around, David Lee Roth is back! They played all the old school Van Halen songs, including some that haven’t been played awhile like Little Guitars, I’ll Wait, Mean Street, Unchained, Dance The Night Away, Ice Cream Man, and more. David Lee Roth is still quite the performer with his baton twirling, kicks, and dancing. He also showed off his storytelling skills before playing Ice Cream Man. Diamond Dave told a story about being at Kenny’s, smoking pot, and watching the seeds roll off the Pink Floyd album cover. Eddie Van Halen was also looking good after being in rehab and he performed awesome as usual. Alex Van Halen still has his great talent as well, which was obvious during the drum solo. Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie’s 16-year-old son, played bass and his great moment was when he told Dave, “Gimme A Break” during Unchained.

The Kingdom Is A Violent Trip To The Middle East!

I saw the movie, The Kingdom last night. The movie was about some FBI agents that went to Saudi Arabia to investigate a bombing that took the lives of many Americans there. I think the movie did a good job of illustrating how evil violence can be and how much more can be accomplished when two nations work together to find the perpetrators. I highly recommend seeing The Kingdom.

Into The Wild Is A Life Journey Into The Wild!

I just saw Into the Wild with Emile Hirsch. It was a movie about a great adventure that a young man took in Alaska. Running away from his family, he became a gypsy and enjoyed the wild. I enjoyed the scenery in the film as well. The end was surprising and it became evident that it was a true story, which I did not know going into the theater. This movie is definitely worth seeing!

Yesterday, I went to see Collective Soul and Live perform at the Congress Theater in Chicago on Milwaukee Street. This concert had to be one of the best shows that I have been to, ever! I had a little trouble at first because I wasn’t able to print my ticket anywhere before the show. I finally did get in after they found my name on a list of people who bought tickets for the show. When I walked in there I wasn’t thrilled with the fact that it was standing room only and it was very warm inside.

Heroes Picks Up For Months Later!

Heroes Season 2 began last night and it starts four months after the last finale. It was very good. Some of my favorite highlights of the premiere were Hiro meeting his hero, Dr. Suresh getting recruited by the company and conspiring with Noah Bennett to take them down, and the discovery of Peter Petrelli. I am thirsty for more and can’t wait for next week!

The Brave One Is A Killer Movie!

I just got back from viewing The Brave One with Jodie Foster and it was very good flick. The movie kept me wondering what Jodie was going to do next as she walked the streets killing people that messed with her. There were some slow moments but overall the movie was filled with suspenseful drama that kept me wanting to see what happened next. I highly recommend this movie and right now there aren’t many movies that have come out this month that look good. The Brave One is in my opinion the movie of the month to make sure you catch before it leaves theaters.

Survivor: China Begins, Chicken Gets Voted Off!

Survivor: China started on Thursday. The group of survivors were separated into tribes. There was an immunity challenge where Fei Long won. Zhan Hu went to tribal council. All the normal Survivor stuff happened. Chicken was the first castaway voted off. With a name like Chicken, I am glad he’s gone! Anyway, what happened to Exile Island and the hidden immunity idol? Is it gone for this season? Anyway, I look forward to next week!

I just got done watching the premiere of Kid Nation and I liked it. 40 kids have been given an opportunity to make a ghost town into a kid run town. When the show began, they were let off in the desert, given little instructions and sent to Bonanza City. Four kids were pre-chosen to be leaders. Some of the kids got homesick right off the bat but other kids really stepped up to try and help out in the town. The next day they split up into four groups, all with a different color. Then there was a Survivor-like challenge to determine which kids were given which jobs. The red team won the upper class category, the blue came in second and got the merchant category, the yellow came in third and got the cook category, and finally the green got to be the cleaning crew. Since the challenge ended within an hour
