"Thirteen nuclear reactors existed in "prehistoric" periods along the 200-metre mine bed at Oklo --it was discovered in 1972, and they were comparable to the modern nuclear reactor in power and heat combustion.

This mine had the capability of enabling self-sustained nuclear chain reactions". This discovery shocked the entire scientific community back in 1972---but hold on,-- we'll get back to this later.

New Layer of Ancient Greek Writings Detected in Medieval Book

At first glance, the manuscript appears to be a medieval Christian prayer book.

But on the same pages as the prayers, experts using a high-tech imaging system have discovered commentary likely written in the third century A.D. on a work written around 350 B.C. by the Greek philosopher Aristotle.

Later the writing was washed out using a solvent such as orange juice and overwritten with new text—a process known as palimpsesting.

By the 12th century, pages from five different earlier works had been erased, overwritten, and compiled into a Christian prayer book, the Euchologion—what is now called the Archimedes Palimpsest.

What would have happened if the asteroid that supposedly hit the Earth at the end of the Cretaceous period (see Cretaceous-Tertiary Boundary), 65 million years ago, had missed? One possibility is that the dinosaurs would not have become extinct, advanced mammals would subsequently not have appeared, and some of the descendants of dinosaurs might have evolved to become intelligent in our place.

Projecting how other characteristics of this species might have developed he came up with a model of a large-brained, reptilian biped with enormous eyes, three-fingered hands, an absence of external genitalia (typical of reptiles), and a navel (since a placenta is found in some modern reptiles and may have been needed to enable the birth of young with big brain cases).

Who made them, why did they make them and how did they make them? We certainly can't duplicate them with modern technology, presuming that we wanted to. They have been found in various locations throughout the world. Microscopic examination of the "legitimate" crystal skulls shows no tool marks.

Scientists are finding it difficult to explain how a primitive culture (because the skulls are known to be at least several hundred years old and possibly some several thosusand) could have carved crystal into such precise shapes and against the natural axis of the crystal.

Crystal is a mineral characterized by perfect molecular symmetry . When a "jeweler" cuts crystal, and attempts to carve against this axis, the crystal shatters.

Even with todays elaborate laser equipment, it would be very difficult to create such crystal sculptures.

Very Large Foot Print in Solid Granite

It's one heck of a climb to see the footprint; more than a thousand feet up a rugged mountain in the Cleveland National Forest. And James Snyder's house sits right at the bottom. "I go out of my way to make a slip trail where nobody else has been and I was actually looking for gold," said Snyder (the discoverer).

That was back in February 2002 . But instead of finding gold on Gowers Mountain, Snyder found a giant fossilized footprint, at least it looks like one, embedded in solid granite.

The footprint was found in what becomes a creek bed during the rainy season. It looks as though something big crossed the creek a long time ago leaving its footprint behind.

What made it and when? Who knows....Granite is supposed to have formed over 1 billion years ago.

No doubt scientists will try to argue that it just looks like a footprint as they do for every one of these types of anomalies. For science, if not fraud it's the only acceptable answer.

Most of what we know about dinosaurs, we have learned by studying their bones, but that might change very soon.

"The skin appears to have internal structures inside of the scales," Clarke said. "These could be some kind of ligament attachments."

"A CAT scan of the skull, since it's so complete, could reveal the brain cavity, which could then tell us about the shape of its brain," said Richard Kissel, a dinosaur education specialist at the Field Museum in Chicago, who is not involved with the research. "It might then be determined how good the dinosaur's sense of smell and eyesight were."

The paleontologists theorize that such lack of contamination could be why soft tissue was recovered in the Tyrannosaurus rex.
