I was able to obtain a screenshot of the unreleased Opera 9, currently in development, which shows a new hover feature. When hovering over a tab, a thumbnail image of the tab (page/window) content is shown (see screenshot below).

Internet Explorer's (IE) latest preview release contains a similar feature, however, IE doesn't show the thumbnail image when hovering over the tab, it only displays the thumbnails of all open tabs in a single window.

Opera 9 will support Widgets

EXCLUSIVE

Back in November there was speculation that Opera 9 will add widget support. At that time (and now) an Opera spokesman wouldn't confirm anything to Opera Watch. However, multiple sources familiar with the development of Opera 9 have confirmed to me that Opera 9 will in fact have Widget support.

It's not entirely clear to me whether the widgets, which are small programs that use Opera's rendering engine, will run in the browser (sort of like Firefox's extensions) or whether they can also be run on the user's desktop outside of the browser. From the screenshots (see one of them below) that I have seen, it appears that the widgets will run inside of the Opera browser.

Is widgets Opera's answer to Firefox's popular extensions?

User opinion: With the exception of Excel, this is most valuable software I own. Working for a large company we have a lot of data to track. This does the job, and across networks also. No limits on index size, speed is excellent and recent releases are extremely stable. I have over 20K documents and 2M words index. Tried Yahoo and Google but dumped them both after 30 minutes. Great product. My only request would be the ability to have a history of previous search configurations. Just a clean, fast product with better support than most commercial products. I#039;ve actually got a call from Tech support over a previous issue. That was a first for me. [User Rating: 5 - License: Freeware]
