The grass that is cut is considered to be the useless remainder while cutting grass. The product “Muwi” benefits the third party in numerous ways by the act of cutting grass in order to create fair grass. “Muwi” first acknowledges the entire size of the land and automatically cuts the grass. The cut grass, which is created upon cutting the grass, is stored inside. As the cut grass begins to accumulate inside the machine, “Muwi” constructs and compresses the cut grass into two types of blocks. Then this cut grass is no longer a remainder that needs extra efforts to be thrown out or cleaned up. It rather becomes balls for children to play with or a chair to sit on or any other opportunity. These newly created blocks give care without even realizing it. Furthermore, after these blocks are used and left behind, they naturally go back to its neighboring nature in time. It is circulated again through nature and gives nature and us the natural consideration.

The gadget was designed by Mac Funamizu and uses Google Maps along with a digital camera to show you informations of the thing or place you point it to. The idea is to know anything about anything, meaning you can point it to a flower,muzeum, street and give you details about it. But this is not all, featuring a scanner, WiFi and search.

This could be your personal encyclopedia that won’t let you get lost or uninformed about anything you want. Unfortunately, the current technology isn’t able yet to to all those things and it will take many years until we will see it in stores in this exact form. Until then, a version with less features might get released.

Strands of DNA Make Nano-Smiley

March 15, 2006—A nanotechnologist has created the world's smallest and most plentiful Smiley, a tiny face measuring a few billionths of a meter across that is assembled from strands of DNA.

Fifty billion Smileys, each a thousand times smaller than the diameter of a human hair, can be made at a stroke under the technique pioneered by Paul Rothemund at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).

DNA, the molecule that comprises living things, has long been known for its versatility as a microscopic building block.

The molecule can be "cut" using enzymes and reassembled using matching rungs in its double-helix structure. This theoretically opens the way to making DNA quantum computers and nano-level devices including injectable robots that can monitor the body's tissues for good health.

"In this research, Paul has scored a few unusual 'firsts' for humanity," his colleague, Erik Winfree, said. "In a typical reaction, he can make about 50 billion Smiley faces. I think this is the most concentrated happiness ever created."

Winfree said there could be huge potential benefits from this apparently whimsical work, as it provided a major new tool for putting molecular-level machinery together.

"Spaceplanes" that take off like an aeroplane and fly to orbit have been a dream of some space engineers and science fiction writers for decades. Expendable SSTO VTOL vehicles are simple to design using existing components (see "A Single-Stage-to-Orbit Thought Experiment "). By contrast, reusable SSTO HTOL vehicles aren't technologically possible today.

Although, in future, new-technology air-breathing rocket engines may come to be used for some part of passenger launch vehicles' flight to orbit, it's difficult to make a convincing case that vehicles using technology that doesn't exist yet will be competitive with ones using known technology for at least the next few decades. Henry Ford didn't wait for the V-8 engine to be invented and developed before he started selling cars!

Space and Advanced Technology

Nowadays, teams of engineers typically take five to ten years to develop a new space system, spending tens to thousands of millions of dollars along the way. These engineering delays and costs make progress painfully slow. In coming years, though, computer-aided design systems will evolve toward automated engineering systems. As they do, engineering delays and costs will shrink and then plummet; computer-controlled manufacturing systems will drop overall costs still further. A day will come when automated design and manufacturing will have made space systems development more than tenfold faster and cheaper. Our progress in space will soar.

Since nanotechnology lends itself to making small things, consider the smallest person-carrying spacecraft: the spacesuit. Forced to use weak, heavy, passive materials, engineers now make bulky, clumsy spacesuits. A look at an advanced spacesuit will illustrate some of the capabilities of nanotechnology.
